My wife purchased these wedges for me back in April 2025 for our wedding anniversary after I had done my own research. I’ve now managed to play around 20 rounds with them over the summer and my honest feedback is that they really do offer extreme value for money at a little over £30.00 per club (current price as of Sept 2025)!

Hi guys, welcome back to the channel. Today I’m going to be doing something a little bit different. I’m going to give you an honest review of the Lazarus wedges that I bought a couple of months ago. No sponsorship, no free gear. Paid for these wedges out of my own pocket. Well, my wife did. They were actually an anniversary present, but I’ve had plenty of rounds now to see if they perform the way that they’re advertised and if they actually make a difference to my game. I bought the wedges in April this year, so April 2025. And at the time they were around £179 delivered. Um I managed to find a discount code. I got them for about £142 delivered. So I’ve actually just been on to the Lazarus website and checked the current price. They’re on their website today. All three wedges for £112. The discount code that I used at the time, which was easy 15, still also works and brings the total cost down to around £95 for three clubs, 52°, a 56°, and a 60° wedge. all for under 100 quid and just over30 per club. I’ll put the link in the description below so that you guys can check out the clubs for yourself. From what I’ve read, Lazarus are an American-based company. They ship direct from warehouse to consumer, cutting out the middleman. So, that saves everybody the money. So, a little bit of context, I started playing golf a lot more regularly this year. It was my New Year’s resolution to get out and play more golf with a view to really starting to reduce my handicap. I’m a high handicap golfer and wanted to start making a real difference with my game by improving shots in and around the green, which is why I’ve always struggled. So, had a look at a few reviews online, landed on the Lazarus set, and hope for the best. Basically, I’ve been playing with my old wedges for about six or seven years. My set is a Cobra XL Fly, so again, it’s not a premium top rate set, and my set came with a pitching wedge and a sand wedge. Now, in and around the greens, I’d really struggled with the short shots because I just wasn’t confident. Not having the right club made me really nervous and inconsistent around the greens and only added strokes to my game. As I said, I started looking online for a set that could give me more consistency, more feel, and more confidence in and around the greens and landed on the Lazarus set. Found a few YouTube videos with people also reviewing the set and mostly gave them thumbs up. They’ve got milled faces, forged heads, and seemed like a lot of club for the money, which isn’t going to break the bank. When they arrived, I’ll admit I was impressed. They were packaged really well, solid cardboard box, and took less than a week to arrive. The look seemed really sleek and modern, and for me had a real premium look. They offer the wedges in three different colors: steel, black, and rainbow, which is the option that I went for. The grips felt solid. However, one immediate flaw for me that I noticed when they arrived was the grip on the 52° wasn’t fitted straight. So, that was a bit disappointing. And to be honest, it actually cheapened the set for me a little bit. Now, after 5 months of playing with these clubs, here’s what I found. All three clubs give me consistent distance control, and I’m seeing a good amount of spin on the greens. Around the greens, the 56 is definitely my go-to club. I’ve practiced so much with this club and it definitely does what I want it to about 80% of the time, which for a high handicapped golfer is pretty good. The contact feels really soft. I can tell immediately on the m hits, but when you do catch it clean, it feels incredibly satisfying. I’ve used the lob wedge out of bunkers, out of the rough, out of tight lies. I do need to practice more with the 60° because I’ve noticed when I’m in and around the green, I have on occasion chip the ball about a yard. The loft is so strong that when I’m connecting with the ball, it’s just going up and it’s going down again. But that’s nothing to do with the club. That’s just me not being able to use it yet. The downsides, honestly, for me, there aren’t really many. Of course, they’re not perfect, but I’m a high handicap amateur golfer, so most wedge sets would probably improve my game. As I mentioned before, one of the grips was put on crooked, so that was an immediate downside. The finish does wear down on the rainbow set, but not as quick as you would probably think. They do scratch up a little bit, but for me, that would be expected after a couple of rounds. Anyway, I’ve definitely used the 52° the least, and you can see that in the wear compared to the 56 and the 60° in the color. I’d say these wedges are probably best for mid to high handicappers who are just looking to shave strokes off the game. If you’re new to golf, I would say for the price, this is a set that I would seriously consider. To sum it up, I’ve been really happy with these wedges since they arrived. They’re not magic, and of course, I had to practice on the course and off the course in order to improve, but they have absolutely shaved strokes off my game. I’m now regularly scoring between 38 and 40 on our local 9-hole course, which is a par 29. So on average, I’m scoring between nine and 11 over on each round, whereas at the start of the year, I was shooting in the mid-50s. These wedges have given me so much more confidence when I’m within 100 yards of the green. Like I said at the start of the video, I’ve not been paid or sponsored to do this review. This is my honest feedback and review on these clubs. If you found this review helpful, please hit the like and subscribe button below for more golf content.
