It FINALLY Happened!! 😳πŸ”₯😍 #golf #golfer #golftournament

Trying to do something that’s never been done before. Three repeat at Tory Pines. Today’s the second round of the Tory Pines Club Championship and I’m currently four back of the lead. We need a low one today. Shoot something in the mid60s. The goal on the first TE was just not to miss the ball, which I managed. Hit a gap wedge from 125 exactly where I was looking and had this for an opening birdie. Buckets that was huge. Not sure if there’s a better feeling than bearing a 15-footer dead center cuz they’re the ones you feel like you should make, but realistically you might only make 30%. After just missing the tree with a nine iron, I had another good look at birdie on two. Bit of a misread here. Three was playing tough. 225 uphill into the wind and hit a 4 iron to the left fringe. Just looking to two putt this one and lagged it up nicely. Stress free. Thanks. Four is a tough dog leg left and I smoked at 330 straight over the corner. Best drive so far. Only had 95 yards and hit a stock lob wedge right over the pin. Got a really good teach on this putt and knew I just had to get it started on line. Hang on. Boom. Great birdie there. Thank you. Had a reachable par five here, but flipped my T-shot a little left and ended up with some tree trouble. Hitting a hook with the ball below your feet is not the easiest shot. Keep hooking. Keep hooking. But I was pretty happy with this one. Left myself a long putt from the front up over a ridge and it was trapped one time. Oh, I’ll take birdie here all day. Six is a scoring hole after a good drive. Had 106 to a back pin, but had to be careful of a flyer. Threw a sand wedge right at it. Just jumped out of that lie a little bit more than I expected. Just gave this one a little tappy. One time. Let’s go. Two times. It didn’t go in though. One time. I still had it. Seven was playing about 310 to the hole and just tried to smooth the driver up there. Had an awkward uphill lie with deep sand. Not my favorite type of shot. And left myself a sliding birdie putt. Just never high enough. Made my first bad iron swing on eight. Tried to hit a soft seven iron and just blocked it, bouncing down long right off the green. Then tried to get queued off a bad lie and made the cardinal send, leaving myself another chip. This is one of the biggest hacks to avoiding doubles. Always get your first chip on the green. Lucky to save bogey here. Nine’s a reachable par five and I smoke my drive 320 right down the middle. Had six iron in from 195 and safely played to the middle of the green. Then had this 35-footer for eagle right in the center. So four under on the front in a rhythm. And now time to turn off my brain and see how low I can go. Stay up. Stay up. Stay up.
