MAINEVILLE, OH – The second round of the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G was held Sept. 12 at TPC River’s Bend.

The tournament began Sept. 11 with Chanettee Wannasaen tying the course record set by reigning champion Lydia Ko in last year’s final round.

Friday was moving day at the Kroger Queen City Championship with some of the LPGA’s top stars moving up the leaderboard while others fought to get inside the cut line heading into the weekend.

Charley Hull began the back-9 with a birdie, then got a long eagle putt to drop on the par-5 11th. Hull moves to 10-under for the tournament and into a tie for third-place alongside Gigi Stoll and Sei Young Kim.

Nelly Korda into the top 5 after another birdie

World No. 2 Nelly Korda has birdied three of the last four holes to move to 9-under for the tournament and into a tie for fifth place with Jiwon Jeon and Frida Kinhult.

Charley Hull cracks the top 10 at the Kroger Queen City Championship

Charley Hull just opened the back-9 by draining a birdie on the par-4 10th hole. She moves into a tie for eighth place at 8-under for the tournament.

The projected cut line at the Kroger Queen City Championship is sitting at -2. There are 76 golfers currently above the cut line as second-round play continue at TPC River’s Bend.

Nelly Korda back in top 10 of Kroger Queen City Championship

Nelly Korda has gone seven consecutive holes without a par, notching five birdies and a pair of bogeys in that stretch. She played the front-9 with a 3-under 33 and is now in a five-way tie for seventh place.

Chanettee Wannasaen, the first-round leader, has reclaimed the top spot on the Kroger Queen City Championship from Jeeno Thitikul. Wannasaen has played the first 10 holes of the second round at 3-under, to move to 12-under for the tournament.

Gigi Stoll tied for the lead at Kroger Queen City Championship

Heading into the final hole of the second round, American Gigi Stoll is tied with Jeeno Thitikul for first place at 11-under. Stoll was the solo second-place finisher after Round 1 and has played the last nine holes at 5-under after a double-bogey on No. 17.

Jeeno Thitikul is 10-under for the tournament and 7-under in the second round to take sole possession of first place at the Kroger Queen City Championship.

World No. 1 Jenno Thitikul heating up

Jeeno Thitikul, the reigning Kroger Queen City Championship runner-up, is 5-under par through 14 holes in the second round. She has birdied four of the last six holes and is tied with Jennifer Kupcho for the lowest round thus far today. Thitikul sits in a third-place tie at 8-under for the tournament.

Sei Young Kim surges into first-place tie

Sei Young Kim, a 32-year-old with 10 career LPGA Tour wins, is 3-under through 13 to climb into a first-place tie with Chanettee Wannasaen.
