Antique golf clubs can make great wall mounts.

I receive requests to refinish antique woods several times a year. It takes me back to the days when I would refinish ten sets a week. It has become a lost art.

I conducted a repair and golf club refinishing school in Michigan in the 1980s. Now there is a handful of club repairmen in the world who refinish old wood heads.

Antique woods make an attractive wall piece for the den or office. The grain in a Persimmon wood is different on each head and, much like a fingerprint, each one is different. And very eye-catching, a great conversation piece.

Also, there was nothing like the sound of a golf ball being launched from a persimmon wood, much like the sound of a wooden bat in baseball.

When shopping at a garage sale, keep an eye out for antique woods and add a touch of nostalgia to your life. You will then enjoy this great game called golf while in your office or den.
