ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women’s golf team will have a pair of individuals competing this week, as senior captain Hallie Brisco and junior Emma Tang are set to represent the Midshipmen on Sept. 15-16 in the fifth annual Jackson T. Stephens Cup at the prestigious Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Illinois.
Monday’s action begins with the first round teeing off at 8:00 a.m. ET, followed by the second round in the afternoon, while the final round on Tuesday is set for a 12:00 p.m. ET tee time. Now in its fifth year, the JTS will be televised live on GOLF Channel and will air Monday, September 15 (5–8 p.m. ET) and Tuesday, September 16 (4–7 p.m. ET).

Playing in the fifth annual Stephens Cup, Brisco and Tang will make the trip west to play 54 holes at the Shoreacres golf club … Nestled along the pristine shoreline of Lake Michigan, Shoreacres stands as one of the most revered and quietly prestigious golf clubs in the country … The Stephens Cup is named in memory of the late Augusta National Chairman Jackson T. Navy at the Stephens Cup
Navy has sent a golfer to each of the first four Stephens Cups … Tori Smith was selected for the inaugural Stephens Cup in 2021 at the Alotian Club in Roland, Ark., as her rounds of 86-82-81 gave her a final score of 33-over par 249 that landed her 34th in stroke play … Eve Worden represented the Mids in 2022 at the Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Fla., taking 36th in a loaded field after scoring a 16-over par 232 (77-81-74) … The 2023 Stephens Cup had Stephanie Lee finishing 37th on the player leaderboard at 19-over par 235, playing at the Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas, Texas … The 2024 JTS Cup had Sue Lee close out at 20-over par 230 and tying for 26th in the field, which marked the best finish by a Midshipmen in the four-year history of the event, while Bridget Hoang ended the tournament in 34th at 42-over par 252.

A strong performance in Monday’s opening round helped Navy eventually collect a 10th-place finish on Wednesday at the season-opening 2025 Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Mich. … Competing in the three-day, nationally-televised tournament at the par-72, 6,206-yard American Dunes Golf Club, the Mids registered a three-round score of 61-over par 925 to earn 10th in the 12-team field that included seven teams that ended the 2024-25 season ranked in the Top-25 … Tang paced the Mids by tying for 16th on the player leaderboard at 8-over par 224, while a consistent showing from sophomore Vivian Cressman found her finishing tied for 35th at 13-over par 229
