This is Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson at the Ryder Cup in 2004. At the time, they were the first and second best golfers in the competition. And so, teaming them up together at Oakland Hills on home soil in 2004 made a lot of sense. But then they lost. And then they lost again on their way to watching Team USA lose by the largest margin of victory for Europe or for any team in the RDER Cup since 1981. Why? Well, the numbers suggest that Tiger wasn’t very good at the RDER Cup, at least in team matches, winning about 33% of total points possible to him while only winning one out of eight total tries with Team USA.
