As much as I hate being behind slow players, I’m starting to hate the people who post about it nonstop on the internet more.

Agree. I was stuck behind some high school tournament (6-7 groups) two weeks ago at a 9 hole course. After two holes, I chalked it up as a donation and went home.
If you got plans for shortly after you think your round is going to finish, that’s your first mistake.

I resemble that remark, and I have questions…
Brand new player here – My family (me, wife, 11yo daughter) did our first 18 holes last Sunday at a locally known learner’s course – we talked to the players behind us, explained why we were so slow, and offered to let them play through. Is there anything else we should be doing until we can get up to pace?
