Woods has not stepped onto the course since he failed to qualify for the Open Championship in July 2024. After an Achilles injury, he missed most of 2025.
Tiger suffered a ligament tear, which required him to undergo surgery in March. This occurred less than a year after his sixth back surgery.
In 2023, he also underwent a surgical procedure for ankle issues, and in 2021, he had several surgeries on his knee, ankle, and back following a serious car accident that could have cost him his leg.
Since then, he has only participated in 11 events.
Glimmers of Hope
Now, however, Woods appears ready to return, delighting his fans. Today he demonstrated his swing at Liberty National Golf Club in New York, located near the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty. This course is part of the amateur tournament NEXUS Cup, organized by Woods himself.

The video showed that he does not feel discomfort taking several shots with a short club. It is worth noting that his appearance came just after the opening of a new ‘training center’ in Philadelphia.
This has sparked excitement among fans about the possible end of his career. But the latest footage shows that Woods may be ready to return to the game.
Perhaps he aims to return for the 2026 Masters, which will take place in the second week of April. Although he ranks 1,389th in the world, he is eligible to participate as one of the former champions.
One fan said: “Oh my God, oh my God.”
Another remarked: “This is a very quick recovery. I’m not surprised since this guy has willpower.”
Yet another said: “Tiger looks great.”
Tiger Woods continues to recover from serious injuries, and his return to the course could be a significant event not just for him but for the entire golf world. His fans continue to hope that he can return to his former form and delight them with his performances once again. Time will tell what further successes await the golf legend.
