We weren’t disappointed right away. The pomp, the circumstance, the pageantry around, you know, ring ceremonies and the trophy coming on the field and celebrating in front of the hated rival Dallas Cowboys. There was hatred right off the bat. People in the seven and seven. We talk about Jalen Carter. What are you doing man. The best player on the Eagles defense. One of the best defensive linemen in football. Spits on Dak Prescott. Thrown out of the football game with a 15 yard penalty before he took a snap. It’s opening night, brother. What are you doing? Well I’ll tell you what he wasn’t doing. And that’s playing. So congratulations. Yeah you should be really fresh for next week against Kansas City, I guess. Try not spitting on anybody next week. That would be really fantastic. Especially eye opening night. Nine zillion cameras all over the place above you. How did you think this was? I mean, my goodness, man. But hey, listen, they they were able to rally around at the Eagles and get it done, which ultimately is all that matters. Is this like the butter you talk about like like what would have happened. Like oh my goodness. Jalen Carter hurt his knees out 7 to 8 weeks or he’s out for the season. He said well I wish he would have spit on somebody before the game. So he didn’t get injured and he get saved here. Who knows if he would have dominated. Who knows if he would have got thrown out in the second quarter because how geeked up he was for this game. But you can’t do that. You can’t be the best player on your team and get ejected before the team actually plays a snap advantage. Dallas Cowboys They couldn’t take advantage in a victory, but it was apparent that Jalen Carter’s out of the game. We can run the football tonight. Let’s get after it. Let’s have some fun. Winners. The Philadelphia Eagles 24 to 20 over the Dallas Cowboys to kick off your regular season. Now talking about kicking off the regular season Joe you got to get to the starting gate before you can kick off your season and have a big one. Jalen Carter didn’t get there. Is Christian McCaffrey going to get there. You got to be like l the injuries this guy has. He pops up late yesterday on the report like oh yeah. Banged up my calf at practice. Disaster warning in San Francisco Joe. Well you know we’re in sports betting Donny. We all know there’s no such thing as a lock, right? You got that? You got taxes. And the only other lock I can think of is Christian McCaffrey, in all likelihood, missing games because he’s injured at some particular point. And same thing last year against the Jets to open the season. He was a late scratch. Then in Germany trying to get a doctor to look then. And then he misses what the first eight games of the season plays. A couple gets hurt, hey, you knw what? I don’t play football. I’m just looking to walk around the block a couple times. You play a collision sport like the NFL. I don’t know how long it’s going to last, but I honestly, I would be surprised if he plays this weekend. And if he does play, he’s definitely getting injured or hurt in that calf. Even worse at this point. Let’s keep it moving. Nick Benito, very good defensive end, outside outside pass rusher for the Denver Broncos. He got paid Joe four year deal. Welcome into the money club kid and well deserved you know quietly under the radar. One of the best in the game. And also I think that defense we’re going to be talking a lot about that Broncos defense this year. And he is a big reason as to why we will. Yeah. No, there’s a lot of again the question marks in the 40 niners are bad question marks. Like I just think they’re all injured. I don’t think they’re going to have a lot of success this year. The question marks on Denver Joe for me are always they should be really good this year. But if they’re really bad I can see it because maybe Bo Nix was really good and maybe he has a slump this year. There’s a lot of things to watch out for, but the one thing we do know, they got a really good head coach and the sky’s the limit for the Broncos. And certainly for Benito, that guy can absolutely get after the passer. Those are the guys you pay pay and those are the guys that you like to keep around UNC football. I’ll tell you, they’re not keeping around. Hey Patriots, you want to send a guy down here to check out some of these players next year? You are not welcome on campus. Let me guess they’re banning the Patriots. Then we want to ban his girlfriend and sooner or later they might ban Bill Belichick. It wasn’t as if UNC is like the super underdog coming into opening night. Oh my goodness. How can they compete here. And they’re going to get smashed like the vibes were high because it’s Bill Belichick. And can he turn around North Carolina into a bowl contender or maybe into the playoffs in a couple of years. How like I can’t think of a more demoralizing moment. Like you show up with all that fanfare where everybody prime time game, it’s all about you. You get smashed. It was probably so hard to go to sleep that night and wake up the next morning, like, where do we go from here? So quick question like, where does Carolina go from here? Where do they go? Well, I told you, Donnie, after that game, I would not have wanted to be a North Carolina defender at practice all week because all they probably did was tackle themselves because it was awful. So no one Belichick there was there were fumble drills. There were tackle. There were a lot of physical things going on at practice this week. And we’ll see if it if it equates to better play on that side of the ball. Coming up this week, Jordan Brand’s got to be upset with that outlook man. You win some games at Carolina. You sell more shoes, you sell more clothes and away you go. Not a good look for them. I’ll tell you what else isn’t a good look. Not Caitlin Clark’s fault, just I don’t know how many injuries he suffered this season, but he’s not coming back to the WNBA. Send out that tweet yesterday basically saying, hey, it is what it is. We’re certainly going to have you on again on college football today. But the big game of the week last week was Ohio State and Texas. Very good defensive battle. Tough place to play. First time environment in the shoe for Arch Manning. Let me talk to you about this week. You’ve been in this situation probably many times before. High expectations for Arch Manning. You lose game number one. How do you coach up Arch Manning? Is it a lot of love coaching up? Is it coaching him hard and also setting him up for success in a game where Texas should roll this week? But both those things one, you do have to put your arms around him and say relax, calm down. You were a you know, he was a rookie in big games that the shoe is a difficult place to play in a lot of ways. He was a rookie. He has started some lesser games and so he’s human and he started out with that kind of performance. Sarkisian needs to give him a great game. He needs to have numbers. I would, though, and Sarkisian said after the game. We need more explosive plays. So look for about 350 to 400 yards 4 or 5 touchdown passes. That’s what he needs Steve Sarkisian can give him that against a San Jose State team that lost to Central Michigan. I’m just saying the best remedy is to have a big game. Lots of explosive plays. The things they couldn’t do against Ohio State. We spoke to you last week. I think you had a birthday party somewhere near Tallahassee, I believe. Dear boy, that must have been some celebration after watching Florida State just smack down Alabama. Yeah, the Noles gave my mother her best 93rd birthday present she’s had in a long time with that big win. You know, my dad’s favorite team growing up was Alabama. So that was a big win in the Bowden family, I promise you. But boy, you know, I picked them to cover the spread I mean 13.5 points. But that kind of game could never have known it. I said it on X, I said it on the internet. What was Alabama thinking? There’s a book on Gus Malzahn that’s 50 chapters, half of them against Alabama. They should have known what to defend against FSU. Coach, let me ask you a question because I love this. You know, we say like back in the day in the 1990s, like, you know, players weren’t getting paid. Transfer rules were tougher. Talk to me about how a college coach, Mike Norvell, that says, I’m going to completely do like a line change on my football team, have one offseason with them and come out with that type of effort. That’s unbelievable. The fastest way you can turn programs around by getting a lot of players in the building. No, really. And coordinators, look how many teams are changing coordinators mid-season. At the end of the year, you don’t hit on all of them, but if you hit on the right ones and at FSU, it was Tommy Castellanos from Boston College at quarterback, Gus Malzahn is the coordinator with an offensive style that’s very hard to stop. He pulled out all the tricks, all the specials. He’s been calling plays in Division one power for for the last 15 years, and Alabama had no answer for it. You know, he was six and six against Alabama when he was at Arkansas and at Auburn and the places he’d been. So he had a good track record, like I say, amazed at Alabama. Couldn’t go back and study that video. I think they watched too much of 2024. But when you bring in that many kind of transfers, you’ve just got to hit on a few. And if you can hit on the quarterback, that could change everything. Coach rivalries are always great, usually always favor the home team. But one of my favorite rivalries every year is the Cy-hawk, where you got Iowa taking on Iowa State and coach. The home team never wins in this game. It’s always the Iowa State hasn’t won a game against Iowa at home in years. Like so. What gives here? Well, you know, I, I think Matt Campbell’s a difference maker. I think he’s one of the best coaches in the country. I coached against him when I was at Akron. He was at Toledo. Very few penalties in the game, very few turnovers. Makes his players play great fundamental football. And Rocco Beck plays just like his head coach coaches. He goes out there and leads and manages, doesn’t make mistakes. And at the end of the day, that’s why you kind of you have to go with Iowa State in this game. And Ames, how about this one coach monster game 730 on Saturday night. Michigan and Oklahoma. The game of the weekend here. Michigan with a young quarterback going into a hostile environment. Talk to us about that Michigan Oklahoma game slate favorite to Oklahoma here. Yeah well it’s being played in Norman and that’s big I’ve coached I’ve been in Norman twice. Billy Sims was a tailback when I played against Oklahoma. That’ll that’ll take you back to the 70s. But Mayfield when I took my Akron team over there, it’s a great home field advantage when they’re electric and when they’re on fire. I think that’s what’s going on there. The biggest difference a mature veteran quarterback in John Mateer transfer from Washington State against a Bryce Underwood, who goes into the stadium as a true freshman, even tougher on him than it was on Arch Manning. And look what Arch Manning happened to him at the Shoe in Columbus, Ohio. So again, the difference in the in the level of of experience of the two quarterbacks. And then the other thing, Brant Venables is taking over the defense. I was with Akron as an analyst when he was there. He loves to dial up explosive, exotic blitzes. He’ll have blitzes for that quarterback that he has not seen in the first game. If Michigan does not run the well enough and have to go to the pass too early, the quarterbacks going to be cut. They’re going to come after that quarterback. That’s why I’ve got I’ve got Oklahoma in this game, mainly because of the veteran quarterback, but also Brant Venables running the defense. We we got two experienced quarterbacks in South Florida and Florida. Don’t we here coach this this might be a little bit closer than people think. Yeah but I’m not going to go there. It’ll start out that way. But the they’re a D.J. Lagway have had Florida on a roll since the second half of last season. He’s explosive. There’s incredible confidence down there. And yeah, I think it stays close for a while. But Boise State against USF last week I mean three fumbles they lost. Gave up a fake punt, missed three fourth downs. Everything went wrong at Boise I don’t think it’s that much of a difference to a team that was six and seven. I mean seven and six last year. So I still have this game in Florida, even with the with the spread. And that may not sound like it should be, but if you go back and look at the two teams, I’m seeing 40 to 17, 40 to 20. I see it about right there, but I still see Florida on the road because after this they come to where they got LSU, Texas and Miami. They better get this win by a comfortable score. He’s our coach. But now we got to check out the schedule for the rest of the weekend here. And it starts with basically where it ends on Monday Night Football. There is intrigue people. The Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. It’s J.J. McCarthy’s debut in the NFL as a starting quarterback, going up against Caleb Williams, who struggled at times last year because they have a defensive coordinator as a head coach now he doesn’t. He has genius Ben Johnson, but we see the Chicago Bears getting one and a half points on their home turf, going up against the Vikings in a total of 43.5. By the way, that’s down from 45.5 over the summer. What the expectations are for you, Joe Ranieri for both of these offenses maybe new look. Yeah. Well, you know, what are we getting from J.J. McCarthy is going to be everyone’s big question, because the market seems to think that you’re going to get a guy that, you know, despite his injury last year, wasn’t able to play. You know, what he was he was in the system is what he was. So he was able to do what a lot of young quarterbacks should be able to do. And that’s not have to worry about playing. But understanding the playbook and understanding exactly what his role is going to be for next year. So I don’t think there’s going to be a lot of lag time here. I think McCarthy is going to come out. I think he’s acclimated to the system here. I think he’s going to be good. I am not, under any circumstances, a big Caleb Williams fan here. Ben Johnson aside, great young, you know, offensive minded coach here. But the market is telling you I mean they’re going into Chicago and they are a favorite. And I think they’re a favorite for a reason. By the way this is one of those bets where it’s week one tough. This is to get a handle. And the oddsmakers are telling you that like yeah throw the one and a half out there and see what happens in this game. This is when we say, okay, I bet the Chicago Bears. I can’t believe that like, the bears aren’t ready for prime time or you bet Minnesota on the road. Like I told you, the bears would be a really good football team. I can’t believe that. You bet the Minnesota Vikings. It feels like one of those. But the touchdown maker market here for Monday night Justin Jefferson plus 120 price DeAndre Swift plus 130 Aaron Jones plus 150. There’s good price points across the board. But also we just talked about that line lo Joe. Like why are we taking a look at two offensive guru teams here and a low 40s number. What am I missing. Well I think the one of the big reasons why Minnesota is the favorite is that defense. That defense goes on the road. And you know what’s going to happen there. That team is going to go after Caleb Williams. And yeah yeah. And you know Flores is going to have him. And guess what happens when you put pressure on Caleb Williams. It’s not good. I do think Chicago’s defense is just as good. I’d be worried about some of these props here Donny. Because how are we getting the 44 points. Like to me this is going to be a defensive battle back and forth. Mr. Jones and me, remember that song? Well, we’re talking about Daniel Jones at this point. Now, we’re not back in the 1990s. We’re in the here and now. The Miami Dolphins and Tua Tagovailoa on the road to take on Daniel Jones, who had that on their bingo card this year. And also we just talked about a game on Monday Night Football Joe listed at one and a half. We’re going to now talk about this game listed at one and a half as a favorite towards the home team. Colts 46.5 to 47.5 as a total in this game. I’m telling you week one there are landmines and it just feels like you’re going to step on one this weekend. And it just might be the Dolphins and the Colts. Yeah, I mean listen it’s indoors. It’s on the turf. Tyreek Hill is playing. And I’m sorry. The weapons of Miami offensively with two are throwing them the ball. They’ve already shown us that they can. They’ll put up a ton of points offensively with the conditions right. Daniel Jones is not going to go toe to toe with Tua. And those receivers with what he’s got there. I think Miami goes on the road and wins this game because well, they’ve got the better quarterback and they’ve got the better receivers with no conditions to worry about. I think Miami rolls. By the way how are you playing Tyreek Hill in this game Joe right. Healthy to start the season as you said on turf. Not a great football team here. His touchdown market is a plus 135. Do you look towards the touchdown explosion. Or how about just his usage rate catches and or over yards. Yeah. And I think Tua and has spent a lot of time this offseason talking about how they are on the same page and everything is Kumbaya and well, well let’s let he’s going to get him the ball a lot. I think in this game. So I like all of those angles. 68.5 for Tyreek Hill. That could be one catch right there. Jaylen Waddle 57.5 Michael Pittman Jr here the wide receiver for the Colts. He’s listed at 46.5. But it’s Daniel Jones. How excited can you be. Let me see what Tua has because we’ve talked about it Joe the Miami Dolphins you lose this football game to Daniel Jones I understand it’s a road game and it’s a close spread. It’s hard to win on the NFL week number one. This could go off the rails quickly. It feels like they need this game Joe the Dolphins to win this one going away. You know US needs a victory. So both teams are going to try to run the ball down each other’s throats there. And to me it’s all about okay who do we trust? I trust the more athletic quarterback that can run, believe it or not, because he can use his legs. Probably won’t have to use his arm all that much in Justin Fields. So I think the Jets have the edge here simply because they’re more dangerous with fields running than with than the Jets have to worry about when Aaron Rodgers running. Yeah Justin Fields rushing prop in this game 42.5 receiving props which you know are going to be low from a Jets side because it’s Justin Fields throwing the football. Garrett Wilson at 54.5. Sounds like a lot of yards. But he is going to be the main target all day long for the Jets. But you’re right about this. We’re not expecting this to be pretty. Somebody has to win. And they’re probably going to win ugly in this game. Let’s get to the Jacksonville Jaguars a lot of expectations this year. On the Jags why Liam Cohen comes to town. You trade up in the draft. You got Travis Hunter. He’ll start at wide receiver. But also it’s time for the Carolina Panthers to start to stand up and say we might be able to be a player in the NFC South. The favorites, though, are the Jaguars at a three and a half point line and a total of 46.5. I do have some good expectations for the Jaguars, but is this one of those games that you start week one and say, well, Carolina’s supposed to be an easy victory? And oh no, look, Carolina’s got a young quarterback finally playing well with Dave Canales. Well it’s interesting right. Because why is the hook still available Donnie. Why is there still three and a half at this particular point? So I think that’s telling because why would you leave that out there? Are we expecting it to go? Are we going to get that last minute push for Panther money to come in? I think this is an interesting game. I also think it’s one where, you know, given the weapons on both sides and given the propensity of both defenses to give up a lot. You know, this feels like a good old could be a good old fashioned shootout here between the two quarterbacks and Xavier Leggett on one side, Brian Thomas on the. This feels like a shootout to me. We might get some points here with these two defenses. That’s who we have here on this. And also if you are looking from a survivor perspective here, the New Orleans Saints and the Arizona Cardinals probably going to be high on that list. And not for back in New Orleans for the Arizona Cardinals. But understand this. Spencer Spencer excuse me. Had a pretty good preseason. And you say like, well, this team is supposed to stink this year. You know, it’s supposed to really stink last year and technically did was New England. You know they had Jacoby Brissett on the road and picked up a victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Could be that this type of environment here. The Cardinals are roughly a touchdown favorite and a total of 42.5 I smell a rat in this game. How about that. Yeah I see blowout in this game. You know if it sometimes when it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it’s a duck. Do not overthink this. This is a awful Saints team. Anybody who watched them in preseason, it’s I don’t care who they throw under center. It doesn’t it’s not going to make a difference. This is a bad team. And I do think I think this is a big year for Coach Gannon. I think Arizona is loaded with a lot of weapons. Returning. The offensive line has been much improved. I think Kyler Murray runs all over him, throws all over him. I think Arizona runs away with this one. By the way, talking about a bad football team. It’s supposed to be this year, right? The New Orleans Saints, you know, we’re talking about being a bad football team this year record wise. At least in New York. Football Giants they’re going to take on the Washington Commanders 1:00 on Sunday NFC East battle this line over the summer Joe. We had sevens in the marketplace that’s gone. We’re down to five and a half and sixes at just about every outlet. And a total of 45.5. Are the Giants sneaky in this game. Because the expectations and the love for Washington after their season last year and their young quarterback and Jayden Daniels, rightfully so, but also the Giants expectations coming in this year, we don’t know. Starts playing well. Russell gets the start. There’s some talent, particularly on the defensive line. Could we see a Giants win or at least a cover this Sunday down in Landover Maryland. Well you can you know count me in as to one of those bettors that was pushing this line down from where it opened. Because let me just tell you this, I am not sure the commanders are any better this year than they were last year. I can promise you the Giants are better this year than they were last year. And yet the commanders won amazingly by three because the Giants didn’t have a kicker. Everybody had gotten hurt and they they lost by three and they lost by five. This defense of the Giants Lawrence Burns, Thibodeaux Abdul Carter all healthy. That’s a problem for Jayden Daniels and this Washington team. I think the Giants are very alive in this game. I’m interested to watch that because I want to see what the Giants have. And again, having a ticket in my pocket for the season on ESPN bet over 3.5 for the Giants. I would like a little upset on opening Day on the road against the Washington Commanders. We’ll see if that happens. Tampa Bay, what are they known for? Well, they won a Super Bowl with Tom Brady. They won a Super Bowl back in the day with Jon Gruden. But now they’re known for winning this division. It seems like every single year you got a good one on opening day Tampa Bay is going to travel to Atlanta. It’s Baker Mayfield versus Michael Penix Jr one and a half point spread. This is a favorite for the road team currently. Right now the Buccaneers 47.5 46.5 depending on where shopping at. As a total we already don’t like how the season is going to start for Atlanta because the offensive line is banged up. Is that enough to win this football game or is Tampa just going to be too much? Joe Sunday well, this is a game that I absolutely love. Quarterback props. I love Baker Mayfield in this spot here. And we’ve seen some crazy shootouts with Atlanta and and Tampa here. But you know Atlanta’s defense giving up what nearly 25 a game last year. And they focused more on getting Michael Penix Jr help in the off season than they did solidifying that defense. We know what Bowles is going to bring. We know what Rashad White is going to bring. I think Tampa scores a whole lot in this game. I’d be looking to center my my prop bets around Baker Mayfield over passing and touchdowns. Are you settling in here on some good quarterback play, which we are expecting for Joe Burrow in the Cincinnati Bengals. They played in the preseason. Congratulations. Now we start the regular season and they take on the Cleveland Browns. Last year should have been an easy victory. Opening weekend there at home against the Patriots. They lost. Now they go on the road as five and a half point favorites here in a total 47.5 to 48.5. Flacco and burrow. Is it just too easy for the Bengals or can we see something come up and rise like, hey, got some good players on the Browns, maybe limited, but they could win this. Maybe home divisional underdogs since 2012. In week one, 18 and four against the number the Browns will keep this game close. I don’t care how many preseason games Joe Burrow played, the Browns will keep this close. Look at that. Keeping it close there. Flacco and the boys getting ready Myles Garrett sacking quarterbacks. We’ll see I want to see what Jamaar Chase has up his sleeve in this game. And if he starts his Offensive Player of the year tour in game number one wouldn’t mind to see it. How about the England Patriots. They’re home this weekend against the Vegas Raiders. That’s Geno versus May 2nd and a half point spread favorite at home here for the Patriots. Are the Patriots ready to be favorites this year and make a run to the playoffs Joe this number was higher. But you see the marker right there Christian McCaffrey is on the left side of that screen. How effective can he be Joe with a calf strain already. Well they’re already in damage control here because you know Thursday yesterday right. He practice open to reporters early. He was on the field to start but didn’t go through the practice. And he’s listed now as limited. And then of course his scheduled media session. Guess what. That was postponed here. So they’re already running interference for him here. And it’s an issue. It’s always been an issue. Unfortunately with him last year he missed eight games. This is a I don’t care how easy the schedule is. The 40 Niners are not the same team without a healthy Christian McCaffrey. Brian Robinson is not Christian McCaffrey. No. Yeah I I’m not running to the window backing anything with this 40 Niners team right now. Nope. Doesn’t look that way at this point. The highest spread of the week in the National Football League for week number one. The game we’re going to talk about next the Tennessee Titans on the road with the rookie quarterback cam Ward going up against Bo Nix, a young quarterback in the NFL that had a very successful rookie campaign. This line opened up at seven in the summer. We now sit at eight and a half across the board. Is this too easy for the Denver Broncos, or is this one that you say to yourself, look, I think Denver wins. I don’t know if they cover the spread or can we be live with a rookie quarterback? In his first career start in elevation? Yeah. No. Denver is going to win and win by a million. I expect nothing short of that here with the Broncos. Defensively they are just absolutely ferocious. I do not see a situation in which we are going to get a ton of offense from Tennessee with a rookie quarterback. I do think, however, especially in altitude, I do think Denver pulls away in the second half. I think Bo Nix continues right where he left off last year with good old the coach there. So to me, Denver lay it and look for a team total under with Tennessee by the way. Also like Sean Payton obviously we know did a wonderful job with Bo Nix. Expectations are high for this season. But understand this too. Denver’s got a really good defense. That’s a rookie quarterback in elevation. Week number one. Are the lights going to be too bright. Now we know cam Ward is a cool operator man. But it’s a different level going into Denver for game number one with expectations. The Broncos having a good season and getting off to a great start here. How about this one Joe 425 on Sunday. There’s a reason why this is the prime time afternoon game. It’s Detroit and it’s green Bay the favorite not Detroit. It’s green Bay at home. Green Bay just got Micah Parsons. We don’t know if Micah Parsons is going to play. And if he does play probably will be on a pitch count. But I got to tell you, I do agree with the line. I think the Packers should be favored. And I think the Packers win Opening Day against the Lions. Yeah, there are a couple of fantastic opportunities now that it is NFL season. Back for teasers here Donnie. Six point teasers. I will take any you want to give me. Detroit getting eight and a half points. I don’t care who they’re playing here. I think this is going to be a fun one. But ultimately, even outside of the teaser, until I see it, green Bay, I think there’s a whole lot of hype around, you know, Parsons here, but I still I’m still a little iffy on green Bay. I would back Detroit certainly in a teaser opportunity as well. You know what’s funny about this? To joke because like we don’t have the the players are there. They’re almost identical to what they were last year. Like the system is going to stay. Say what, the same or somewhat the same, I should say. But when you look at the offensive coordinator, the play calls coming in, do we question those? But this is like again, week one. This is what’s so fantastic. When I look at this and I say to myself, like, I really took the Packers against the Lions. Like, what was I thinking? Like Jahmyr Gibbs ran wild. You know, Montgomery’s punching runs in from the one. The offense can’t be stopped. And there’s Jordan Love throwing interceptions like this guy is just not as good as Jared Goff is. But then there’s the part of me that goes like yeah, it is real. You lose your defensive coordinator and your offensive coordinator. It’s going to take some time to gel out there. And the green Bay Packers are riding that lightning right now from that Micah Parsons trade. These are the ones where you put your money in. You press the lever down and go I’m an idiot at this point, right? Yep. Well, I mean, especially Detroit swept the season series last year. They’ve won six of the last seven against this team and coaching staff. I mean, to me this is just a a whole lot of hype for green Bay and a whole lot of overreaction because of how everything ended last year for Detroit, two new coordinators doesn’t matter. That system has already been in place. So I do think Detroit is the better team, and I think they’ll end up showing it in week one. How about this game? Houston and Los Angeles, two teams looking to vie for the divisions obviously in the AFC, the Houston Texans maybe taking that next step this year if they can stay healthy. And then you take a look at Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. No sexier team as I call in the offseason with aspirations to get back and win a Super Bowl. But Matthew Stafford struggled in the preseason, not with performance, just with injury to his back. He’s going to line up. The Rams say he’s going to be fine. He looks great in practice and away we go. They’re a three point favorite over the Texans with a total of 43.5. That’s a low total. Both of these defenses should be able to put heat on the quarterback. But the question is can Matthew Stafford stand up to that heat once he gets knocked down? Yeah, this feels like Houston is a live dog in this spot here. That is a legit defense that goes and gets after it. New offensive coordinator by the way for Houston and CJ Stroud did not work out all that well for him last year. Started games off extremely slow when Mia in the second half I think I think things turn around for Houston this year and I think they are live on the road inside. Good games. But the reality is I think both these lines are way overinflated, especially when it comes to Maryland here. Who beat up on a on a F a team that turned the ball over not once, not twice, but six times in that game. Maryland is trotting out their a a true freshman quarterback. Not a ton of experience. But when you give the guy all sorts of field position early on. Yeah things things were going to go well there and they did. But I think that score was a little misleading against for you. And now you got a Northern Illinois team that just got by Holy Cross. But this was a Northern Illinois team that Donny that got absolutely robbed of all its players in the transfer portal, all going to big time, you know, top, top schools here. But what they have is a great program there. And the ability to recruit and actually keep kids in the program without hopefully getting them to run to someplace else. Good defense. They’ve got a quarterback with experience. There is no way in the world Maryland should be laying 17 points. And this opened up. Donny was as high as 18 last week. So we’re starting to see the buyback and I agree with it. I think defense wins out and Northern Illinois has got the better one here. So I like them to stay within this number. And I you still say the hard way in the back of their helmets here getting busy. Who was it Jordan Lynch back in the day man you couldn’t stop that guy from action back in the day for me. I’m going to keep it simple. Once again. I used bet365 yesterday on a rushing prop in the game for the Philadelphia Eagles. Over 1.5 rushing touchdowns at a -140 or so price. Today I’m going to go again over 1.5 rushing touchdowns. Well Donny, which team are you going to pick today. It’s going to be the Chargers or the Chiefs. How about both people.
