A North East golf club is set to welcome an international field of players this week.
The Northumberland Golf Club, in High Gosforth Park, has been chosen as one of just ten venues worldwide to host the 2025 DP World Tour Qualifying School.
The tournament, which runs from 9-12 September, will see competitors from across the UK, Europe, the USA, New Zealand and Australia descend on the championship course.

“This is a testament to the quality of our course and the commitment of our team.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase Northumberland Golf Club on an international level and inspire the next generation of elite golfers.”
The club boasts a championship course, performance centre and excellent hospitality facilities.
It has previously hosted major tournaments including The Open Qualifier and the Logan Trophy, strengthening its pedigree to host international events.
Mike Stewart, director of Qualifying School at DP World Tour, added: We are delighted that The Northumberland Golf Club has agreed to host the DP World Tour Qualifying School.
“The club has first class facilities and the course provides an excellent test of golf.
“It will be a great addition to our Qualifying School calendar.”
