Hey guys!
My bag contains a driver , a 3 wood, a 5 hybrid and then 6-SW in irons, and a putter.
I do well with my 3 wood off the tee box and at times on a very nice lie on the fairway (170-205yards) but honestly it’s not a reliable club anywhere other than the tee box.
I LOVE my 5 hybrid and I do well with my irons, however I am having trouble filling a gap in yardage due to my inconsistency with my 3 wood. I hit my 5 hybrid on average at about 150 yards, but I am stuck in situations where I am in a great position to hit the green but my 5 hybrid won’t make it and I don’t want to use my 3 wood. Could I practice my 3 wood? Yes of course. Is my swing something I need to improve on for extra yardage? 100%. But I wasn’t sure if another club would help such as a 3 or 4 hybrid? Maybe a 5 wood?

FOR MORE CONTEXT: I am somewhat newer to the sport, as in I have played 2-3 days a week since March of this year but before that I played maybe 2-3 times a year with friends using their clubs or VERY old hand me downs in the last 5 years. I am a woman if that matters in equipment and yardage info. I apologize if what I’m saying or asking comes off unintelligent as golf lingo is something I’m still learning.

I appreciate the advice!

Definitely get a 5 wood. You’ll hit it just about as far as 3 wood but with much more consistency and higher. Also, nice swing!

If you’re going to get a new club, I would suggest looking at other 3 woods and try them out to see if there’s one more suited for your swing.

Or if you wanted to, get a 5 wood itll just do what your 3 wood does to a lesser degree
