Oh, how good’s that? Oh, that’s so good for the end of that sort of exchange. It really felt like a shootout. It was traumatic, wasn’t it? [Applause] Let’s go. [Applause] [Applause] Oh, what an exchange full of drama. US Open merch all over the city. Oh, that is very very special. Just under three hours on court. Fritz with match point. Taylor Fritz is back in the last 16 at the US Open. That was a serious test and he’s passed it with flying colors. had to work extremely hard to get past the Swiss qualifier, but he marches on and he’ll be back Sunday into the second week. Terrific entertainment inside. Armstrong gets it done in four sets in the end. 7667 6464

  1. Patehetic game play from Fritz, he will get steam rolled by Joker and gift him a FREE quarter Final match SMH

  2. Fritz is not grandslam material. He lacks the aggressiveness to rattle opponent. He defends and defends and defends and sporadically create winning shots. He relies on the errors of his opponent.

  3. This shows once again that Fritz (like Zverev) doesn't deserve his high ranking – apart from Alcaraz and Sinner, who are miles ahead, Fritz (like Zverev) is just boring. Switzerland can be proud of Jérôme (and Leandro Riedi) – he played superbly and didn't make it easy for the supposed (lol) world number 4! 💪🏼🇨🇭 Keep it up, Kym! You can be proud of yourself! ♥️
It will soon be over for Fritz here. 🤷🏼

  4. How boring is Fritz, please? Like Zverev – my goodness. Jérôme is much more exciting!
But yes, Fritz's character/nature too – the guy almost falls asleep.

  5. Why do you not show the controversial ref decision in this match? A point was stolen from Kym..

  6. However, a mediocre player like Fritz at number 4 in the rankings says a lot about the quality of today's players, apart from Sinner and Alcaraz who are in another category and practically play another sport.

  7. テイラーフリッツは全米オープン2025でまだ勝ち残っている数少ないアメリカ人選手です。彼は第4シードに値する。

  8. Jeez guys, hire some intern, maybe a ballkid, who understands tennis and let him or her edit the highlights. These highlights are sooo frustrating, especially if you can't watch the tournament at all.

  9. Like in American movies, they show you which player won a point and so you're supposed to be satisfied and understand that he won the set.

  10. Fritz takes a risk with Kym, an excellent young Swiss who has surprisingly stood out.

If Fritz doesn't wake up against Machac he doesn't pass.

  11. What Alcaraz does better than everyone is that when he decides to change direction of the ball he get so much more lateral quality on the ball.

I'll explain what I want to say more in detail; Put that the ball comes from a right handed opponent bachkand down the line and Alcaraz decides to go cross-court. Most ATP players (Even Sinner) ball, will land cross, but very near of the little white line, but Alcaraz's forehand Takes much more lateral depth.

Besides his explosove game, excellent touch, serve and volley… for me, this small ball quality details are very very important.

  12. The highlights are awful because they're done by IBM Watson Media (AI-generated). No understanding of what's important or thrilling because it's not generated by humans.

  13. Thank you for posting highlights. They would be much better if you would post meaningful points, like break points and the end of tiebreaks. I expect this lack of understand the flow of a match from ESPN highlights, surprised to see it from the US Open Channel.

  14. I'd like to say something, but kid, you got game, your game speaks for itself. "Action walks the talk, we know Bs doesn't". US Open. You reap what you sow, and this kids been at the office putting in the hours. Don't be a hater, be a Congratulater? Welcome to the US Open. School began many moons ago, and the kids just keep raising their averages.

  15. I like Taylor Fitz but not sold on his game. He’s a grinder like Medvedev but there is no huge weapon in his game and the depth on his ground strokes leaves a lot to be desired. He seems like a hang around type, who can go deep but can’t topple the big two.
