PRO Tour – Silverado – on SGT | Round 1 of 2 | TBooms & Swing Yard
All right. What’s up, guys? All right. We’re going to play the pro round on SGT Matter Golf Tour. Just getting set up quick. All right. get to hit the Qi35 LST. Sorry, just LS on this model. I’ll just watch another video. 35. I hit a nine degree. I tend to swing up the ball a little bit. So, I don’t need more than that. See how she does. I’m also testing the new Velcor well Ventus from Fujicara the Velor Plus shaft. This is a 7X. All right. I haven’t hit many warm-up shots here. So, we’ll see how this goes. But that’s just kind of the way. Let’s look at the settings real fast. All right. 12 stimp, normal fairways, normal greens, no elevation. Sounds good. Pretty straightforward. see what we can do. It’s pretty good start. That ball speed is pathetic, but first swing of the day. All right, it’s just a driver. And now see, we’re going to hit a nine iron in here. See what we’re looking at. Okay, pins tucked in the back. So, I don’t need more than the yardage there. A little draw in, little wind. All right. 140 42 would be plenty. 146. Sit. Sit. Oh, it’s a good line. But sit. Sit. Wow. It did sit. That is how you want to start hole one. Hitting the patch on my screen and taking it right off. All right. 6.6 12 stamp. Saw a little birdie on hole one. All right. That’s tough. I don’t understand why the bunkers are black. Um, all right. Let’s look at this leaderboard. Again, it’s find this on Monday morning or Monday afternoon here. So, um, not a lot of people have played yet. All right. Just like a nice smooth five iron here. Get something on the green. Oh, that was hit perfectly again. It’s two really good iron shots. Man, I’d be a good golfer if I could hit it like that all the time. I can’t, but that is how we like to start. All right, we need five or six. Beautiful start. All right, back to the Qi35. We have a little partnership with Second Swing that we just got. Uh, so I get to test a bunch of clubs. Second Swing is awesome. Awesome place. All right, another pretty straightforward part four. Little OB left. So, just make sure you keep it. Don’t open it. Oh, snap that a little bit. Should be fine, though. All right. 128 up four. 132. We are in the rough. Let’s see. The carry is 120 but up four. So like 125 128 out of the rough maybe. So yeah, this is 130 would be good. Oh boy. Didn’t swing hard enough. Get up. Not very good. I just take a little bit off that club and I end up taking up way too much off. All right, so we’re just in the rough here. I don’t Why does the sand look black? see that on the screen too, right? Yeah. I don’t know. Maybe I need to reset my system. 14. That did not release like I thought it might. But pretty straight putt here. We can fix our mess right there. It might inch over just a little bit. Just make sure you hit this putt straight. So, we’re looking at like 17. There we go. Good fix. Good fix. All right. 392. Same type of thing. Pretty straightforward. So far kind of a boring course, but it’s all right. Play, man. Couple of poorly struck drives. All right, this is Oh, 106 up four. 110 a little bit into the win. Pinned in the way back. Wow, that is tucked really far back there. Okay, one 108 would be plenty. There’s 107. I pulled it a little bit. Stand the green still. That’s fairway. So I can putt over that. That’s a pretty mean. So switch to putter. So it’s 1.6 left if you look at the bottom right corner. And then let’s see. Sorry, one sec here. 1.6 left. So, it’s going to come off the face to the left. Then it goes pretty. This is a tough putt to make here, but give it a try. All right. So, 4 8 12US one. It’s only 11. Kind of downhill a little bit. So, it’s a pretty good effort. Tough putt to make. All right. Or five. I love it. There we go. Maybe I can hit this driver on the face this time. That would be nice. Let’s just give a quick overview. All right, I think I can get it up and over that. That’s a pretty tight fairway. Let’s make sure I get this up in the air over those trees. Oh man, so poorly hit. It’s fun to try new clubs, but not when you’re hitting them like me. All right, that doesn’t hurt us that much. I wish I was a little closer, but So, this is kind of between clubs again, but I’d rather be a little bit short here. So, I’m going to hit a hybrid. It’s a little bit risky because you have to go over the OB. So, I hope I don’t clip a tree. Oh, clip the tree. That’s a shame that was hit well. All right. Well, par five just got a little harder. So, hit a eight a sixiron here. It’s a shame that happened. I shouldn’t aim that close to the OB. If you miss this a little right, that’s okay. That’s a really good line if it goes go. All right. Really happy with that chance at birdie still even though I hit a tree with my second shot. Okay. So, 20 up to going uphill. So, I’ll break a little bit less. That feels like too much. That might be right right there. All right. 22. Stay up. I pulled out a little bit. I think I did. All right. Well, missed an opportunity there, but that’s golf. We also saved making a mess of it. All right, for goodness sakes, let me hit a drive on the screws here. A little better. Swinging like a nin though. Go ball. Shoot. Up. Up nine degrees and out of the fairway bunker. It’s going to take a little bit off. 5.6 to the right. Just make sure this isn’t too high. That’s only up two feet. Okay. So, we’re okay there. 10. So I’m going to play this about 50 155 145. That’s got to go. Bounce hard. Pretty happy with that though. I think my 150 would have been about the right right distance. Man, just got the edge of this hill. That would have been a pretty straight. All right, so 20 down one in 19. Pretty fast the beginning. That’s about right. Good chance here. I hit that good butt there. Misread it a little bit. Not enough. All right, that’s a four iron for me. This is another uh Let’s find the green. See what we can do. Drottled in there a little bit. All right, where we at? Sitting in fourth. A lot of holes left. Nice smooth swing. Draw a little bit. Keep going. That should be the green I’m looking for, though. Kick right. I mean, from 220 yards. I’ll take that. Okay, other one. So, it’s 26 feet down, four 22. Go a little bit more than that even. Okay. 22. Can I hit a good putt? Come on. Give me one. That’s great. Let’s go. Okay. Uh, this is where sim golf I hit driver. Real golf. I would maybe just take an iron off the tea here, but simul Oh, interesting. Would have thought that would have been a little bit better. I don’t that there’s anything wrong with that. I thought I was going to be more uh closer to the fairway there, but no harm, no foul. That was a good drive though. Very straight on the punch monitor. All right. 49 46 would be a perfect carry in my opinion. 47. I love it. What? How did that go so short? So 94 speed. It wasn’t uphill that much. Only a 50 yard shot and they took off eight yards. I couldn’t have hit that more crisp. That’s a shame. I don’t even know. 40 50. Now I have a 60 foot putt basically. Man, that’s a shame. I must have miscalculated that or something. Is that out of the deep rough? Oh, well, next hole. All right. Very reachable. Par five starts with a good drive. Try and keep it out of the trees. And it’s still good. Pretty good there. Still not catching it on the screws, but not going to be unhappy with that. All right, another four iron in. I’m just going to miss a little left because pin’s tucked right. So, try and carry it that 209 to get it over the front. That’s kind of the goal here. Oh, left it out there. Shoot. All right, let’s put the short game to work. Let me see here. F3. Okay, so it funnels to the hole. I mean, it’s just got to be it’s all distance here. Too fancy. Should run down cuz it does funnel to the hole. Pretty happy with that. All right. Only looking at a sixfooter here. Nice birdie. All right, it’s a good time to mention I’m running swingyard.com now. It’s a website my brother and I bought. You guys have any questions on sim or golf or instructional videos, let us know. It’s my full-time job now as of recently. So, appreciate any feedback. All right, back to it. Straight 400 yard par4. Hang on just a little bit. Might have some tree trouble there. Definitely going to have some tree trouble. But let’s see what we got here. Does it look like I can kind of hit it under the one? So 125. I think I can still kind of just This is a How far away is that tree? Let’s look at it that way. 25. I think I’ll keep it under there. Just a regular swing. Nope, it hit it. Man, that would have been so good. Shoot. 122. That would have been just perfect. But I got to also be thankful that it didn’t bounce backwards on me. Okay, 24. Just enough to make me work for it. But I’m pretty happy with that chip. Oh, yeah. Working for it, I do. Okay. No gimme here. Is that enough? I think so. There we go. Oh, it’s going to be slippery, though. All right. 168. 168. Pin’s kind of up front, so a little bit little bit long here. Don’t flirt with the water too much. Wind’s in our face. So, I might go 170 73. That was actually perfectly struck. Took a little bit off my seven iron there. It’s going to result well. Didn’t quite I didn’t want 173. 170 would have been fine, but that worked out even better. All right, now 16. Basically 17 down three is 14. It’s moving pretty slow, but we are going downhill. Last one goes a little bit faster. Thinking right there. So 14. 134 going down in it. Smoked it. Darn it. That’s all right. Here we go. Good chance there. Part three is going to be hard to birdie. Okay, don’t miss right here. Looks like that’s uh pretty short hole. Give ourselves a chance for a birdie. That was kind of my scared swing. We’ll take it. Still is a, you know, half wedge in. So that’s all we need. Just didn’t want to overcook that, which is one of my misses. All right, so 84 1.4, right? Like to hit this about 86 because I know it’ll have some spin on it. 88. Well, E4 on the nuts. Go ball. A lot of spin. It’s going to come way back. It’s so disappointing. It’s a good shot. And then it’s going to come all the way off the front. That’s cool. It’s literally in the circle. Just hit it a little further. Okay. A little bit more. Okay. So, 34 kind of 44 46 is kind of what I’m thinking. Pretty good. But like too much break but missing opportunities. All right. I use the Uniaker ISO launch monitor overhead unit mounted up there. You have any other questions on the SIM setup, let me know. All right, start swinging a little harder at driver here. There we go. All right. A little better numbers there. 196 in. Sorry. 96 in. Let me see what the green looks like. Okay. Kind of funnels back towards me. 96. But we are Excuse me. In the rough, but downwind. So 98. Oh, it’s a misread. That sucks. 2300 spin with a wedge. Why was that a misread? We’ll put that ball away. 2300 spin with the wedge. It’s a shame. I don’t know if that was the ball’s fault or my club’s fault or just the launch launch monitor miss. Doesn’t happen that often. Um, let’s try. So on this little chip here, my preference personally is to use like a pitching wedge and almost hit it off the toe a little bit. This is what I do in real life. All right, so we’re looking at 15 45 like 39. Almost just like putting it here, but I’m lofting it just enough to get it over. Just like that. Come on. Give me one. Oh, that was so close. That’s how I’d play that in real life though too. shouldn’t say real life out on the real course as opposed to a lot of a lot of folks use like a sand wedge or a lob wedge or something there which it just increases your risk to chunk it or blade it or you know if the grass is tough. Oh, hang on just a little bit. Thought that was water for a second. All right. 113 downhill high here. It’s a gap wedge. Love to hit this like one 118. It’s going to come out a little low. Terrible golf swing. Lunged at it. I got wedges in my hand, man. It cannot be good sometimes. I still actually have a good chance to make this if I can hit a straight putt, but so disappointing. All right, so 33 44. Oh my goodness. That’s a good line, but that’s tough to make. Okay, so this would normally be about a seven iron, but pins up front. Everything slopes off to the front. So, we’re looking I’m thinking like 185, 190, and we’re going left. If I get the back of the green, that’d be wonderful. Yep. 185 right on the left side of the hole. Perfect. Just can’t be that much more aggressive, you know, from that distance. So, I’m okay with the long putt here. It’s not going to be a ton of birdies on this hole. So, all right, let’s try. It’s going to go really hard off the face. Like that. So, 3121. That’s still not enough, though. I should go a bit more. There we go. I got to be careful not to hit this too hard or this is going to go all the way off the front. So, I’m going to only think 20 here. I like it. Sit. Look at that go. Glad I didn’t try to be more aggressive with that so fast. 12 stint does that, too. All right. Come on. Now I got to start scoring a little bit. Okay. 533 par five. This takes a drive. Oh, shoot. Might be okay. All right. 251 uphill lie. It’s going to come out left. All right. So, I’m planning on playing a little draw anyway. Okay. So, I’m actually going to aim just a hair right. This is my hybrid, which is like a two 240 carry, but I need I know it’s coming out left. I need to go left to those trees. If I hit those, that’ll ruin me. Okay, let’s make sure I get a little draw on it, too. That’s pretty good. really good unfortunate bounce there, but pretty happy with that. All right, 22 up 7.2 two carry this like 18 16 but I hit it a little bit lower. Kind of jerked at that a little bit. Not super happy with that. Thankful this putt is pretty easy. Play a little out farther. So looking at 97. All right, take care of business. That hybrid was a was the shot that made that hole there. All right, ball collection. Quick, we’re starting to build out the golf sim space. If you guys have any questions on it, check out swinger.com. We just published an article about it. 310, huh? That is two big trees right there. We’ll go just right of it. Try and get one up near the green here. It’s pretty darn good. Fly ball. Fly ball. Pine straw. All right. Okay. This is a Just got to play this a little bit right. Don’t want to mess with that bunker. And it should funnel down to the right, too. So, I think pine straw doesn’t have much effect. So, kind of just playing this 37 30 32 is fine. Come on down. That was the opposite of my last chip. gave it a little bit more speed, but then end up hitting it higher. It’s 35 launch angle. 35.8. Is that enough on this? That should be about enough, right? All right. 11 feet flat. Nice birdie. Okay. All right, let’s finish with a birdie here. Or better or better. How about better? I got to keep it driving the fairway first. Hang on ball. See, I keep doing that. Get through those trees. It’s just rough. Okay. Look at the game. Just points me back to the fairway. Don’t try it. Let me see what we got here. See, I’ll have to play. So, 2.8, right? So, it’s going to come off my face. There’s no trouble up there. So, I’d love to just get it up there in So, again, it’s coming off my face to the right. And then I’m going to I’ll hook it a little bit. This is a 3-wood 267. So we can give it full gas here. Wasn’t smoked, but that is great result. Little off the toe, but that probably helps with the draw. Lost a little yardage, but I don’t think that would have gotten me much anyways. All right, semi- rough 22. make my day if we could make this chip in. That would be sweet. Come on down. Come on down. Always want to leave me with a little work. I’m happy with that chip, though. Struck it clean. Six-footer. Let’s just do one more little tap. You know it’s going to move. You might as well get it to the left side of the cup. There we go. Nice finish. All right. Pretty smooth round. I missed a couple couple opportunities, but didn’t really make any big mistakes. Let’s look at the stats real quick. This was where my problem was. You guys can’t see here. My problem was the fairways. If you can see my little tiny mouse. 414. Uh I mean there’s a couple that I’m okay with missing on purpose, but I should have been closer to probably eight and then being okay with missing some of those other ones again on like a shorter course. 14 of 18 green isn’t too bad, but ball speed’s weak. I got to get that back up. Anyways, yeah, seven birds. Pretty clean. Pretty clean card. All right, guys. Like and subscribe uh to Swingard. Appreciate the support.
