Five England players that will not go to the World Cup. Harry Maguire. Now Harry Magguire for me so reliable for England in the last few years, but there are just players ahead of him now. I think we’ve always loved his height and his power, his aggression. We’ve now got that with players like Bram and Dan Burn. I personally just think Harry Maguire needs to have a phenomenal season to have any chance of getting into this England squad for me anyway. So yeah, Harry Maguire not going to go to the World Cup. Another one, it’s going to be Rhys James of Chelsea. I really like Rhys James. I genuinely do. The problem that I have is that how can I justify taking a player who might not be able to play a full 90 and maybe more if we had to go to extra time in a position that we’re blessed with so many great players. Reys James’ injury record is the sole reason why I wouldn’t take him in terms of ability. He’s right up there with Trent, Ben White, etc. I just can’t justify it. So therefore, I would not take Rhys James. Tino Livermento, is he a right back? Is he a left back? England at left back. Of course, we’re really struggling to get good players to get into the left back position. We’ve got Lewis Skelly. We’ve got Lewis Hall. It’s just not amazing. I look at Livto as a player that can do a job. I personally just think that I prefer left backs with a left foot. Tino Livernto, we just mentioned, he’s in that right back position where we have so much quality. Maybe not this World Cup. Maybe it could be the next one. But I just think he’s got to do a lot to squeeze himself into this squad. Curtis Jones. Now, Liverpool fans will probably say, “Why? He’s a great player. Everyone else outside of Liverpool just seems to think he’s all right. I don’t mind him. I think he’s a good squad player to have, but if the difference is taking him or another attacker, I’ll always go with another attacker. I think there’s better players that are coming into that center midfield position, Adam Walton, Elliot Anderson, just to name a couple. So Curtis Jones is going to miss out, but he is one of those players that’s on the line. So you never know, but I just personally wouldn’t take him. And lastly, Marcus Rashford, a player with so much ability, so much to like. Will he get it going at Barcelona? Maybe. Do I think we now have better options than him? Yes. The problem is is when Marcus Rashford is at his best, he’s one of the best players in the world. I think that’s sort of pretty much known to everyone now. The problem is his day doesn’t come very often. And that’s me as a Villa fan. watching him a lot last season, it just never quite clicked consistently for him. So, I think there’ll be better players that get in, Anthony Gordon and EZ to name two. So, Rashford for me, again, similar to Curtis Jones just missing out, but he’ll have to have a great season to have any chance of getting in. And of course, there are a lot more players that could have got into this squad that haven’t. I can’t go through them all, but they are to me the most notable five out of
