Golfers Don’t Want to Collab With Me… Here’s Why

Yo, this golf content creation space, at least on YouTube, I guess on every social media outlet, is tough, dog. I’m like, bro, why don’t anybody want to collab? I sat here and thought a few reasons why that might be. Is it because I’m black? No, I’m just playing. I don’t think it would. I think guys like Bryce Brother, Roger Still, I’ve kind of broken those barriers, so it’s fine. Then I started thinking to myself, is it because I don’t have 100,000 followers and all these subs? And hey, maybe you guys can help change that. Like, subscribe, or is it because there’s a fear of association because of my boastfulness for the gospel. If that’s the case, I will not stop doing that. Again, I care too much about the destination of my neighbor’s soul to not let them know about Jesus, bro. So, the only last thing I can think about is maybe because again, I’m not that good at golf. I don’t think I’m terrible by any means, but it doesn’t meet the standard of collaborations with other people. Because we look at these golf collabs, man, a lot of people say they love Jesus. I’m like, man, come on my channel. Let’s compete and let you have an outlet where you can speak about that, but no one ever wants to. So, today I’m back here about to try and break 80 again. I’ll be playing tonight, not tonight, but today later on at the Builtmore Estates course. And I’m playing from the tips, man. I ain’t trying to do no from the whites and then I do break it and I don’t get nobody respect. I’m playing from the tips, dog. So, I asked you, do you think I can break 80 today? Let’s find out. [Music] [Music] All right, that was the right number. 175 out. Pin high to the left. I did strike that ball pretty nice, dog. Let’s try and finish out with a par kind of on the left side of the fringe. Think I’m going to chip this instead of putting it. I’m not soft. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I thought I took the smart play there. I went for hybrid, pulled it a lot of bit, but about maybe call it 70 from the hole. I’m going have a weird lie here, but I’ve been liking my wedges lately. Super weird lie. Couldn’t pull it off. Hoping I’m chipping in one putt. Stay even here. Got a goal to make, man. That is amazing scramble golf to save par even through two. I know y’all not used to this cuz I’m not either. But stay along. Like, subscribe for the kid. Also, go check out Golf and Gospel podcast. Me and my dog Nate Wong, college golfer. My dog. All right, as y’all can see right now, I’m getting a little too pulley. I’m not coming over the top as much as I used to, but I am indeed doing something on my down swing that’s forced me to pull. Could be alignment. I’m really bad at alignment, but probably about 30 yards out. Hopefully I can get out of his bunker. One putt, safe par. For any new golfers out there or you’re new into golf, I guess it’s the same statement. You can’t desel out of the bunker. Granted, that was the first real bunker I’ve played in Arizona cuz every other one’s been like rocks. Unless I go out of town to do golf and gospel, then those bunkers are solid. But no excuse I I [Music] cry. [Music] Boo! [Music] Okay, with that shot I was aimed a little right. I was hoping to play a draw because I’ve been pulling. Hit that smooth to where I was aiming. Great strike. That part’s confident, but pin high to the right. Got 60°. I might have tree trouble. We’ll see. I love you. [Music] [Music] [Music] Just letting y’all know that was a 330 yard drive. I don’t lie on this channel. This matter of fact. All right. And I’m playing from the tips, dog. Now I’m backed up because I gotta place my camera. But that was 3:30. The ball’s about 10 yards ahead of me. But that means absolutely nothing if I don’t get par here or a birdie. I overthought the distance. Well struck. Should have clubed up. That’s just bad golf IQ. So again guys, don’t be like me. Oh, dang. Bro, long hours are kryptonite, bro. I’m having trust trust issues with my alignment. All right, guys. I’m a little nervous about this hole. Got water to the right. And if you’ve been watching up to this point, like and subscribe, but also I’ve been playing a what? Say it with me. A cut. Not a really I can’t hit draws. I mean, I can I can pull it, but I’m a little nervous because I’ve been hitting an an accurate cut. Like, I think I’ve missed two fairways today. So, this is going to really take some thinking on alignment and setup to hit this ball straight. I’m not going to try to force a draw and pull hook it left. But, we don’t want any penalties. I haven’t really had any today, which is great. Got the same ball. It’s Callaway three. Everything I just told you guys, I did the complete opposite. Tried to swing fast, try to hit a draw, played a nice cut, and I might be in the water to me. In football terminology, that’s like me knowing the coverage and I know I’m supposed to run a bender on all go in the scene and it’s cover two and I don’t bend it. That is dumb. Hey dog, I hope you guys have accepted God’s grace and his mercy because he showed it to me on this hole. However, tree trouble, like a little small tree, so might be punching out, which is kind of going to be it’s not really a penalty, I guess, technically, but y’all see what I’m working with right here. All right, so as y’all see, I got this tree right here. The hole’s over there. I can either bump and run over here, or I can aim a little left, try to play a cut. It might nip the tree. Then that can be on the green. Maybe. Hey dog. Hey dog. Ah, hey. [Music] [Music] What? D [Music] What did I do? [Music] [Music] What did [Music] you [Music] I lost sequency there. I can I felt that it did not feel clean at all. That was not a good bogey. Everything on that hole went bad. Sequency on the T- box. Hit the first chip a little heavy. Second chip was amazing. But bogey is not the answer, dog. It really isn’t. The rough dog. The rough go. Dang. Bad decision again. I tried to hit a draw, snap hooked it cuz this was this was a draw hole. It was totally going left and snap hooked it. I got tree in play and I don’t think I’m gonna make the same ex exact exciting shot I had the last one. So, I gotta play smart here. A dog of a approach shot here to hopefully get it close and one putt to save part. Two me bogey so far on the back nine. I I got to start dialing in like I did at Collins Hill back in Georgia. So, I need an amazing shot here. Oh my gosh, I pulled it. We got a par five here. Handicap is 10. So in the middle of the pack. I need a birdie. I have to make up for that double. I have to make up for that double. R5. I have to be aggressive here. I don’t know if I’m going to reach the green and try again eagle, but I have to be aggressive with the situation I’m in. My rangefinder ran out of batteries. So, I know the shot is 102, but I can’t assess the area cuz I can’t see. And I’m losing daylight, so I can’t drive and come back. For what it is, man, it’s a good par from what the heck I did on that second shot. I’m pulling all my putts. Dang. I am. Oh, [Music] heat. [Music] I am. Feel like senior night at Yukon for me. We were two and nine. It was cold and rainy. No one was there except close friends, family, and girlfriends. Now I’m just hoping I make it to the league after this. That’s how I feel. Y’all go look up their ear, too. Was 2014. We were playing SMU. It was bad. It was bad. [Music] [Music] Oh. All right, I didn’t accomplish the goal 84, which is not bad, dog, but I got to get it out, man. If I if if I’m trying to lock in with these other creators, got to get my game better, man. Oh, man. Just the putter wasn’t working like it typically does for me. I feel like I’m a really good putter. I just couldn’t find it today, man. Typically, a lot of those two putts for bogeies, I can save par. I just I just couldn’t find the green. That could be because me and Nate put out that video about not understanding the grain as well. Um, I could be content with you for it, man. But at the end of the day, dog, I really want you guys as the audience to really accept what it says in Titus 2:1. It says, “For the grace of God appeared for everybody, bringing salvation to all men.” So, I really want you guys to trust in Jesus. I really want you to surrender your life to him. And not for me, but I just literally, as my pastor said, I just care about the destination of your uh of your soul. So, got some work to do. See you guys on next episode of Golf and Gospel. God dang it, dog. Peace.

  1. That’s awesome what you do belove Praise God! Having a beautiful day playing golf and giving Jesus glory! That’s awesome. I’m getting into golf myself got a lot to learn lol though. Fighting for par

  2. When we pull our shots, we need to make sure our back is facing the target on our back swing and our buckle is facing the target when we complete our swing. Keep up the hard work! I just subbed.

  3. You got a smooth, putting stroke, but work on that straight back straight through. I see you stroking from the outside in and pulling your putts. Keep up the hard work.!

  4. 17:05 take that club back a little further you’ll be driving the ball even farther. I know., when we take it back farther, it falls apart, but I think you have the athleticism to handle that.

  5. Hello Brother, I would love to play a round of golf with you and talk about Christ and thew Gospel. I live in PGA National so we are somewhat close. You can reach me here and then we can exchange info. I shoot in the 80's best round is an 82 and also trying to break 80.

  6. This is the first time I've seen this channel must've been for a reason. I did like and subscribe.

  7. Get you a 7 wood. Thank me later. I got rid of my 4 iron for a 7 wood. Its been the best thing i could have ever done.

  8. Brother, you’re one of the most genuine & selfless dudes I’ve met in this space. One thing I’ve found out really quickly is that no one is really for you. And if you don’t benefit them then they won’t collab. Keep doing your thing & spreading the GOOD word my man!

  9. I’d say the thing about YouTube golf is you are supposed to describe the shot before u shoot. I’m sure that would help if u have a camera man with u. I officially subscribed because of your faith statement. I love golf and Jesus! 🙏🏾🏌️‍♂️

  10. I am a golf master, I was put into a holy man training, given a greater mind, talent, God told me to say 'God Bless this putt / shot

  11. Just found your channel while trying to look for something else. The algorithm must be hunting me down. Haha. I like the format and content. Keep doing what you're doing. If you're ever in the panhandle of Florida near the Panama City area, I'd love to play and discuss the Lord with you. My channel is way smaller than yours, so I can't help you grow, but I love to complete and try to improve. I'm on the same quest of trying to break 80. Came close a few times, just never quite got it. Just takes a day where everything is working together, and for guys at our current level, that's a hard one. Just subscribed, though, and wish you the best of luck.

  12. Bro I'm not a content creator but I'll play with you and share my testimony. If you're in the hunt to break 80 you'll definitely beat me but it'll be a fun time out.

  13. Look… I'm a disbeliever and the evangelizing is the reason. Who of the biggest in the space are even religious or say what they may personally believe?
Exactly. That's not the focus of their content but it's yours. For what it's worth, perhaps collab with your fellow Christian creators who also golf. I wish you well in your journey.

  14. If there is one thing I love about your channel, it is your willingness to not be ashamed of the Gospel. Need more people in the world who are Bold! Ironically, I feel the same way about collaborating with other creators, just because of my looks mixed with my golf. Haven't been back to AZ in a year, but we need to collab soon though bro!
