My driver was completely unusable a few weeks back. Massive slices, poor contact. The impact was just random.
Made some tweaks to ball setup, bringing it further back in my stance and standing a bit further away from the ball. We also prioritized tempo as I was really forcing the swing and getting stuck in certain positions. Then he told me not to full swing until I was hitting square and down the line with high consistency to about 200 yards.
Today was my first day swinging it at 85%-90% during practice as I have a two round tournament this weekend where I would like to be using it. Now I’m playing it as a draw (sometimes hooking…) and still experimenting with different movements to promote a weak draw.
One of the nice things from this exercise was that it helped my entire bag. I was already drawing all my clubs down to the 7 iron. But now I’m drawing across the bag. I think the movements have made it even more effortless and have added a bit more yardage to all my clubs.

I’ve heard that dude talk about the importance of the left hand so many times. Especially when he uses an iron, he often practices left-hand only to make sure he’s swinging correctly.
