I played the longest course in Vietnam (Ba Na Hills)
We are heading to Asia on a golf trip with Golf Asian. Three countries, eight different golf courses, and I can’t wait to bring you along, not only to see some of the best golf courses, but the most insane experiences. Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, here we come. Bana Hills Golf Club is next level. It was designed by former world number one Luke Donald and has won multiple awards like Vietnam’s best golf course and Asia’s best golf course. 18 holes all surrounded by dramatic elevation changes, jungle backdrops, and rolling hills. It’s a championship level course, but it’s also peaceful, beautiful, and all you can hear is the birds chirping. No crowds, no noise, and I felt like I was playing in a golf movie scene. Every tea box had a new view. Let’s go make some birdies. We are about to attempt the impossible. I’m here at Bana Hills Golf Club in Vietnam here with my caddy. We’re playing the next six holes one through six from the tips. The goal is to shoot lower than plus three. I’m giving myself three strokes because it is extremely long. If I don’t, when we get back to the hotel, I have to jump in the pool of my clothes. Okay? And I really don’t feel like doing that. Starting from the tips, one of the longest golf courses in Vietnam here at Bana Hills. Let’s do it. [Music] Carrie hit a little with a baby draw. Carrie. Oh, and we carried. Oh, we’re going to need that. Oh my gosh, that made me so nervous because if we were in that front bunker, we’re screwed. Carry the bunker on our way. Anyways, being out here, I actually played the back nine first, so I’m pretty warmed up, which is a good thing, especially playing from the tips. But so far, this course has been insane. Like so pure. I think honestly one of the reasons it’s so pure is the caddies because every time you hit a shot and maybe you take a little more dirt than you want to, they’re out here picking up all the remains of like the grass on the course. So it always looks like such great conditions, especially in the fairways. Also, the greens are rolling incredibly. So I’m super stoked about that. So, we are actually now in the south of Vietnam in uh we flew into Daen, but we’re a little south in Hoan. Hoan. And then we went an hour from Hoyan to the golf course that we’re at now. And as you guys saw earlier today, we were all the way at the top of the mountain in the middle of the clouds at a freaking theme park at the top of this mountain. It was insane. Uh, I honestly wish we had a little more time to like go onto the uh like roller coasters, but it’s probably a good thing we didn’t because we had to come out here and play some good golf. You can also probably see that I am sparkling, not sweating. It is very humid here and we have been so blessed to have cloud coverage on every golf course we’ve played so far. Lots of water, lots of hydration. Here we go. Okay, we are 120 yards out. That means we literally bombed that. There is a hill right here. 330 yards on this first hole. We are so happy right now. 120 yards in. We’re going to hit a soft wedge. I don’t want to hit the 50 and be short here. Soft wedge it is. Gabs, we just need your soft hands to come in right now. Oh, be good. Oh, be good. Go in. Go. All right. Front of the green. I hit that really good even though I literally heard baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo. Baby shark doo doo in the middle of my back swim but we still striped it. Let’s go. I think they’re having some kind of event out here because I’m not lying when I heard the baby shark song and now that’s going to be stuck in my head for the next six holes. I swear our goal honestly if we can make a birdie early on we’re going to be solid. Like super solid. But little do you know, we have two par fives in these six holes and they’re long. I cannot afford any mess ups. Good misses only. I seriously every time I get out of the golf cart, I immediately walk to like turn around to grab my club out of my bag because I am so used to not playing with caddies. So, it is such a luxury to be to have a caddy at every golf course we’re playing at. VIP service. All thanks to Golf Asian in Phoenix. And she even lines up my putts uphill, right to left, as my caddy just told me when we pulled it. Come on, Gabs. I think that’s a gimme, but I’ll knock it in for you. Starting off strong with a par on the first hole. Birdie would have been nice. We didn’t make the putt. All right, five more to go. Pars and birdies only. Even though I gave myself three shots, which I think is very lenient, we just can’t have any mess ups. [Music] We have 257 yards. Threewood. We flew into Hanoi City first from Miami, which the flight was great. It was actually really easy. We slept a lot, a lot of it, honestly. And then um going to Hanoi City, it was so awesome. And we did the Jeep tour, which if you saw my last couple videos, then you would have saw the Jeep tour we did. It was such a great way to see the city and the culture. After the Jeep tour, we played our first course at Tang Lang, which amazing course. Then at Silk Path, amazing freaking golf course, especially clubhouse. It was the best clubhouse I’ve ever seen. And you guys didn’t even see the locker room. It had a cold plunge and a hot tub in their locker room. It was literally like, if you know Lifetime Gym, 10 times better than a Lifetime Gym because it was on an actual golf course and the cold punch and hot tub were like 5x the size from Lifetime. It was unbelievable. Now we’re on this incredible par three. Again, we’re playing from the tip. So, it is 257 yards. I’m going to hit a 3-wood and pray for the best. Oh, with the perfect draw. Be good. Keep drawing. Hit the hill. Go. Go. Oh boy. That was a soft three-wood. So, I can hit the ball softly. Okay. I should have went after it because we ended up actually on the front fringe of the green. Could have gave it a little more. That’s okay. Our only goal now is get the ball in the hole. Oh, by the way, if you’re wondering on the fit check, we are wearing Smith and Quinn today. Skirt Smith and Quinn top. Smith and Quinn. It’s not a dress actually. It’s a shirt and skirt. And it is so cute, so athletic. Love the stretchy material. We got the melon hat, obviously. Thanks, and huge shout out to the Melon fam for being out here with us. And of course, we got the Puma shoes. Always. Oh, have to mention also we got Wingman premium golf glove from the Grint Golf. If you’re ever wondering what GPS you need to use when you’re on the golf course, download the Grint. It is seriously the best. Ooh, that was actually a really good shot. I’m going to take it. We’re going to putt that, too. We are not taking the chance of chipping that and potentially skulling it or chunking that. We’re We’re putting that off the fringe. So, you’re probably wondering why my caddy is dressed head to toe. Why she’s even wearing a mask? And no, it’s not because of COVID. Okay, we are way past those days. They actually do not like the sun. And a part of their culture is if they have wrinkles, it shows them being as lowerass. So, they are super super protective of the sun. They’re basically scared of the sun. They cover up head to toe. Not sure how they do it in this heat. But at the end of the day, when they do do this, I mean, their skin is beautiful. Like flawless. Like you don’t see single freckle. You can see all my freckles from being in the sun all the time. Not a single flaw in their skin from being protected by the sun all the time. Please show me where to hit this. This is slinging right to left. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Okay, almost pin high. We left a lot of meat on that bone. Question for you. Would you rather play golf in hot weather or cold weather? Comment below. Because for me, I would always 100% choose hot weather over cold. Right to left, she lined me up. Let’s pray I hit this straight. And we just left it short, man. Okay. Well, here we are on hole two now. One over par. Three-wood off of freaking par three. That’s not normally what I do. So, meaning I don’t have much practice with a 3-wood off the tea, even though I hit it pretty good. Thank you. So, they have these uh drinks here. I don’t know what the first word is, but it’s literally for when you sweat. It’s basically electrolytes. Holy moly. Look at this whole driver. It is another 455 yard par4. [Music] I seriously feel like we’re almost in Jurassic Park. Especially looking at those mountains over there. This hole looks extremely long. Time to grip it and rip it like we did on the first hole. Be good. That’s it. Oh no. Okay. Okay. Okay. Holy moly. We’re right on the edge of the bunker. That scared me. Okay. We did it. We did it. Oh, I was like, again, if we’re in a bunker on some of these fairways, like we’re kind of screwed. We hit that one pretty good. I came back on it a little bit, but we still hit uh close to the middle of the face, so I’m happy. I knew I was going to hit a little draw on that, too. So, I aimed a little further right. Um, but we’re not in the bunker. We’re in the roughish again. I feel like our only goal here is to get on the green, especially because this green has bunkers surrounding it. This is wild. I’m just still in like awe of like the views out here. Even like the the trees with like the purple flowers. It’s just so gorgeous. It’s like you look at it and it’s like, “Okay, let me just take a deep breath, take in your surroundings, and enjoy it.” Oh yeah, we are solid. Oh no, we pulled it so bad. Saw that coming. Oh no, we’re in the green side bunker. I feel like I have the tendency sometimes to shut my face at a dress and that’s where the pools come in. But that’s okay. We got to get this up and down here on hole three. If not, we still have one shot to give away or we’re going in to into the pool with our clothes on. And honestly, I’m not sure how the resort that we’re staying at is going to feel about that. Nice easy bunker shot. Abs. Pop. Pop her up. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Oh no. I felt like I hit that so good, too. That a long putt to save bar. We can do it. Right to left. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Sit. Okay. Good distance. Just didn’t play enough break or I pulled the crap out of it. Okay. Bogey number two. We are now two over through three holes. We have three holes to go. We really need to make a birdie in this somewhere. You’re probably not going to be able to hear it in the background, but it seriously reminds me of Squid Games right now. If anybody’s watched Squid Games, it’s like little kids music. I don’t know how to explain it. If you watch Squid Game, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Oh, forgot we’re playing from zip skin. Par five, hole number four. 550 yards. [Music] Since we’re here on the tea, what’s your favorite color? Mine’s like a turquoise aqua slash blue and then like pink and purple. That’s why I’m just loving this blue on the fit today of Smith and Quinn and navy. I actually the colors I like to wear is navy. So good. The best thing about the melon hats too is that they literally have a I like to say button, but it’s not a button to grab the hat so you don’t get the bottom of the hat dirty. If you ever want to book a golf trip to Asia, anywhere in Asia, Golf Asian is where it’s at. They do your whole itinerary from start to finish. Not only golf, but excursions, VIP service, five and six star hotels, and they got your back. They take care of you. Just had to let you know if you’re ever thinking of coming to Asia, Golf Asian is the way to go. It makes everything 10 times easier, especially coming from the States. Like, I would have had no idea where to go, what to do, and they set it up all for us. Thank you, Golf Asian. Oh no, that’s it. Okay, we closed the face down on that one. We might be in the left bunker, which in my opinion is way better than spraying it right and being OB, especially considering we need parity. Vietnam has honestly changed my perspective on everything. Little did I know Vietnam has some of the best golf courses in the world, but some of the nicest and most amazing hospitality I’ve ever seen in my life. Don’t be surprised if I if I be coming back to Vietnam like a lot more. Dead serious. The golf is some of the purest golf I’ve I’ve ever seen. Especially like from the caddy side of things. You don’t get this kind of service. sure at super private courses, but this has just been surreal. And we still need to make priority on this car five, I think. Am I in this bunker? Still got a long way to the hole. We’re going to have to lay up on this one for sure. This lip’s kind of big here, so I’m going to aim left and kind of hit a cut, I think, or at least open the face up. That should clear, right? I made good contact. Good. Maybe. Oh, no. I mean, I feel like I made pretty decent contact on that. Is that my ball right there? Rob 130 uphill. Is it playing 130? 140. Okay, we’re going to hit a decent nine. Get it up there. Be good. Please get up. Please get up. Okay. I don’t know why I’m so nervous, but I am on like every shot. I want to try and hit it good and like play well today for you. Okay. Now that I’m up on the screen, I just I guess I feel like it’s super intimidating knowing that I’m playing from so far back when I don’t usually do that. And especially the fact that I’m playing against myself today, like I’m not playing against somebody else. Usually when I’m playing against somebody else, I am like so competitive that I’m like, “Oh, there’s no doubt in my mind that I’m going to play well and win.” So right now I’m like super nervous to just play well for myself and for you obviously watching to enjoy this round with me. But we’re on the green and we got a birdie putt. Good thing I hit the the nine and not a hard wedge because I I took a little off the nine, which we could have hit it a little harder. I’m still pretty sure, but again, happy we’re on the green. Honestly, this cloud covers right now. Oh, I didn’t hit it. Man, what a wuss. The birdie putt. The We rolled that one really nicely. We made par on this par five, but I actually looked at the scorecard. The next par five, there’s another par five. Two par fives back to back is I think 700 yards. [Music] Oh my goodness. Look at this hole. It is unbelievable. This is a 700 yard par five and I’m going to be the first ever woman to play from a 10. I’m not even joking. There’s about a 240 yard carry to even make it to the fairway right now. Okay, I’m getting heated up. We got to bomb this one. Just a little left, but we’re money. All right, that was the first thing to do. not hit it in the water and we succeeded. We went after that. The face shut a little more than I wanted to, but it’s better than spraying it right cuz we have no chance if we spray it right. Left. At least we’re over the water. We’re safe. I’m happy with that. We’re I can’t believe to say that. It’s so weird. Like the first woman to ever hit it from the tips on this golf. So cool. Even though we didn’t hit it how we wanted to. We are in the clear now. I’m not really sure how much we’re going to have in, but I have a feeling we’re still going to have a really, really long way in this golf. Oh my gosh, that was honestly that got my adrenaline up a little bit. I was like, “All right, I’m pumped. Ready to go.” Like, we are ripping this drive and we are getting over this water no matter what. All right, here we are. I am just at the red te’s actually on this bowl. Cool. All right, we are literally at the red te of this hole. This is crazy. Look. Look. We have 460 yards in. 400 yards out. Still over 400. We’re going to hit hybrid out of here. Honestly, I just need to get it up there. I’m going to try and hit a baby cut, baby fade. I mean, I’m screwed if I’m in one of those bunkers, but we just need to get the ball advanced up. Okay, I had a feeling we were going to do that. That was a very short layup from where we are. We’re still going to have like 350 yards into this par five, 700 yards. The last thing I wanted to do is top that ball out of there for some reason. Well, I know why. Hitting like woods hybrids out of deep rough, I pop up on the ball. So, it’s really hard for me to hit it out of long grass, but we had to try anyways. I should have just stayed down for like a second longer. And now I feel like we are playing a par4 cuz we are still very, very far out. How far are we from the hole? 350. Yeah, I called it. How far are we from the hole? All right, I called it. We’re 350 out. All right, so we are now hitting shot three. Threewood. We just got to get it up there as far as we possibly can. Oh, and I hit that so dang good. Just left bunker. Oh, no bunker. Oh, I hit that good. A little further left than I wanted to, but Miss Caddy said we are not in the bunker, which is a great sign. So, now we are hitting shot four. So, we got to hit shot four really close to make our par. If not, I mean, we can’t make a bogey or then we have one more hole to go. Yeah, let’s not think about that. We’re trying to hit this next shot really close to the hole. Or maybe just dunk it. I mean, that’s a great idea. We could do that, too. Oh, yeah. That was a good shot. I am not taking the chance of getting underneath this ball and not getting it to the green. We got to play it safe. Soft 50, honestly. Like just right at the pin here. Oh, and I thinned it. Please sit. Please sit. Please sit. Please sit. Please sit. Oh, that was such a good miss. I completely thinned it out of this rough. But it looks like we’re almost pin high and we have a putt to save par on this 700 yard par five. Oh my gosh, I was so nervous on that shot. It’s like, Gabby, you’re not playing in a professional tournament. You’re not playing in freaking anything. You’re playing for fun. That just shows the competitiveness. Like, I’m trying to play freaking good. Even if it’s just for a YouTube video. Okay. Wish me luck, y’all. For par on this freaking longest par five ever. Nope, I didn’t hit it. We are now three over going into the sixth hole. We have the pressure now. We have to par the last hole for me not to jump in the pole with my freaking clothes on. I really try my best. Man, that was a really long hole. Okay, all of our focus is now on hole six, par four. 472 yard par4. Are you kidding me? Oh my gosh. Okay, we can do it. Yes. Honestly, because I’m such a field player, I always visualize. So, I’m literally looking down the fair right now visualizing bomb drive right down the middle with a baby draw to be right up there and have about I don’t know, let’s just say like 145 in perfect nine iron right next to the pin. I mean, you know what? We finish with a birdie. That’s what I’m visualizing for this. [Music] 470 yard par4. This looks so long. We got to bust one out there. Oh yeah, we hit that one good. Get up. Yeah, baby draw. Center face hit. Man, they’re going cray cray over there. We hit that really good. We’re in the fairway. Gabs, one shot, actually. Yeah, one shot right next to the pin. Let’s just end this off with a birdie. Just like I visualized it. Right down the middle of the fairway, baby. That’s exactly what we needed. I have a feeling I’m going to be a lot further than 145 yards out, though. Oh, I’m going for the flag. We didn’t come to Vietnam to light you up. The first time I see the lady driver more 300 yet. Really? Yes. Maximum I see 250. 250 maximum. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Out here hitting bombs. Okay, Gabs. This is your moment, dude. I wish I had the whoop on right now to show my heartbeat. Oh no. And I pulled the crap out of it. Please sit. Please sit. Please sit. Please sit. Oh, sit. Oh, if you just saw that bounce and literally hit the left side of the green and shot right. And I don’t know if that went long or where the heck that ball went, but that is not ideal. Not ideal. I got lazy AF on that swing, man. I I got scared to push it. Let the arms take over. Super unfortunate. Don’t know where this ball ended up. Honestly, it took such a hard kick to the right. That has to be over. Oh, yeah. This green is the pins all the way in the back. Nice. Nice. Oh. Oh, we’re not bad, y’all. We are actually in a decent position to make our par on this final hole. We are pin high. I got so lucky. Thank you. All right, Gabs. This is not the time to flump a chip. Hit it. Hit it. Hit it. No, dude. No. We have like a eightfooter. Save our par. Okay. Please, Gabby. This is any time to make a putt. It’s now. Bug. You’re not going to mess up my freaking line. Let’s go. Oh my gosh. Sorry to disappoint all of you who wanted me to jump in that pool, but we are not jumping in the pool with our clothes on today. Thank you guys for watching. Today was such an unreal day. Big shout out to Golf Asian in Phoenix XL. What an amazing trip. Amazing day. And we got lots more to do, so stay tuned. We are here at the famous Golden Bridge at Sun Mountain Ba Hills. This is absolutely incredible. Not only from this to the amusement park that we go through. Stay tuned because we got a day of adventure ahead of us. I wasn’t really sure what to expect going to Sunworld, but once we pulled in and saw the lines of people at the ticket counter and I saw the gondola that never ends going to the top of the mountain, I was like, “Okay, like we are going somewhere where a lot of people want to see.” When we were walking to the gondola, it was like a 10-minute walk through like little shops and stores and ice cream. Like, it seriously gave you that magical feeling right before going to the top. Then it was time for the first cable car, which I call a gondola, but it’s not your average gondola ride. It’s officially the longest and highest non-stop cable cars in the world. 5.8 km long and nearly 1,300 m high. We were literally soaring above the jungle. I was wondering if I was going to see like a bear or something, but they don’t have that in Vietnam. Waterfalls were peeking through the trees. Mountain ridges curve like dragons back in the distance. There was moments I just sat there in silence taking it all in. Like, is this real life? When we got off the gondola, I was so excited, but I was not expecting this. We walked straight into a mountaintop French village. Stone paved streets, ivorycovered balconies. It felt like we’d somehow been dropped into the 19th century of Europe. There was literally carnival games at the top of this mountain. Sunworld called this fantasy park. And honestly, the name fits. I was like freaking out. Out of nowhere, we hit the beer plaza. Y’all, we might as well have landed in Munich. There’s people dancing. The architecture was so detailed. It looked straight out of a story book. Next, we took another gondola. This one a little more shorter, but even more scenic. And it brought us to the famous Golden Bridge. I’ve seen it in photos. I’ve seen it in travel vlogs, but nothing prepares you for seeing this in real life or at least being there. As I say, pictures and videos don’t do its justice. The bridge is 150 m long, curved elegantly like a silk ribbon floating in the air, and cradled with two giant stone hands. Designed to look ancient, the hands of the gods holding up the path to heaven. It sits over 4600 ft above sea level. The craziest part, it’s all man-made, but somehow blends seamlessly into nature, and it feels sacred. It was honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. The clouds rolled in as we arrived, thick, moody, slowm moving. I felt like I seriously was in a dream. My heart slowed down. My mind went quiet. And I could have just stayed here forever. Bana Hills wasn’t just a checkbox tour stay. It was a full experience. History, architecture, thrill rides, culture, nature, one of the best golf courses I’ve ever played in my life. The way Vietnam blends fantasy and tradition is epic. It left me speechless. If you ever find yourself near Daang, do not skip Ba Hills. It’s a day you’ll never forget, and I know I won’t.
Pulled up to Ba Na Hills Golf Club outside Da Nang to take on the longest golf course in all of Vietnam… and gave myself a little challenge: 3 strokes to shoot even par, or I’m jumping in the pool fully clothed. 🫣💦
This course is an absolute stunner. Mountain views, pure fairways, and the kind of layout that humbles you real quick. Vibes? Immaculate.
Ba Na Hills is seriously a must-visit. You’re playing golf tucked into the mountains with mist rolling in over the tree line, and every hole feels like it was made for drone shots. It’s peaceful, surreal, and honestly one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever swung a club. If you’re in Vietnam and love golf even a little, this is the place to play. 🏌♂🌄
After the round, we made our way up to Sun World Ba Na Hills, a literal amusement park in the clouds. European castles, cable cars through the mountains, and the insane Golden Bridge held up by giant stone hands? Yeah… It’s as wild as it sounds. 🎢🌁
Golf, punishment bets, mountain adventures, this one’s got it all.

Great video Gabi! Loved how you showed not only the golf, but things one can do when you’re not playing. A golf trip to SE Asia is now on my fantasy wish list!
It's just really sad that golf in Vietnam is super expensive. Vietnam sadly needs municipal style golf courses because local Vietnamese cannot afford to golf.
Great 6-hole round Gabi😍⛳️🏌️♀️
