Wow, such amazing shots. Really inspiring for a young golfer!
He was a clutch player never to be duplicated
3 handicap golfer could play any of those shots.
The Goat when you factor in longevity.
What about hole 15? They only showed 4 birdies.
Absolute magician.
Tiger and Jack were the 2 greatest pressure putters. This is why they are their era GOATS! Drive for show, putt for dough! Its a cliche for a reason
To be alive when he was in his prime
GOAT!!! 1962-1986 was the guy to beat week after week, major after major. Tiger still dreams that he’ll be as great as Jack someday.
such a great call on 18 by Vin Scully. An underrated great golf announcer IMO
The younger generation doesn’t know how awesome Jack Nicklaus was. He was a great competitor and he had an incredible career 🏌️♂️💥⛳️💥🇺🇸💥
To compare him with tiger is a travesty he is a role model a inspiration a legend with no impurities to his name through out his career a absolute icon on and off the course
Where is this?
The greatest
It wasn’t a major so it was too easy for Jack 😂
I don’t think the younger fans understand how awesome he was.
Started in 1960…
18 majors
19 seconds
13 thirds
75 top tens in 150+ majors
Prime ended in 1980 and yet had a second at the Open in 81, a second at the PGA in 82, 7th at the Masters in 85, won it in 86, and was only 4 strokes back halfway through in 1990. Then to put icing on the cake, he gets 6th in 98.
Barely played senior tour and won 8 of those slams
Tiger had one unbelievable 11 year run, but Jack went 20, then decided to keep lurking when he wanted to afterwards
When playing pertner Grier Jones was asked what he said during all this, he replied: "I just said 'nice shot', 'nice shot', 'nice shot', 'nice shot' and 'nice shot'."
This is not prime Jack Nicklaus! He won 6 majors after the age of 37. He won 12 majors before the age of 38. Next time do your research before you post.
Parachute 70's Jack into this boring as h*ll PGAT and he's instantly the most exciting, most animated and BEST player on the planet.
What? A golfer who smiles and enjoys what he's doing. Who knew?
And imagine GOAT with today's ammo, equipment, wedges, putters AND facing players who CAN'T win Majors.
🐐
Tech is better these days, but ya still gotta hit the sweet spot. Golf is one sport you could transplant Bobby Jones to today and he'd still be elite.
That first birdie was insane
I’ve been following Golf since Arnie Palmer and still follow. Jack in my opinion is the GOAT.
