Sub 70 – 959X Fairway Wood Overview
The new 959X fairway wood from Sub70 Golf is a continuation of the 949X, which has been very successful. We’ve kept the same basic shape and design, but the technology has changed since that has come out for us to warrant bringing this new product out to the market. Uh there’s some factors that we’ll talk about that I think that will make the product perform better for you. The face is definitely hotter. There’s more ball speed in it. There’s more use of carbon fiber which reduces the weight of the head and that gives us more weights to work with on the bottom of the golf club. We now have three weight adjustments in the heel, toe, and rear portion. It just allows you to customize it more. Also, in the last couple of years, as the golf ball has not spun as much for more golfers, higher lofted fairway woods have become an option that is not outside the norm anymore. You’re seeing even professionals playing seven woods and nine woods. And in this new 959 series, along with having left-handed, we also have uh some higher lofted woods, fourwood, fivewood, 7wood, 9wood. They are becoming very mainstream. Give them a try. I think they’re very easy to hit and they go up in the air. It goes straight and slides through the roof. So, it’s a great product for those long iron alternatives. The shape is still very much the same as the 949. The profile, so it’s a continuation of a very successful product. But if you’re looking for a fairway wood that performs on all areas of the golf course, that’s very userfriendly, gets up in the air, plenty of ball speed, the 959X should be perfect for you.
