We’re pumped to bring you game two of this threeame set between the 75 and 54 Toronto Blue Jays and 60 and 68 Miami Marlins. The Fish dropped game one last night 5 to2 after the return of Shane Bieber lived up to the hype. McCulla will now turn to Jansen Junk who’s coming off tying a careerhigh seven innings in front of 38,000 at Fenway Park. George Springer leads it off. Edwards snags its play. Bo Bashette is up having a terrific season. One pitch. Bette with the chopper over to second. Quick work. X has got it. He flips to first. Hicks holds the bag. That is a one, two, three inning for Jansen Junk. It’s been a tough months of July and August for Bereos. And John Schneider commented on that today about yes, the velocity’s been down at times this year, trended back up a little bit more recently, but I look back to how he does against right-handed batters. That’s usually his bread and butter. Here’s Augustine Ramirez. Augustine with 18 homers and 27 doubles. The 27 doubles leading the ball club. The O2 pitch, strike three looking. And just like that, Bios and the Blue Jays sit down the Marlins. And we head to the second inning. Now Eric Wagman. Wagman dhing today. 0 for one with a walk as a pitch hitter yesterday. And the two- two pitch is a swing and a miss as Wagman sits down. The second strikeout of the day for Bereio. Two away. Really good pitch there by Bereio. That change up is the pitch that he goes back to after backto back slur right at the last minute. Turns back in towards the barrel. A ground ball to first and Troy Johnston is retired and Jose Bereos has retired the first six he’s faced today. No score top three. Nathan Lucas is the batter in the seven spot again hitting an even 250 on the season as he hits a fly ball well deep right field. Meyers back turns and it’s off the wall. Lucas is on his way to second and in there with a leadoff double. Well, that has to feel good for Nathan Lucas. Scuffling a little bit recently at the plate. He gets a change up down in the zone and he really stays on it. Now Junk is seeing Ernie Clement, the right-handed hitting third baseman. He swings the bat and he hits it to right field. Lucas going back to tag. Meyers has a very good arm out in right field, but Lucas is into third. Well, that’ll work. Andre Jimenez is up. The second baseman. There’s some contact, but not the kind that Jimenez wants. He gets hit by the pitch. That slider was biting down and in. All right. And there was nowhere to go. So, it’s first and third. One out for George Springer. 02. And it’s into right field. A base hit. Lucas will score. Jimenez to third. It’s an RBI single for Springer. And a one to nothing lead for the Blue Jays. And it also explains why Nathan Lucas was not going on the contact play earlier when you’ve got that lineup turning over and George Springer stays on this pitch. Remember that first at bat, he grounded out to second base on a fast ball away and I was saying he saw a lot of pitches. Let’s see how it sets up for round two and he stayed right on that slider away. Springer with a on base streak now. 18 games. So it’s first and third again. Here’s Barger. 02 pitch right to shortstop. There’s one. There’s that double play. very much needed. That is exactly what the doctor ordered. Taylor made a 63 DP and the inning is over. Javier Senoha to lead things off for Miami. The right-handed hitting third baseman. Swinging a miss and Burios gets Javier Senoha. Good location out there by Jose. Started the atbat off with a breaking ball. I’m keeping an eye on how many of those he’s throwing. Hasn’t been too many. Swings like this on the fast ball. Very indecisive swing. Now the right fielder Dane Meyers. Myers did not start in last night’s game. Chopped to third. Tough play off the glove of Clement and he will not be able to recover. That should be an infield base hit for Dane Meyers who needs to collect some hits. It’s been a rough second half for Dne. So he’s happy that this ball was in and out of the glove of Ernie Clement at third. Two outs and the X-Man is up. The one two and he got him. 94 from Bereos. That’s a good sign. His fourth strike out of the ball game already. Swinging a miss on high heat against Xavier Edwards. The fourth strikeout for Bereios ends the inning and we go to the fourth with Toronto leading one- nothing. Jose Bios has pitched extremely well through four innings. Jose Bereios has allowed just one infield hit. Struck out five. 93 on the corner for his seventh strike out of the ball game. Five very good innings for Jos Bereios here in Miami and the Blue Jays still lead one to nothing. And it will be the top of the order for Toronto as George Springer digs in. One for two on the afternoon. He rips one to left field. Diving is Johnston and he makes Did he grab it or not? I thought he had it but second base umpire who probably had the best angle of anybody. So that’s Mike Winsky out there. Springer was waiting on first base and you could see John gets the club right in the right spot and makes an outstanding play. Well, there is something you don’t see often. A walk from Jansen Junk, his first of the game and only his 10th of the year in 86 and 2/3 innings. Here’s Bette, one for two. Had a base hit, his last time up. Grounds it up the middle. That’s another base hit. Barger an aggressive turn, but then puts the brakes on him back to the bag. First and second with one out. Two hits today. It’s his 46th multi-hit game of the season. That leads the major leagues. Now Kirk 0 for two on a couple of fly balls to center. And that’s a fair ball down the right field line. Varcher’s going to come in to score. Bette’s going to be held. It’s an RBI double for Kurt. And it’s two to nothing. And Joe Junk is going to stay to face VO. Varo swing and a miss. Big strike out on the four team fast for Jansen. Junk. Huge strikeout there. Yeah, you talk about a well-needed strikeout. Not only a good pitch, but just tremendous location. Junk. He was shaking his hand. Yeah. Watch after he throws the pitch, the right hand kind of shaking it. So, not sure what that could be, but it’s enough that he’s coming out of the game. Clayton McCulla’s got to his bullpen for lefty Cade Gibson. So, France will be issued the intentional walk because they’d rather have a lefty lefty matchup, but John Schneider is countering with Miles Straw. 3-2 again and he takes it inside for ball four and that’ll bring in a run. A good played appearance there by Straw. It is three to nothing. Tyler Phillips on the hill here in the top of the seventh as the Marlins trail 3 nothing. Now it’s Springer looking to do some damage. This ball is hit to deep center by Springer and it’s gone. Boy, it looked for a moment like Marcy thought he might have a play on that, but that one got out of here in a heartbeat. It’s number 22 for Springer and it’s four to nothing in the bottom of the seventh with Toronto up four. Liam Hicks. And there is a base hit for Liam Hicks up the middle. Marlins get their second hit of the ball game and the first one to leave the infield. Eric Wagaman by Miami DH today. He’s 0 for two. Here’s the 3-2 pitch and it’s ripped for a base hit by Wagaman. Hicks is going to try to go to third. Wagaman’s going to take advantage and go to second. Good base running there by Liam Hicks. was able to hammer that ball and then a good job by Liam Hicks. Good turn and then heads up on Wags’s part to see that throw miss the cut off man. Never hesitate and make it to second base. You’ll see Troy Johnston. You could absolutely see this being the last hitter that Burios faces. And there’s a shot to center field and that’s going to drop for a base hit. Ragman took a look. He’s going to hold up. though it’s a single and RBI for Troy Johnston and the Marlins are on the board. It’s 4-1. The Blue Jays right-handed reliever Lewis Farland on the mound is his 60. Javier Senoa is 0 for two. There’s the 2-1 pitch. Ripped down the line. Is it fair? Yes, it is. It’s into the corner. Wagaman scores. Here’s Johnson rounding third. He’s getting the green light. He held up for a moment. Throw to the plate and he is out at the plate. So goes in with a double. The Marlins do get one. Otto been bothered by a stomach illness. Did not start yesterday or today. Sitting over 300 runners in scoring position. Base hit to center field. Senoa rounding third. No throw. He’ll score. It is now a 4-3 ball game. Or shoot falls right back up the middle. So the the decision pays off. Lopez comes through and it’s a one-run game. They’ll have Wagaman, Johnston, and Senoa scheduled. They will face the Blue Jays closer who’s been on a a good role of well of late and that’s Jeff Hoffman. It’s ball four. Wagaman is aboard. Let’s see if the Marlins pinch run. We got Derek Hill on the bench. There goes Hill. First pitch throw by Kirk is not in time. Full of base. He didn’t waste any time, Tommy. Boy, I tell you what, that was just an unbelievable jump. Alejandro Kirk never had a chance. 3-2 pitch driven deep to center field. Back goes Baro. Makes the catch. Hill will tag. So a good job. Johnson hit it hard and he got the runner over to third. That is just classic. Infield is in. Senoa is up. Doubled in a run last time up. Line base makes it. Ball game is tied. Senoa does it again. Javier Senoa first pitch hitting. We’ve got a tie ball game for four. This crowd loves Javenoa. Big hit after big hit. Big double back in the seventh inning. Driving in a run. Didn’t waste any time at all on Hoffman to pick up another run to tie the game. Welcome back as we go to the 10th inning. Extra innings. Ronnie Oriquez is in. Oh, what a year he’s had. 57th game for Ronnie. He’s got six victories. All four. And off the glove of the catcher to the back stop as Ramirez couldn’t squeeze it. And a big 90 ft there for the Blue Jays. This is a problem for the Marlins and their young catcher. We saw a little misplay on front of the plate earlier. That glove is so far down to the ground that you’ve got to come all the way back up and he doesn’t catch it cleanly. So here is Tai France. He’s 0 for three. This is a fly ball to right field. Meyers backing up will make the catch. Bette will tag. He is on his way to the plate and in there. Hein to third and the sack fly for France gives the Blue Jays the lead. As we go to the bottom of the 10th inning, Mason Flu Hardy is in. We saw him yesterday. Lefty went two/3 of an inning, walked one, but he’ll flip Xavier Edwards around to the right side. It’ll be X Marcy and Augustine against Flu Hardy with Otto Lopez as a place runner at second. Ground ball up the middle. Runner will move over. Menz makes the play. Boy, he’s tough at second base. Nice play. But now the Marlins are 90 ft away from tying the game. That’ll bring up Jacob Marcy. Infield is in for the Jays. An 01 count. Driven in the air left center field. It’s going to drop for a base hit. Marcy’s going to try to get a double out of it. He slides in there. He does. He ties the game. And the potential winning run is now on second base. The Wookie did it again. You’re not going to tag an 0 for five on Jacob Marcy. Sixgame hitting streak now. He’s been on base 18 to 22. What a beautiful hit against the left-hander, staying back, driving it into left center, and then saying as he got out of the box, this is going to be two. And it looks like Clayton McCulla’s got a pinch hitter coming up for Liam Hicks to avoid a lefty lefty matchup. Rookie Ariberto Hernandez, a 276 hitter in 56 games, will be the batter. Jacob Marcy is in second. He represents the winning run. High fly ball to deep right center field and caught by Barger and the runners go back. Addison Barger with a leaping catch on the warning track in deep right center. That is a big outfield. I was watching Varo and Barger both converge on this baseball and Addison went a long way to get to that ball before corelling it. What a play by Barger. And Clement advances the runner 90 ft. Ernie’s got that play down. He did it earlier in his first atbat of the day. He gets his high fives for moving that runner. Now Jimenez up in a big big spot. 0 for three today. Also was hit by a pitch infield in for the Marlins. And a base hit into left field and Jimenez gives the Blue Jays the lead. Little cutter in the bottom of the zone and Andres does a nice job just staying inside this baseball, shooting it through the hole on the left side. You like that swing placeer here in the 11th is Derek Hill. Tremendous speed. Troy Johnston is up. Tommy Nin stays in the pitch. Ground ball. Base hit. Hill to third. He’ll get the stop sign from Loi. First and third. Nice job by Johnston. His second in of the game. Soaha is up. The infield has crept toward the edge of the turf. Ground ball. That’s a base hit. It’ll tie the game. Senoa. Who else? He did it again. Third consecutive RBI hit. He tied up the game in the ninth. He now ties it up in the 11th again. Boy, the little spark plug just keeps doing it and doing it. He’s like the Energizer battery. Sharply hit to third to second one. They turn it and Nance gets out of it and sends this game to the 12th. All kinds of stuff going on here in Miami. It is on to the 12th. Each team scoring a run in both the 10th and the 11th. And it’ll be Addison Barger leading it off. Bounced to the right side. Barger retired. Springer to third. One out. And a pretty good guy at the plate right now for the Blue Jays trying to give them the lead again. Bo Bette who’s three for five. Bette lines the ball to left center field. A base hit and Springer will jog home. Fourth hit of the game for Bette. And once again, the Blue Jays have the lead. His 17th career four hit game. And it’s seven to six Blue Jays. Seventh pitcher is in the game for the Toronto Blue Jays. And it is the lefty we saw yesterday, Brendan Little. Yeah, Little came in the game last night, saw two hitters, struck two hitters out, got Marcy, got Ramirez. Otto Lopez, the runner at second. And the top of the order coming up for the Marlins. Sharply hit to short. Bette to second. The tag. They got him. Bette to Jimenez. And they get Lopez diving back into the bag. And what a heads up play by Bo Bashette to throw it to Jimenez and get the out as they tag Lopez diving back into the bag. What a play. Ground ball to short. Bette to Jimenez and the Blue Jays win it in one of the crazier games of the season. It wound up taking 12 innings and takes a real toll on the bullpen. But what a game for Bo Bashette on both sides of the ball.

  1. Bichette makes enough i mean how many millions does he need? All of these players are millionaires. Costs 40$ just for the parking to go to a game these days

  2. Schneider needs to do a lot better anticipating when his pitchers are done. His management of the bullpen is also very suspect.

  3. Would the jays please resign bo bichette. He's a stud. I called for him to be the trade piece to get the starter but we got the Bieber fever instead.. gotta give management credit there.

  4. Hoffman has been a disaster. Can't say I agree with pulling Berrios when he was pulled …. again, Schneider and Boozy Pete show they can't handle their pitchers.

  5. What a great win. It was troubling that the Marlins came back to tie it but with Boston winning their game, this win was really important.

  6. The attendance on Saturday was 24,943. That's the fifth-largest crowd for a game at loanDepot park this season, trailing only the games against the New York Yankees and Opening Day.

  7. That rookie Sanoja needs to learn some respect. Bat flips off a single. Made me so happy when they lost the game… Hahaha

  8. Schneider should have pulled Berrios sooner. That guy is gonna screw them in the playoffs again. He's just wrong. He gets important calls wrong. He's a liability. Like he proved in 2 ALCS/ALWC series. Seattle & Minnesota.

  9. What A Game In Miami And What A Thriller For The Blue Jays And Glad Berrios is Finally Finding His Groove Again That Play From Bichette And Gimenez was Incredible Let’s Go Blue Jays

  10. Congratulations BLUE JAYS!💛🧡❤💜💙💚💛🧡❤💜💙💚🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🐦🐦🐦👍👍👍👍👍👍

  11. We love you BLUE JAYS! GO BLUE JAYS GO!💛🧡❤💜💙💚💖💖💖🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🐦🐦🐦👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  12. I live in toronto and I love it i seen the world series in the 90s when I was very young…hoping this year is ours!!!

  13. The Blue Jays need to either DFA or cut Varland he has been a disaster since he came to the Jays.
They would NEVER have gone to extra innings if it wasn't for his awful pitching!! How does a team have TWO blown saves in one game???!!!

  14. I have to admit I am not really a big fan of the player starting at 2nd base in extra innings but last night's Jays/Marlins game in OT was fun and exciting to watch. Mostly because the teams traded runs for three innings until Bo Bichette made a fabulous play catching the runner on 2nd base too far off base for a big out that snuffed out the Marlins comeback.
Play of the game for the player of the game!
Bo Bichette has got to be a leading candidate for league MVP!
    🦂🥂

  15. J.Schneider has to make better decisions on managing these pitchers…he blew a whole lead…batters have to work to hard keeping up with J Schneiders decisions…this cannot continue going forward blowing leads like this!!!

  16. Springer deserves way more credit for this win. He is so locked it. Also really like Bargers catch in extra innings. Liners that are straight at you can be hard to track

  17. Would love to see this type of baseball in the playoffs. I love watching edge of your seat action like this during the run up to fall classic. This BJ team has really grown over the past couple years and Im loving what I'm seeing. Lets bring it home fellas, TORONTO wants it!!

  18. That kid Sanoja is pretty special. Small in stature but comes up big & clutch in critical situations. And i'm saying this as a Jays fan.

  19. On this game, the Blue Jays became the first team in MLB's modern era to blow a lead in the 9th, 10th and 11th innings, yet still win the game.
