Little guy caught the bug. Such a great game to bond with family. I miss playing with my old man. Some of the best times in my life on the course with him.

Any tips?

If that was my kid he’d be running back out there to try and get the ball he hit. Fortunately it wouldn’t have gone nearly as far as your kid’s shots.

My boys wackin em! I took my 2 (one girl one boy) recently and they both did great. Looking forward to bringing them on the course in a few years!

Just got my 6 year old into playing. It’s the best thing ever!
I tee off from the blues, and he watches me. Then, he tees up from the reds. From there, he walks and chases his ball up the fairway. I take the cart, and play my ball. We meet on the green, and finish the hole together. Both of smiling.

My kid started at that age. He’s almost 3 and still doing it every single day. He calls the range “home” and he only wants to be swinging golf clubs.
My tip? Don’t try to instruct him outside of being safe. Celebrate the fun shots. Make a game out of trying to hit targets with him. Go have ice cream after the range session and celebrate a particular shot he hit. Only good vibes. Also, leave before he gets tired and has a bad taste in his mouth for it.

My 17 month old couldnt be trusted not to just run out – how on earth do you have a kid with any focus at this age!

Taking bets now on the over/under age for him to break par. On a standard par 72, I’m gonna go with 10.

Don’t ever tell him to keep his back foot on the ground. It’s counterbalance for the force of the club in his hand. Every other sports motion uses a leg for counterbalance, it comes natural to golf swing, but gets taught away for no reason. He’s doing it right already.

Just wait until he’s old enough to mow the lawn.

As long as its HIM to wants to play and not dad who is forcing it……i have a brother who ruined his kids fun for the sport and it still bothers me……

YES! A natural.

Oh jeez, his stance is too closed, the grips all wrong, and he’s early extending. He’ll never break 100.
I’m kidding of course. Good for you, a new golf partner for life. Congrats!

When your kid snags a hole in one before you, do you pretend to be happy?

What make and model are those clubs? My son is 16 months old and loves to play with his little plastic set. Been thinking of getting him better clubs to actually take out and play.
