NCEL Talk – Bob Haywood, Adam Gittings, Jordan Ripley & Richard Watts

[Music] [Music] [Music] Welcome to the Northern Counties East League podcast. I’m Richard Watts. I’m now joined by League General Manager Matt Jones. Hello and welcome to the official podcast of the Mron Northern Counties East Football League. Picker in town are the last Macron NCL side left standing in this year’s Emirates FA Cup following a thrilling 5-2 home victory over Red Car Athletic in the first qualifying round on Friday night. Facing higher ranked opposition from the pitching in Northern Premier League, the Pikes delivered a standout performance to book their place in Monday’s draw. George Brown led the charge with a superb hat-tick supported by goals from Joe Wood and George Thulis. Unfortunately, the weekend’s remaining league hopefuls couldn’t replicate Pickering success despite spirited efforts and all three of the sides were playing teams from higher up. Rossington Maine faced the toughest challenge hosting Northern Premier League Premier Division leaders FC United and Manchester. A bumper crowd of 1458 witnessed a 4-nil win for the visitors. Wwell Town also bowed out falling 3-1 at home to Stocksbridge Park steels. Oliver Fear and netted for the home side but the two division gap proved too great. Botisford Town was similarly outmatched losing 4-1 at Matlock Town. Jack Men of his first half equalizer gave hope, but the step for side took control after the break. So all of our leagues eyes now will be on picker in town on September the 13th as the only remaining team in the competition. In the Premier Division, Tadcaster Albian stretched their lead at the top to four points. Goals from Alfie Dean and Charlie Marshall secured a 2-1 win over Nesbra Town with Josh Hardcastle grabbing a late consolation. Penniston Church slipped to third after a two-nil home defeat to Frickley Athletic. Barton Town leap frog them into second with a commanding 3-0 win over Golka United. Lewis Stevens bagged a brace and Tom Wardby added a third as Golkar remained rooted to the bottom of the table. Liver sit fourth after a two-nil win over Hbury Town courtesy of George Green’s penalty and a Kean Swale strike. and Parkgate complete the top five following a goalless draw at home to Beverly Town. Zackley moved up to sixth with a 3-1 win over Albian Sports, meaning Albian still without a win this season. Paul Walker, H Gorgi, and Joshua Owen found the net with Emerson Cox replying for the visitors. Friday night’s local derbies delivered drama. Max Dickinson’s hat-tick powered Campion to a 4-1 win over Ecklesville United and Sheffield drew 1-1 with Hanssworth in front of the division’s biggest crowd of the season so far, a fantastic 533 spectators. Mitchell opened the scoring for the visitors with Connor Cooks replying for the home team. In division one, Harriut Railway Athletic and D and District continued their strong starts, both securing home wins to stay ahead of the pack. Haragget remained top after a 3-0 win against Route One Rovers with Alex Ingham opening the scoring and Dom Kmer adding two more. Durn sit two points behind them after a 3-1 victory over Illey Town thanks to goals from Jacob Woodward Owenfields End and Jamie Austin. Wesby Bridge Athletic climbed into third with a dramatic 3-2 win at Armthought Welfare sealed by a last gasp hat-tick goal from Benjamin Pike. Wakefield moved into fourth after Tom Hinton’s brace earned them a three-nil win at Aursby Recreation. Club Thorn Collies slipped down to fifth following a one-0il home defeat to Croll Colts with Joe Hair scoring the decisive goal. South leads are up to sixth with a 2-1 win Raffle Fingham courtesy of quickfire strikes from James and William Law. Ghoul round out the top eight with a 4-1 win at Winterton Rangers. Curtis Davis, Leo Bryman, Kyle Austin, and a known goal secured the result with Charlie Weekes netting for the hosts. Elsewhere, Bricktown and a muchneeded three-1 win over Selby Town with second half goals from Dale Hooken and Henry Par. Latown edged out Maltby Main 1-0il with Adam Milson scoring the winner. Lead’s UFC claimed a two-nil away win at nostal miners welfare and glassart and welfare and Doncaster City played out a goal of scoring them 19th and 16th respectively. Onto this weekend we have 40 of our 42 sides in action. There’s three games on Friday night and 17 on Saturday. Thanks as always to everybody that follows our clubs for your fantastic support. Have a great time watching your team this weekend. [Music] Next up, NCL talk. Before I hand over to Bob, here’s Adam with his thoughts on the Rosington versus FC United and Manchester FA Cup tie. Hi everyone. Sorry I can’t make the podcast this week. I am at a wedding. However, I have come on just do a bit on the uh Roso versus FC United Manchester game since I rock the game and you know a massive game in Rosington’s history. So um I thought I’d come on and do a bit just to um you know see point in the podcast and uh talk about what happened. So fortunately I did miss the first 15 20 minutes as I were coming back from the Rovers game. Uh but once I got there it were you know a good first half, a good um contest and you know both teams had a fair few chances. Apparently FC United started the better team before I got there, but then Rosso got more back into the game, but then about 28 minutes I think it were. Um FC United and Manchester got a penalty and it were a clear one as well. And um experienced EFL and even Premier League player Adam Leandre put baller back at the net to make it 1-0 to FC United. And then Roso had a few chances to be fair after that and we even hit the post uh you know very lucky I thought it were going in but yeah it it just weren’t to be. And then just before the halftime whistle, FC United and Manchester made it 2-0 as well, which were a real kick in the teeth because if you go in at 1-0, you know, you’ve got it only takes one shot to go in and uh you know, you right back in it. Whereas 2-0 against a team as good as FC United, it’s it’s a long way back and you know, it’s always going to be hard just going into half time as well. And FC just show the quality in the second half. came out and didn’t let up at all and got uh two more goals quickly with John Buckley who got the uh second goal getting his third and fourth as well to complete uh the hattick. Um and yeah and then it were a case of you know we brought the main experienced players off and put some youngsters on for the final 20 minutes or so and um yeah then the game rode out to a 4-nil win to FC United but you know um just full credit to Roso they had um you know a tough task in front of them and they dealt with it really well especially in the first half and even in the second half didn’t give up at all and um you know kept pushing them all the way and also fair play to FC United and Manchester a quality uh you a quality team and just an amazing setup to be fair with the fans, the players, um you know, everyone involved at the club. It’s such a great thing that they do, you know, all the members and stuff like that. And um I went to watch them a few seasons ago. My team don played them away in a preseason friendly and I’ve always said from then it’s probably been best non-league round I’ve been to. They had a band on in the concourse and just all the food were amazing. The drinks options were amazing. it just how you know how a match day should be. If you had to make a perfect match day, it probably would be something like FC United and Manchester do. Um and yeah, their fans were incredible. They brought I reckon they’re about at least three 300 FC and Manchester fans and yeah, they just sang the hearts out all game and no generic songs as well. They’re all you can tell like custom songs that they’ve really put some effort into making. Um so um yeah, you know, their fans are incredible. But yeah, an it was an amazing, you know, event. There were 1,400 attendance which were second highest think Dul Hamlet had a higher attendance in this round of the FA Cup. So, fair play to everyone involved and yeah, unfortunately Roso couldn’t get the job done, but um you know, we’re going to be hard against a team as good as FC United. So, yeah. Anyway, just a bit of a segment from me. So, um yeah, um thank you for listening to it and enjoy the rest of the podcast. We’re short on numbers unfortunately. I’ve got myself, Bob, and Richard, and Jordan hopefully will be joining us shortly. All the other guys are either working or in disposed, but so we’ll get straight to it then. And um we’ll start with the FA Cup. Uh it was FA Cup weekend last week. And we’ll start with the FA Cup first round qualifying. And the first match was on Friday night where Pickering was at home to Northern Premier League East Red Athletic and Pickering um ran out fantastic winners at 52. Um it was Halime. It was 2-1 to Pickering and George Brown got a hat-tick uh for Pickering. Um the other two goals were by Joe Wood and George Theis. Adam Boys and Bradley Fit. That was it was a a great result for picking, wasn’t it, Richard? Certainly was. That’s terrific result against higher league team and uh comfortable victory by the look of it in the end. Yeah. Yeah. And they’ve got a great got a great reward in the next in the next round. They’ve been drawn to Runorn Lin. And it’s been did you know Richard, it’s been chosen by the BBC for the match on the eye play and the red button. I didn’t know that. No, it’s fantastic. That, isn’t it? And they decount of money out of that, I would think. Yeah. So, it’s it’s really good. I saw it on their Twitter this week. I mean, it’s they get they get about over 3,000 if they win. I mean, and I think Run Lin I had a look before I came on. They’re in playing the Northern Premier League West. They’re third in the league. Um, so it’ll be No, no, I think Bar Red car was higher, I think. So there’s a good opportunity if they can play like performance thing like that against red carrot when they play run every chance of getting into the third qualifying round which would make some more money for them. So that’s that’s great for them and it was a good crowd. I see the crowd has 404. That’s great that isn’t it? Yeah absolutely. So well so well done Pickering. Um so we’ll go on to the FA Cup on Saturday. Um and there was three matches involving our teams. Uh Matlock for Bisford won. Oh well it was a tough tough ask for Bisford. Um cuz Matt Lock played two steps higher than than Bottisford. But they give a good account themselves. Um Matt Lock went in front through Cameron Wilson and then Bodisford equalized and at halftime it was 1-1. So it was all to play for in the second half. Um but then Matlock got three goals in the second half, one in the last minute, but a good performance for from Bos, don’t you think Rich in it? Yeah, really good performance. Very very tough place to go and to be to be level at Halime after going behind. That’s that’s excellent. Real good performance. Yeah, it certainly is. And then we had um Rosington versus FC United of Manchester. Um now we there’s been a piece Adam Gittens was not Adam was not with us tonight but he has done a a piece on this um match. It was Rosington nil FC United 4. Um it was two and a half time Adam Leandre I think he played in the Premier League. Did he play in the Premier League? Adam, you did QPR and Reading, I think. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then Jordan Buckley uh with a hat-tick. So, they run out four-nil winners. The crowd was a a whopping 1,458. That must be Rossington’s highest crowd for a number of seasons, I would have thought. Don’t you think so, Richie? You would think so, wouldn’t you? That’s just terrific crowd. [Music] And then and the last one matching the FA Cup was one well one Stocksbridge Park steals three. Um it was 1 nil to Stocksbridge at Halime. They made it 2-0. Uh 1 got one back make it 2-1 and then they got one in the D minute Stocksbridge maybe when one was trying to race up field because they got a goal in the 90th. Um but good crowd 437. So it just leaves um Pickering uh flying the flag for the North Counties East League in the FA Cup. Um so good luck to Pickering in the next round. As I say, they’ve got a home draw against um Runner Lin and it’s going to be on the BBC eye player and Red Button, but no doubt we’ll preview that next week because it’s week on Saturday um when we do the podcast. Right then, moving moving on to Friday, just going going back to Friday night, we had um in the Premier Division, we had Campion 4, Echosill one, a hat-tick from Max Dick Max Dickinson on the night and followed by Jack Normanson for Campion. Uh and then Sheffield won Hansworth one. That’s a local derby that and um crowded. You see the crowd there, Richard 533. Yeah, they love the football in Sheffield, don’t they? They get especially non league. Good crowds, aren’t they on the Sheffield derbies. Yeah. Yeah. I think I think I’ve just seen Jordan join us. Good evening. Oh, good evening, Jordan. Welcome. We’re just um with the previewing the just done the FA Cup matches and I’ve done the um we’re just doing the Friday Night League ones now. Uh so just going to division one uh on Friday night it was club thorn nil crew coats one. So crew coats are still continuing their season having a good season that crew coats aren’t they for the first first time in don’t you think? Don’t you think so guys? Yeah really started well haven’t they? I thought they might might struggle a bit at first but they’ve really hit the ground running. Mhm. Then going to Premier Division on Saturday. Then your team um having a good a great start. Richard Barton three goka nil. You want to tell us about it? Yeah, they’re playing well. Yeah. Um sort of scored um had control of the game really. Never really looked in any any great danger. Um go a couple of experienced players back with them returning to the side. Harry Steed in goal and uh the uh the center half whose name just escapes me. It’s just gone completely out of my head. But um yeah, it was a good performance by Barton. Very solid and never really looked like looked in any danger. And uh yeah, started really well um getting a settled side and just just playing I mean massive work rate and uh just playing really well as a unit at the moment. Long may continue. Yeah, long may continue. Yeah. Yep. The Well, we’ll talk about league tables a bit later, but they’re well up there. Uh second match was on the this thing is Liver saids two time a nil. Jordan, I presume you went. I did. I was there um for 44 minutes. We more than competed um and we were just getting to the point of frustrating him and then um a center half made a stupid error and decided to pull their forward down in the box and got his cell sent off. Um so yeah, that um George Green put the resulting penalty away and it was just uh backs to the wall from that point. Um the lads never gave in in fairness to them and um yeah, in the end it was 2-0. um could have been three or four had it not been from for our keeper making a couple of great saves. But all in all, we’re just um making silly errors rather than teams actually cutting us open, which seems to be the common theme this year. Um any slight chance that the opposition has given they take it, which I think is a difference between the two steps from what I’ve seen so far. But um yeah, we’ve we’re still we’re still upbeat. We are very light on numbers um at the minute, which is no excuse. I imagine most teams are in a similar boat with unavailability and stuff like that. Um but yeah, we’re doing a little bit tough at the moment. Um but we’re turning a corner. I think next week we’ve probably got almost a full strength team available. So that’ll be the first time this year. So we’re looking forward to that. Yeah. Yeah. I think I think the same with a lot of non-league teams. Um footballers. I mean they go away and the whole they’ve got I mean they’ve got their own lives. So it’s when you get out the holiday season and one thing or another you may be a bit stronger going forward you know it’s um that could be the case as well but doesn’t get much tougher than a trip to Liver does it? No I was just going to say which is I mean they’ve come down they must be one of the favorites to go back up again I would have thought. So it is a tough place to go there’s no doubt about that. Uh then moving on it was Parkgate nil at Beverly nil. Galless draw there at um at Park Gate. Uh Paniston nil uh Freickley two. Uh good result for Freickly at Panston cuz that’s not an easy place to go to. Uh then Tadcaster two, Nesbra won. So Tadcaster keeping on with their good form. Um it was nil nil Halime. Um but Nes then Ted went in front 2-0il then Nesburg drew one back in the 90th minute. Uh Thackley three Albian sports one. So a good win for Thackley. Then moving on to division one. Um Armthorp two WB bridge three uh at the nil Weightfield three. Well, unfortunately Sai’s not with us tonight, but it was a good win that for Weightfield. Ashley threw in after six minutes, then Tom Hinton with two goals in the 50 68th minute. So, a good win for Weightfield. Uh, Brig three, Selby won. Did you see the crowd there, guys? Brig still getting They’re packing them in, aren’t they? Certainly are. Terrific crowd. Yeah. Yeah. 457. That’s a That’s is a good gate. Um and a good result from Brick. Brig have seemed to have picked up in last two or three weeks with some good results. Slow snap but picking up a bit. Don district three. Illey won. Uh it was nil nil hal time again that one. Uh then D and D three go second half they reply with Oakley one. So it’s um three good one good win for D and D glass out nil. Doncasten nil goless draw there. Harrier staying well at the top of the table. They beat Route One and Rovers 3-0. Good result for them again. La one, Malt be nil. Uh no minus nil leads UFCA two. Uh and then uh South leads two, Applebeingham one. And then Winston Res four. Well, I can’t talk much about that because I wasn’t there. I was away on holiday. But, um, by all accounts, we played well. Three, three-0 up at Halime through Curtis Davis. Uh, Winters and goal, then Lee Lee Bryman, Leo Bryman. And then in second half, Kyle Austin got the fourth and then Winton got one back. But Wington seems to be struggling at the moment. Um, after two relegations as well, Rich, isn’t it? Don’t they? Yeah, it looks as if they’ve got quite quite a young inexperienced side. Um, and you do need a bit of experience, don’t you, at this sort of level. Yeah. Yeah, you do. Yeah, definitely. Definitely. So, hopefully they can pick up and get out of the uh get out of the struggle they’re in at the moment. Yeah. Yeah. So, hope fingers crossed for them. So, anyhow, moving on to the um midweek games then. Now we’ve got um on Tuesday uh in the Premier division we start with Albian to Hanssworth five. Now this is a this was a funny result. Well, not a funny result but Albian were two n at halfime. So I don’t know what the Hanssworth manager said to them to his team and the but whatever he said it worked, didn’t it? Because they were now 52 winners. I keep saying every week I’ll be and they’ll pick up before long and they lose every and they’ve been losing every week. Yeah, but that’s a great that’s a terrific result for Hanssworth. Uh then two and Bart nil Tadcaster nil um go draw Richard. Yeah, it was it was a cracking game for a nil nil draw. It was it was worthy of the top two in the league. End to end stuff. Um there wasn’t really many there wasn’t I’d say there wasn’t really any sort of clear-cut chances. a few opportunities, but it was a really it was a really good game. A real good nil nil. And I from a B point of view, a fantastic point cuz uh Tcaster is certainly an impressive side. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, it was a it was like first versus second on on uh on Tuesday night, but we’ll come to the league tables. But yeah, a good result. Nil nil. Well, nil nil. So, it was a point against Telascus. They’ve been going well, haven’t they? Yeah. this season. Uh then Beverly two at Sheffield two. Um four goals there. So that was uh you got your money’s worth for that game. But it was one nil to Sheffield at Halime. Um and the fact they went 2-0 up then two goals from one goal from James P at 70 minute and then in the 90s K Lin got the equalizer by. A good point for Beverly cuz Sheffield again they came they they came down didn’t last season and so did Yeah. Yeah. So that’s a good point for them. They’re just starting to get going again Beverly I think. Yeah. What is they see Harbury when we come to Aubrey they could be see last year in Beverly’s first season they started slow didn’t they and then um they picked up maybe will probably do the same once they get used to the um as as as Jordan said it’s taking your chance at this this level is it I suppose really uh then Frickley nil Lewis edge nil uh and then coming to Aubrey the team we just mentioned Aubrey nil parkgate nil Jordan how How was that one on Tuesday night? Um, not many chances. Um, as you just alluded to in one of your games, um, Richard, I think you said that, Barton. Nothing really that either keeper really needed to do. Their keeper made a pretty decent save with a couple minutes to go. Uh, we thought the ball across the line and all of a sudden just looped onto the bar somehow. So, we thought we’d nicked a last minute winner. Um but Park Gate I think came into the game just were happy with a point. They set up to not press um allow us to have a lot of the ball um but uh be really resilient uh at the back and they did it pretty well to be fair. Um as a our fourth draw now in seven games. Um I can’t I don’t even think we drew four games at all last year. So at the minute we can’t buy a win. Um but that being said, out of the seven if we’ve picked up four draws, um three of them have been away from home, I think. Um so we’re not doing too bad at the minute. We’re struggling to put the ball in the back of the net, but on the other hand, we have kept uh four clean sheets in all competitions so far. So, I guess that’s a positive to take into it that teams find find it difficult um in most games to to put one in the back of our net. So, we’ll take the positives from that and we’ll look ahead of onto Friday. Um I’ve just been looking at a few stats and out of our seven games, we’ve actually played first, second, third, fourth, fifth, seventh, and 10th. So, we’ve actually not played anyone in the bottom half yet. Um, so yeah, we’ve got goalke at the weekend on Friday night. We’re bottom. So probably the first time the bookies will put us as favorites, which is which is a good thing, I guess. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Well, that’s Yeah, as you say, if you’re playing all the teams in the top 10, um, and you played anybody below 10th, yeah, it’s hopefully you’ll be looking to pick up points in the incoming games, you know. That’s that’s good. That’s good. Uh then moving on uh Nesbra four, Penniston two, six goals there. It was NZ up 3-1 up at half at half time and run out 4-2 winners. And then well this is good Rosington won, Galar won. So that’s a good result for Galar um u for for after playing Rosington in the uh cup. So a good a good point for a goal, don’t you think so, Richard? Yeah, very good point because I thought after seeing them at Barton, I thought they’re going to be struggling this season and I’ve remembered the defender I was trying to remember it’s Kai Kairo Lawrence who was back in the side and he make a lot of difference to them. So yeah, it’s a very good point for them and it was a late it was a very late equalizer as well from Rosington in that one. It was Archie Miklweight in the 90th minute. So there’s been a lot of been a lot of 90th minute goals when I’m coming down the you go down the score line. Amaz it’s amazing. Yeah. But I bet I bet go Carol a bit gutted. They probably thought they a great three points because when you’re near the bottom of the league you know it’s every point is precious isn’t it? It’s uh but I think they took a point before they kicked off. So um against Rosington after the FA Cup exploits and then it was one world two champion one um to finish off the Premier League and then we’re moving to division one on Tuesday night. It was Applebe nil nostal miners one. So that’s a good result for uh for Nostto Mines away Applebe Arsley three Oakley Town one uh and D and District two Doncaster City nil. So D and D are doing well in the uh in the division one from where they finished last season haven’t they? Oh, they have actually. Well, I just I saw them in the in the playoff against um Wall and they looked a good team then, you know, so I fanc them to do well this this season. And Doncaster City, I mean um I think they’re coming to terms after moving up. I mean, there was everybody’s favorites, but it’s it’s it’s getting accustomed to this this level of football, I think, even in the division one. Yeah. But we but we play them on Saturday, so I’ll know what they’re like. But we’ll come to that as we do as we do the preview. Um then on the Wednesday night in the Premier League it was Equazil two uh Pickering three. Um that was a good five goals in that game. Pickering was 2-1 up. Then Equazil equalized and then it was another 90th minute goal from Dominic Watson in the 90th minute. So that’s that’s that’s a good result for Pickering away from home echo. Um and Sackley two, Bottisford four. So both our FA Cup teams from Sat from Saturday and Friday and Saturday both won a great win away for Bottisford. They were two on up at Halime and ran out 4-2 winners. So that was um that was a good win for Bottisford. And then Jack McName a very good striker. He’s he’s getting a few goals for Bottisford. Yeah, handful. Yeah, he got two he got the two last goals 63rd and 73rd minute. So yeah, that was a a good win for Bodisford, 4-2. And then just was what just the one game in division one on Wednesday night and that was Winterton nil Wakefield one. Um and that was a Bolton Mcken Mcquenza in the 72nd minute to break Wington’s heart. I mean, yeah, Paul Winston, they are struggling at the moment. Uh, played quite well on Wednesday night. Yeah. Yeah. And I think but s could not confirm, but I think since the new management team’s coming, I don’t think Wakefield’s lost. Um, so so it’s been a a good start for the new management there. Yeah. Uh, then moving on to the fourthcoming fixtures then. Um we’ve got on uh Friday nights we’ve got uh home to no yeah goat home to Hubbury what Jordan just mentioned. Uh and then we’ve got um Pickering at home to uh Wwell on the Friday night and all in division one we’ve got Worsborough versus Brigtown. And then we’ll go on to the Saturday uh in the Premier Division. We’ve got Bersford at home to Albian. Uh Hansworth at home to Beverly. Uh Lewis Edge against Nestown. uh Park Gate against Frickley and then you’re all going to Penniston on on Saturday Richard. Yeah, it’s never a happy hunting. It’s a nice place to go, but it’s never a happy hunting ground for Barton. I think I can remember one draw, but most of them end in defeat. Yeah. Yeah, it should be a good game. Yeah, Penson’s always a hard place to go, is it? as well. Um, nice scenic ground. So, it’s nice it’s nice to see it on a Saturday afternoon rather than a midweek with all those hills around it. Yeah, long as it’s not windy at Pennon cuz if it’s windy, they do get they get every time I played it’s always been a girl force winds gone in the past, you know. So, yeah. Uh, then Rossington at home to Carpion. uh and Sheffield home to Echo Hill and then Tadcaster home on to Thick Facley. Moving to division one, we’ve got Krill to Winterton. Uh Doncaster City playing my team Ghoul. So um so that’s looking forward to that seeing what Doncaster City how they shape up against us. And we’ve got glass and welfare as home to Harriut Railway Ill to La Le on to Athersley Recreation. Maltby home to South Leads. Route One Robers against Durnan District. Uh Selby against Club Thorn. Uh Wakefield versus Armthorp. Uh then just moving on to the midweek games uh next week. Uh Tuesday night we’ve got um Albian Sports on to Pickering. Uh Frickley on home to Nesbra Sheffield at home to Parkgate. Wel to Bottisford. Then division one Applebe Fingham on to La Clubth on to Arthur. And we’re on the Wednesday, we’ve got in the Premier League division, we’ve got Echoil home to Goldkar and division one Brig home to Glass Alton. So, moving on to the the league tables now to see where we are in the leagues. Uh we’ll start with the Premier Division. Um we’ve got Tadcaster in top position number one, eight games, 19 points. Then we’ve got your team, Richard Barton, uh played 15 points. Yeah, it’s good morning. Well, couldn’t be a better start really. Yeah, but I’ve just I’ve been I was looking at before I came on. I looked at you played B played six games at home when only one away, haven’t you? So far. Yeah. Yes. Been quite enjoying just having a short journey every Saturday, but it’s going to change soon. Yeah. Yeah. And also they’re um you’re undefeated as well so far, aren’t you? You’re Yes. Yes, you haven’t lost. So that’s that’s good. But you’ve got but you’ve got quite a few away trips coming up in a forthcoming weeks. I would imagine that’s the table might change a fair bit in the next few weeks. But um but the confidence is up now. So you you never know. No, you never know. You never know. And then third position we’ve got um Lis Edge seven games 14 points. Penniston eight games 14 points. Nesburn six games 11 points and then in sixth position because Pickering’s only played five games 11 points because of the FA Cup exploits but Pickering have undefeated as well and they’ve got the games in hands. So they’re having a really good season league and FA Cup so far. So I bet they one of the probably the best starts they had for a few season pickering and got pal threat don’t they? Oh yeah. And the thing is if Pickering can win the FA Cup game to get into the third qualifying round, that’s when the National League North teams can come in. You know, if they could get a a plum draw like that, you know, that would be that would be really good for them, you know, especially at home. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh then Park in in seven position played eight 11 points and then his hands eight played 11. If we go towards the um uh bottom of the table, we’ve got Alvin Sport, six games, one points. Who would have predicted that before beginning that season? Yeah, I’m amazed. Yeah. And along with goal car played 72 points. Um who would have thought cuz they them two were both chasing near the top last season, weren’t they? Yeah. Yeah. I think there wasn’t a wasn’t a massive amount of ex experience in that goal side I think. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I know they’ve lost a lot of players during the season, haven’t they? Because the management team been there several seasons left, didn’t they? I think some of the a lot of the players left with them as well. So, it’s it’s tough for God, but so long season to go. Yeah. Still got 31 games to play. Yeah. And then we got J Jordan’s team at I think we just lost connection with Jordan at the moment. um in eight in 18th place played seven four points then Echoill U 17th 75 points one well played five six points and Rosington played five six points you see these teams have got behind because I think they’ve had FA Cup replays and so they haven’t played as many games as some of the teams above them you know uh and then we go move on to division one and we’ve got Durn and District at the top of the three uh played nine 21 points. Harriat Railway Athletic second eight games 20 points. Wakefield size Wakefield played nine 16 points. Worsbury Bridge played seven 15 points. Then Clubthornne fifth played six 13 points. South leads sixth played 713 points. Seventh, Crotult 713, and I just carried on with Ghoul. Eighth place, played seven 12 points. So, we’ve come around to the lower end of the table. At the bottom of the table, we’ve got Winterton played eight three points. So, they’ll be hoping their fortunes will improve. Then, Nostill, I mean, it was a good winning week from last week. Played eight, four points. I think it was Applebe frauding them beat. Yeah. Then in 20th it’s Applebeby played 74 points. The last out 19th played 85 points. In 18th place Brig played seven seven points. And in 17th the team we play on Saturday Doncaster City played 8 n points. And in 16th Route One Rover has played 8 n points. Um even even though they got top scoring Zach Khan is it Zach Khn? They’re still they’re in 16th place. So, um that’s how it that’s how it lies at the moment in the table positions. And now, um before we before we uh tie up, we thought we’d go back. We’d bring this back in again. The team of the week. So, just um if we’ve lost the um Jordan’s connection, I’ll go with you first, Richard. Your team of the week. I think I would have to go for Pickering after winning the FA Cup like that. Well, plus they’ve gone and won in the league matches as well, haven’t they? I would have to go pick her in, I think. Yeah. If I was looking elsewhere, I’d probably look at um CL Colts, um Harriet Railway, Wakefield, but I I can’t go away from Pickering. Yeah. No, I I I agree with you. Um it’s um it’s the that’s going to be my choice. I mean, it’s unbelievable that um uh the display to beat to beat a Northern Premier League team, not not just beaten 1 nil, but to score five goals against them. I mean, that’s that some feat. So, yeah, that’s that was a good win. So, they would be my my team of the my team of the week. So, so that’s good. And then, um I’ve just been looking at club attendances. um what that what how how they shap it up as the season goes on, what the average club attendances are and um I’ll just quickly go through it. Uh in the U Premier League, Sheffield at the top um they’re averaging uh 533. In fact, I think they when I look at it, I think they’ve only played one game at home because it’s maximum 533. That’s I just realized that. Oh yes. Hey. So, all right. Beverly second with a 350 average. Uh, fantastic crowds they get. Oh, yeah. Well, they do. Beverly Pennington are third, 262. Uh, Tadcaster fourth with averaging 260. They’re the top of the well, second in the league. Their gates have gone up 28%. which is uh tremendous for the for that tennis up 28%. Um Ga in fifth with their tennis is 250 but their crowds are down 16%. But Pickering again they’ve only played one game at home. That’s right. T Pickering have played five games in the league only one at home. So obviously the one game is 224. So that’s their average. But see, but Pickering are doing well. I think they’re undefeated having having only played one game at home and four away. So, and well up in the league, a that’s good for them. Yeah, it looks like it’s going to be a real good season for them. [Music] That’s it for this edition.
