European captain Luke Donald isn’t fazed. After announcing his six captain’s picks—including Jon Rahm, Shane Lowry, Viktor Hovland, Matt Fitzpatrick, Sepp Straka, and Ludvig Aberg—Donald insists his team will embrace the pressure, the noise, and the challenge of winning on American soil 💪🇪🇺.

Bryson Deambo hasn’t featured in a RDER Cup for four years, but the LIVY golf star is already making his presence felt ahead of this year’s showdown at Beth Paige Black. The Americans face appeared in a promotional video during Luke Donald’s captain’s picks announcement on Monday where Dambo offered a stark warning about the kind of atmosphere team Europe should expect when they step onto US soil. Whatever expectations they have about the fans, they should double it. I don’t think they’re ready for it. the Shambo declared, hinting at the rockous New York crowd that awaits. Donald, who will once again lead Europe, is under no illusions about the challenge ahead. Still, the captain is determined to ensure his squad embraces the hostility and thrives under the pressure. “If you’re prepared and you’re ready, we understand what’s going to happen to us.” Donald said, “It’s our reaction to that that’s really important. We all have fears. We all have anxieties. And Ryder Cups are always pressurized, but these are top athletes. They know how to walk towards that fear. You want to embrace what a Ryder Cup represents. And part of that is embracing the crowd and the atmosphere. These guys will be ready for that. The comments came shortly after Donald revealed the final six names of his 12-man team. Joining Rory Mroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Robert McIntyre, Justin Rose, Raasmus Hodgegard, and Trell Hatton who had already qualified are John Rom, Shane Lowry, Seep Straka, Ludvig Aberg, Victor Havland, and Matt Fitzpatrick. It’s almost a carbon copy of the team that dominated in Rome in 2023. The only change is Nikolai Hodgegard making way for his twin brother Raasmus who will be the sole rookie in Europe’s lineup at Beth Page.
