BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School boys golf team handily defeated local rival Ada in a non-league dual match to commemorate Senior Night on Wednesday, September 3 at the Bluffton Golf Course.
Bluffton improved to 8-7 with the decisive 173-208 match win. The Pirates took the top five individual places to win going away.
Ada fell to 2-2 in dual match play after the loss.
It was Senior Night for the Pirates as they recognized Nick Lovett, Grady Coonfare and Jayden Shaffer.
Senior Lovett fired a round of 40 to earn match medalist honors.
Pirates Ethan Fifer and Gibson Meyer tied for second with a round of 44. Coby Dailey was fourth overall and for the Pirates after posting a 45.
Senior Coonfare was fifth in the 11-player field with a round of 48. Senior Shaffer added a 66.
Junior Brody Rister paced Ada with a nine-hole score of 48. He finished sixth overall.
Bluffton (3-4 NWC) hosts league foe Spencerville in a dual match Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
