Dabby, it’s lovely to meet you, mate. Lovely to meet you, too. Absolute pleasure. I’m kind of in dreamland right now. But um what’s your earliest Arsenal memory? Well, I I would say probably when one of my best friends in Mikuel signed for for Arsenal. Um he’s from the same town as me. He’s is very very close to the family with my middle brother and me. So, uh everybody was really really happy for him. I think my earliest Arsenal memory uh from being at the stadium was when Tony Adams uh hit the left foot half folly. Came from came from defense just came storming forward. Everyone was like what is Tony doing up there? Um and then yeah, we won the league. I think that was night or won the double that year. We’ve made some good signings this summer. Um Zuba Mendy, one of my favorites. Um do you think we’re going to do it? Think we’re going to win the league? Well, we know that we strengthen our squad and we they’re going to be very very big part the key roles for for the success of this club. So, it’s early doors to say, but obviously that’s what we want to do. We want to win everything. So, that’s that’s our aim. Do you think we’re going to we’re going to do it? You have hopes? Yeah. Yeah, I got high hopes for it. I think we’re going to get closer this year without a doubt. So, um bring it home, mate. Come on. Let’s let’s let’s hope so. What’s the most nervous that you felt in your career? Probably when I made my first Spain uh cup. It was my first call up from the national team and from nowhere I just got picked to start. It was in Barcelona with all my people. I had about 60 80 pe eight people people there from from my ends coming to to watch. So I would say that that moment. What about what about you? Any any moments at early doors in your in your career or every first day on set with Atomic? My first day on set was like this crazy stunt. I’m I’m doing all my own stunts nowadays, you know what I mean? So, it’s uh Yeah, it’s good. It’s fun. Have you ever been starruck by anyone you’ve ever met? Um my hero is Casillas. So, I got the chance to meet him last year at the Euros. So, it was like a really really good moment for myself. Obviously, it’s just he just remind me like that young kids that he just met his hero. The sons were asking pictures uh for me and everything. So that was a really really good moment for me to to meet my my my hero basically. What about you? Weirdly a little bit similar. It was a goalkeeper. It was David David Seaman. Yeah, David Seaman when I was a kid. Um I got brought to an Arsenal game here and I got brought back to meet the players afterwards. And um and yeah, I just uh I was I was a child so I got very very shy and just I I’d only met him and so I just gave him a big hug. How do you spend your off season? I mean, when I’m not working, I I go back to LA uh to spend time with my my daughter, my six-year-old. She came over here recently. We watched an Arsenal game together, which was great. But I’ve just been working loads, man. How about you? Well, I had an interesting summer. Oh, yeah. Um, so I got married. Oh, congratulations. Thank you. So, I did my stack do I did my honeymoon and uh I got married. So, it was a really, really interesting summer. It was a interesting summer. Nice. It was a top top summer. One of the best summers of my life. If we switched professions in my dreams, um if we did switch professions, uh how well do you think we would fare? Um have you ever played football? I guess. No, I was a keeper. You a keeper? I was a keeper. So, you would do you will do good then? That’s why I was like, you know, gassed to meet David Sean when I was a kid cuz I was a keeper. Okay. Okay. I I bet you would do better than me at me acting. I I don’t know, mate. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I think we do fairly good both. No, let’s put it that way. I think so. Yeah, we should get something started, mate. Maybe do like a short film together or something. Do you know what I mean? I’m there. Great. Come on. I’m going to hold you to that, mate. in the show that uh I’m promoting at the moment called Atomic. I have uh a a close relationship with this uh character uh JJ played by Shazad Latif and it’s um somewhat of a bromance. Um is there anyone in the Arsenal squad who you’re particularly close with? Yeah, I think uh especially now that we have a few more Spanish players, but obviously the first one was um Mikuel Mourinho where last year we came very very close. Obviously I tried to help him as much as possible. So I would say Marino. So all your career what’s been your favorite one like maybe favorite film, favorite show, favorite favorite thing that I’ve been in that I’ve done. Um, Game of Thrones deos uh was uh was was a big part of um uh you know is basically my 20s. It was uh I’m making myself feel old now. What’s been your your own favorite performance of your career? Uh obviously one of the main things is uh obviously winning the Euros with the Spain as a footballer that giving that much happiness to a whole country. And when we came back to Spain, it was it makes you feel proud of where you come from and what you have achieved as a as a as a footballer, as a as a professional. So, but obviously one of my dreams was to play for Arsenal and and signing for Arsenal. So when I made my my loan deal as a as a signing, it was one of my happiest uh moments as
