It was anxious at the end but Cork held out against a late Dublin barrage to advance to next month’s All-Ireland semi-finals. Patrick Horgan struck 0-10 to equal TJ Reid as the championship’s all-time top scorer on 699 points but his team didn’t register again after the 66th minute. Chris Crummey notched three from the half-back line but Dublin’s late push came up short

there are four changes on the Dublin team including the entire full forward line DK gray comes into the defense but darl Power Mark Rogan and Paul crummy starting the attack let’s take a look at the car curling team now Center back Robert Downey from Den Rovers is out and Kieran Joyce has moved back from Midfield to his traditional Center back role Luke me now joins darl Fitz gibon in the middle of the field Patrick Horan Alan Connelly Brian Hayes are an impressive inside l but further out Dean Dalton Shane Barrett and Sheamus harn are on fire at the moment long ball now aiming for Patrick Haan skips by on the beautiful surface of simple Stadium here in Turles making an angle for himself hitting it over the right shoulder is the one and only Sheamus Haring great score that was a lovely ball Sheamus Hardy ran from the far Wing into space he’s a key man for car lovely score as it comes again to Dublin going on to the attack here trying to make an angle for himself and hitting it over his right shoulder trying to do a shame as harned the Umpire will bend his back and raise the White Flag good score by Sean Curry on this occasion long long Puck out by Patrick Collins putting the pressure on the Dublin defense chasing after it is Shane Barrett what a wonderful Championship season he’s had so far Jin to the right hopping the ball on the ground past the 13 M line here comes Patrick hgan great defending by Dublin wonderful defending inside their own large rectangle and just outside the small box as well a defense splitting move that really had Dublin exposed can they counteract now double and forward slipped as he was coming forward so it’s an easy ball for cor to gather good work by Sha aduno the captain delivering it long again it’s Shane barish given a lot of space and send that over the bar what a passage to play Shan barut flipped across there earlier on went on with it that’s a lovely score by but it was on Donald that came across with a brilliant block on Patrick Horan um you see Patrick haran here cross comes on Donald brilliant block great Advantage by great passage to play Dar Fitz GB cutting to the middle and away he goes again he’s inside the D 20 13 takes the shot uses the short grip on the Harley gets a second point of the game yeah lucky to bra his is so fast look where he came from and there was a goal out look at his coming through here Fitz given CAU it three times got away with it and uh pass over the [Applause] b Sean Brenan looking at his options caught forwards push up on the double and full back line he has to go long well gathered by Tim mahy luk be just bounced off his fingertips D power is working hard laying it back for as Donald Burke let’s fly and the ball is dropping in and bet the p and Over the Bar good score remarkable scoring in this Championship that’s his first in the quarter [Music] F great catch great blck down full credit to Nyo lar comes back out first Sean Curry he’s already scored once he was back pedaling towards the sideline but that is a great score AA Club mat yeah great block down there Nyo L first of all but that’s Sean curry in he’s really on fire in there to start of the game and create an havoc on one-on one balls D Greg up the the first con of bar but intercepting at speed as Shane balance this is an opportunity it’sit Gan to Patrick Horan being deprived space to be able to hit the Slither over the bar but he eventually created for himself and that’s his second point of the game his some play park when they do go forward they just have that Ballz around simple Stadium of creating danger Dean Jolson again the long ball this time Patrick hor comes out to G him he’s out just inside the dou 45 he flings it over his right hand shoulder he just moved away from his man he took a chance there you know take a chance move into space hope the ball breaks here and makes it look easy nicely picked up by Brian Hayes looking around to see who’s available Dar parz well within his range has the talent and has the shooting accuracy as well very good score richly deserved he’s been very impressive certainly has a brain here’s again there with the assist a lovely ball he didn’t panic when he got possession in the middle of the field and I think doublin would be polit how sean Brenan sending it into the space that’s good Ball by the cooler goalkeeper and well taken by Donald Burk this looks better way better and Donald Burke is on fire usually doubling perform that’s the second point of the game unfortunately Chris kumy left it behind him picked up by Luke me he’s going for the score and it’s just a little bit inside the post and over the bar again an elementary mistake easily picked up by Luke M sending it in and just just about curled inside Here Comes Sheamus Hardy now Alan connley is on the 20 M line hovering no need of his Services when you have Patrick haran coming out scoring his fifth point of the game yeah and there’s the two men with the experience combine a lovely simple hland hary to haran over the bear tuck out was a long one again got it by Robie it’s his second touch and that is over the bar now there’s a man that’s out to impress his manager pad Ry two touches two points he’s been dogged with very unfortunate injuries he’s a brilliant brilliant player brilliant athlete and great to see him back against today ball comes back out here’s the shot coming in There’s an opportunity again good work by Tim Mani backs ball all the way one-handed left to fly down towards the left half back PTY door is going out over the sideline playing the game outside the white line even passions have been aroused and referee has blown the full-time whistle carker just got to be very very relieved to get out here uh with the win fulltime score here in central Stadium thus Dublin 21 points cork 26 points cork go through to the all Ireland semi-final what what Dublin need is to play in big meaningful games like today like ler finals to get that experience so I’m really proud of their performance I thought we you know we felt we were right in the game at Halftime probably first five six minutes after halftime cost us because the Gap went out to eight but In fairness to them to a man and everyone that came on played a huge part to get us back in the game and unfortunately and and unlucky not Not to Come Away with something more positive we lost a bit of shape and and look probably made a few a few wrong decisions but looking fairness look I think I think that we knew coming up here today that the doublin performance in the in the ler final wasn’t a true reflection to them and I looked they’ll be disappointed with some of the chances they left behind him as well today and felt probably they could have been closer to us but uh look we move on and um Del to be in ourland semifinal

  1. Come on cork ye can do better than that if ye play like that against limerick they will destroy ye 😊Come on the rebels ❤

  2. TO RTE SPORTS DEP. – Good Stuff.

Cork has an abundance of abilities but is self-indulgent.
The Limerick Management team staff are in a class of their own as tacticians.

  3. As a Dublin supporter this is as good as it gets. A quarter-final appearance and a single digit defeat. Cork as with other top tier teams don't need to be over 70% their best to beat Dublin in a big match.
Cork knew they would win this which explains their own flat performance. The real Cork will show up vs Limerick next day.
