Flop Shot Made Simple #golf #golfswing
So, the first thing we’re going to do is open the club face. This is going to create more loft and it’s also going to expose some of the bounce for us. Second thing we’re going to do, we’re going to just lower the handle, step a little further away than you normally would, and just create a slightly wider stance. Now, when it comes to playing these shots, well, you need to be able to use the wrists. So, we’re going to have a fairly long swing because we need the speed. We’re going to set the wrists on the way back, but this is the key thing. We’re going to make sure that we release that club relatively fast so we can get the club shaft vertical really quickly. The quicker we can get that club working more this way, the easier it is to use the bounce and the easier it is to keep the loft on the club face. I like to make sure when I do this shot, I release it and catch the club as quickly as possible. So, the ball should go quite high here and then just stop really quickly. Just make sure you commit with plenty of speed. And there you go.

I never have the confidence to create enough speed. I end up flopping it like 5 feet in front of me
