WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Abilene Christian women’s golf tied for seventh place following the first two rounds of the Boilermaker Classic at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on Monday. The Wildcats were powered by the efforts of Ryann Honea, who shot even-par 144 to tie for sixth place individually.

ACU carded a 7-over 295 in the opening round before scoring an 18-over 306 in the second round to total 25-over 601. Ole Miss leads the 15-team field at 2-over 578, while Ball State stands ahead of the Wildcats in sixth place at 19-over 595. ACU is matched with Iowa on the leaderboard.

The Wildcats shot second-best in the field on par 5s at 1-under and tied for fourth-best on par 3s at 4-over. They ranked sixth on par 4s, firing a 21-over, and registered the fourth-fewest bogeys.

Honea carded a 1-over 73 in the first round on the Kampen-Cosler Course with a pair of birdies. She bounced back in the second round with a 1-under 71, featuring a 3-under 33 effort on the front nine. Honea totaled six birdies and tied to shoot fifth-best on par 4s at 1-under. She tied for 10th on par 5s at 1-under.

Maddi Kamas followed in a draw for 27th place at 6-over 150 in her first action as a Wildcat. The Oklahoma City transfer logged an even-par 72 in the first round before registering a 6-over 78 in the second. Kamas tied for the best performance in the field on par 3s at 3-under.

In her fifth collegiate tournament, Jasmine Do rose 15 spots from the first round to the second in a tie for 38th place at 9-over 153. She followed a 6-over 78 in the first round with a 3-over 75 in the second. Like Kamas, Do recorded five birdies. She ranked third on par 5s at 3-under.

Kate Pickrell rounded out ACU’s lineup tied for 49th at 10-over 154. She shot even-par in the first round but regressed at 10-over 82 in the next round.

The Wildcats close out the Boilermaker Classic on Tuesday morning with an 8 a.m. CT shotgun start.
