Are these the best 2 golf courses in Washington?
Come with us as we continue our trip to Gamble Sands, the number one course in Washington. Hopefully you saw our first video of this trip where we played Cordelane Resort Golf Course. If not, go check it out here. If you have, keep watching. You’re not going to want to miss this. There’s two amazing courses out here in Brewster, Washington. You got Gamble Sands, the OG course, and then you got Scarecrow, the brand new course that just opened up this year. All right, boys, on the way to Brewster. First thing we do before we um get back to our spot, make a little Walmart run. The best donuts you can find, the Walmart powder, baby. Why are those so good? So good. They’re just moist. It’s always Do we need a 16 pack? You grabbing the 16er? Let’s just grab the normal. Talking about this 48. Okay. Best Cheetos on the market right here. Spicy sweet chili baby. Yeah, that’s top one. Broke half the chips. Do you like the green? The greens are the best. No, no, no. We have about a 2hour drive. 2our 15minute drive and then we have a tea time at 3:30. So, we’re really hoping it’s not going to rain. There’s like a 25% chance. Yes. That’s crazy. We got open here. Wow. It’s chilly in here. Just how low it is. Massive. That’s plenty of space for a You don’t need it. Wow. All right. We’re out here at Gamble Sands. We’re playing a preliminary round. We’re playing uh today just to get a taste and then we’re playing tomorrow um in the morning and then we’re playing Scarecrow, the new course. Oh my gosh. Now, what do you think about front nine at Gamble Sands? Awesome. Super sick. Insane views. Like you have overlooking the valley and then you have kind of these mountains kind of scattered across. One of the more unique courses that we’ve played. Yeah, definitely plays to the terrain. 138 I think is what? Yeah. Wow. That’s three Peters. Wow. Here’s my one takeaway from this course. It is a lot more forgiving than I imagined. I hit a lot of balls that I thought were going to be gone and it’s just sand areas that you’re able to find it. There still are a lot that like if you hit it to the side with your drive, you’re going to be in trouble. But I feel like the waist areas are plentiful and you can find your balls. Waist areas are need I there was one hole where I played the whole hole in a waist area. One shot, two shots, three shots. Finally got on the green putt for bogey. You can’t see it right now, but like this whole area is just waste area. Yeah, you can see it on the There’s a lot of holes that have bunkers, waste areas lining the whole entire hole. I think the one of the cooler parts about this course is just how it plays into the topography of the landscape here. Um, and it just looks so honestly just looks so natural. We are up here on hole 18 at Golden Hour. This is probably I don’t know. I would assume it’s the best time to come play the course. So keep that in mind for when you come out here. Pretty sick view on 18. Great first practice. Cameron’s eager beaver. You’re not so catch. It’s the leaning tower of pizza. That’s awesome. All right, gentlemen. Thank you. There you go. Appreciate you. Just knock it down. Wow. Look at that. Look at that, bro. That’s money. All right, post round debrief from Gamble Sands. What’s your accomplishment, Bo? I shot a 90. I wanted to break 90 with a birdie putt at the end and barely missed. But this is the first round of golf I’ve ever played where I played this ball the entire round. Let’s go. It was pretty good. Let’s go. I bought two dozen balls for this course, too. So, pretty good. I love it. I love this course. That’s so fun. Uh, as for me and Noah. Accomplishments. Well, a disappointing back night. Got to enter it into the gin because my handicap’s going up up. Let’s go. It’s frustrating though. I feel like on on pays for a personal vest. 37 on the front. 37 on the front, 47 on the back. Just monumental f up to be honest. Meltdown. Meltdown on the back. Just terrible. Left with an 84. I’m like I think that’s what I guessed. What did I guess in the beginning? I think I might have guessed 84. I’m going to guess 83. had had way too many birdie opportunities and way too many triples on the I have three triples on the back. Six. We got a little bit of time before playing the scarecrow. So, we are going inside the barn to get some lunch. Is it a good slider? Well, I’m cyber scared. Me, too. I’m depressed that we have one course. Go have fun. It’s It’s a blast. I will be interested to see how you guys feel about how it’s different than than the other one. And uh yeah, it’s a good time. There’s a lot of fun shots. Sweet. Opening opening hole, pot bunker in the middle. And that’s your line. Try to hit it over it. Okay. There’s a little bit of room out to the right. If you do flare it um left into those bunkers is bad news. But when it gets over the pot bunker in the middle, go straight down to the green. A lot of people drive it down within 40 yards. you know, sounds like something I would do, you know, and then it’s a then it’s a fun pitch shot because these opening two holes have this kind of bara area on the left hand side that causes some trouble. Fun. Yeah. Have a good time. Sweet. Thank you. You should be good to go. There’s a shot. Nice. out here at Scarecrow. What hole is this? Five. Five maybe. Hole five. Uh, so far so good. Wish I was playing better. Uh, this course is really scenic just like Gamble is. See there behind me. Um, course is tricky. It’s not necessarily easy, especially with the pin placements that they have. Uh, for us today, if you’re off on a certain spot on the green, you’re you’re rolling away from the pin. So, you got to be super precise. What a place for my first hole in one. shot. That’s good. See the numbers? [Music] Oh, it’s rolling. I can’t see anything. It’s rolling, bro. I think it’s in. Are you serious? Are you serious? It disappeared. I don’t know. It disappeared. I can’t see anything. Am I going up to the Does anybody have a rangefinder? Are you joking? It’s record. I’m not joking. It disappeared. I think it might be in. We have to go. I think it might be in. Let me zoom. Oh, I think it might be in. And I have to run. It might be in. I don’t see a ball. I don’t either. Oh I see no ball. I don’t see a ball. I don’t see it. I don’t see it. Is it in? There’s not a hole on the green. Is it in? We got a hole in one hop right here. Is it in? We don’t see a ball. Is it in? We don’t see a ball. Is it? We don’t see a ball. How do you hit the green? Oh my god. Let’s go. Let’s go. No way. No kidding me. Let’s go. No way. Oh my gosh. Pick it up. Yes. Unreal. Let’s freaking go, Bo. Oh my gosh. I’m so pissed. You’re going before me. Let’s go. I’m literally the sickest hole. This is so sick. I just got a hole in one, boys. Let’s freaking go. B. Oh my gosh. Holy is we were recording too. Boy, this give me a high guys up, brother. Bro, let’s freaking go. No way. So sick. That is unreal. I was like, I don’t see it anymore. Back to go. It rolled straight in, bro. Oh my gosh. Remember, I just hit a hole in one. This is uh that is like as cool as it gets. I think that I might I am probably the first ever hole-in-one at Scarecrow. Uh we have it recorded which is sick. I am like I’m kind of like shaking. I don’t know. My gosh, this is so sick. Look at that view. Unreal. I’m like so jazzed right now. This is one of the coolest days of my life. I cannot believe it. Just flushed a nine iron. Golly. So good. So stoked right now. What a day. Even close. Yeah, bro. First hole in one. First we just first ever hole in one on Scarecrow. Bo Jordan 17 and a half handicap. Unreal. Yep. Scarecrow hole 18. Um I did get a hole in one. I knew you’d say that first. And that has been the story of Scarecrow. Story of the round. So, we haven’t updated as much because we’ve been high off of that. Back nine of this course is really really good. We said the back nine of scarecrow is better than the back nine of gamble. Front nine of gamble is better than the back front nine of scarecrow for sure. So, the the back nine here is unbelievable. And we’re playing we’re playing like the twilight round. So, we’re starting to see the sun go down. It’s really cool. My favorite part of it too is it’s such a good mix. Like I wasn’t worried, but I thought maybe Gamble would be like the same course as Scarecrow just because same terrain, it’s right next door. Um, but it has felt like two different courses. Very different. Yeah, I feel like Scarecrow, I don’t know, at least in my opinion, is a little bit trickier. Like there’s some more nuances to it, more undulation. A lot more undulation and hills. Gamble, I will say, is a little bit more forgiving because you don’t have any of like any of this goalies. You don’t have any goalies. You don’t have any like true OB. You can still lose your ball in some in some rough and some bushes and stuff, but there’s balls if you hit it bad enough that are gone. You miss Scarecrow and you just better tea up another one. Yeah. That wraps up our trip out at Gamble Sands. It was one of our favorite trips of the year, hands down. You’ve got two top tier courses right next to each other on the same property, and they’re unique in their own separate ways. Next up, we’ve got Sentry World. Both courses are built on stunning land in Brewster, WA, but they each bring something totally unique to the table.
