Zebroski finished second on the day, shooting a 79. Addison Longie (Fy., Hutchinson, Minn.) followed closely behind, shooting an 80 on Day 2 of the CSB Invitational, including playing nine holes to +1 from hole four to hole 12. Lauren Hubbart (Sr., Hastings, Minn.) rounded out the scorers today, finishing with an 82. Emily Kolb (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) shot an 87 today to round out the tournament for the ‘A’ team.

“I had a blast this weekend with the team for my first college tournament” said Wahlstrand. “I was pretty nervous my first nine holes and finished OK yesterday. Today I struggled through three holes but was very happy how I finished the last 15 holes one over. Excited for next weekend on my home course in Eau Claire.”

Shooting +39 today, the ‘B’ team carded seven birdies on Day 2, four better than on Day 1 of the tournament. Layla Mathews (Fy., Becker, Minn.) finished her first collegiate meet in 16th place, shooting a +18 over the two days and a 79 today. Piepkorn finished second on the day, carding an 81, including the low nine-hole score of the day, a 38 on the front nine. Josie Raiche (Jr., Orono, Minn.) shot an 82, eight shots better than Day 1. Mary Kate Hewitt (Jr., Edina, Minn.) shot an 85, which included a 39 on the front nine, to finish 28th in the event individually. First-year Sydney Lovick (Woodbury, Minn.) rounded out the Gustie competitors, shooting an 86 today.

Head Coach Scott Moe also had remarks about the tournament and the depth of his team going into the year: “Great start to the year. Really awesome to see how our depth is going to come into play this year. We had some great play by freshman, and Riley starting the year off from the top five finish was fantastic. Josie fired a personal best on our second team as well. Third place in that field was a really good finish for the team. It’s nice to be competing after going through our preseason qualifying. Now we will have a good stretch of tournament golf, and I feel really good about this group of players moving forward”.

The women’s golf team is back in action on September 6th and 7th when they travel to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to compete in the Eau Claire Invitational at Lake Wissota and Eau Claire Country Club.
