A day after social media lit up with speculation about his whereabouts and his health, President Donald Trump was spotted playing golf Saturday with two of his grandchildren.

Trump left the White House around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday and arrived at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., around a half-hour later, USA Today reported, citing pool reports.

Two of Trump’s grandchildren, 18-year-old Kai and 12-year-old Spencer, were also spotted with him, the newspaper reported.

The Republican president had not appeared in public since his marathon three-plus-hour Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, but he conducted an hour-long interview with a conservative media outlet on Friday.

On Friday, several people posting to X noted the usually high-profile Trump’s absence from the public stage.

“Trump has not been seen publicly since his cabinet meeting on Tuesday,” journalist Aaron Rupar noted on X, as he shared a post remarking on the president’s wide-open Labor Day weekend public schedule.

On Friday, the president took to Truth Social to assure his supporters that his tariffs, which had been struck down by a federal appeals court, were still in effect.

To wit:

“ALL TARIFFS ARE STILL IN EFFECT! Today a Highly Partisan Appeals Court incorrectly said that our Tariffs should be removed, but they know the United States of America will win in the end. If these Tariffs ever went away, it would be a total disaster for the Country. It would make us financially weak, and we have to be strong,” Trump wrote.

Remarks by Vice President JD Vance added to the situation, with Trump’s No. 2 saying that he was ready to step in for Trump if something happened.
