Malaysia Final GUO JIAO 国窖1573 at Forest City Golf Resort #Golf

Hi guys, it has been a while. Welcome back to the channel. We have exclusive six holes highlights of me playing one of the most prestigious uh event in Malaysia, the 1573 Bio event held in Forest City. This is the last six holes of my tournament. Hopefully you guys enjoy the last six holes content here. Just to let you know, this one is the grand final where top three finisher of the event will be representing Malaysia to play in the world final which will be held at Thailand Paya in a month soon. So currently I’m I’m just uh having one body on the scorecard and I needed some uh spark on the remaining six holes to have a chance to qualify here. If you are new here, do remember to subscribe to our channel. Uh like and subscribe if you are a follower of mine. I really hope you enjoy the intense six holes left here where I think the camera will actually spark me up to play better. So we are left with probably about 230 plusish to the green here. It’s a relatively short path where I can reach into with my forward here. A new secret weapon added into my back as I’m aging into my 30s now. So hybrid won’t be a option for me to reach the green. In fact, uh it was on the green for a second and it bounces off the green here. So I will have this uh third shot chip here to put it close to secure my uh second body of the day. I have about 18 pace to the green here. uh chosen a 56 here and try to play a soft kind of uh chip in. It’s a right to left uh bit of angulation there. Try to put this close so there are no need to do so much of a work for my body part. It started where I’m aiming at but then again the slope actually triggers the ball further left here. So I got a bit of work to do here to secure my birdie here. While waiting for my flight mate to convert their parts, I’m just trying to refocus, reset and telling myself uh it’s a important part here I needed to make. So took a bit of time. I mean everyone has their 45 seconds turn. So and this is it a crucial one as I have missed I think two within this range early in the session here. So yeah secure myself on my first hole while filming. So definitely camera will do spark me up a bit uh because I know everyone is watching here. Off to the next hole. It’s relatively short path for I think it’s about 320 m here. Just have to put myself on the fairway. Uh to cross the bunker itself, I think it’s about 230. Not a very solid drive, but I will take that. Uh it should clear the bunker without any hesitation there. And uh my approach shot here, I’m left with about 100ish. Cannot remember, but it’s less than 110. Uh more than 100. I’m using a 52 here. It’s one of my most comfortable uh clubs in the back. So, pick a target. Uh I tend to pull my iron, so we’ll be aiming a bit to the right here. and the ball just went to the left. Uh consider a pin high position. Uh until I reach the green only I realize there is a slope that is uh segregated from the pin. So I have this for my body here. Left to right uphill uphill part here. Is it left to right? It should be. As you all know, Forest City has very slow greens. Probably playing about 7.5 to eight only uh all year round, which I’m not a fan of. I love fast green uh fast pace green. This is just too slow where I have to knock it it uh sorry it’s not left to right it’s a right to left uh parts. So pull that part uh just settle for power here. Okay we are playing system 36 uh handicap modified I think. So we need to spot as many body as possible for us to be on the top of the podium here. and they are capping it at four under with lower handicap have the priority in the OCB kind. So I have two buddies here today. I needed two more to actually put myself in a very comfortable position. We are on our third firming hole here. 340 m power for right hand side water. What I could do here is just aim straight and hope for fade here. I mean, having this driver in in my bag, uh, bro, I I dare not to go right. I’ve been hitting draws most of the time, but then so I have been hitting draws and paid uh both both option with this driver. So, I’m left with about 110, I think, here. 110. I’m using a 52 here. Trying to go with a full 100% shot here. Oh, because the pin is located at the back of the green. From far, I thought I had a tap in birdie here. Uh eventually uh still have about 6 ft I think to convert the body part mark. I mark that first uh while waiting for all my flight mem to come over. It’s pretty straightforward part here. Uh a bit of left. So I’m taking a left in for this part. It will be crucial because if I put this in, I will be in a more comfortable state here. Waiting for body and to go two under after three holes. I mean in front of the camera now. Okay, another bird in the boat. I need to look. So I have three birds like what Alex have uh mentioned. So off to my final final third hole. Our first hole. I think this is the first hole. Forest city. Right hand side OB, left hand side OB as well. I have a bit of trauma here because I I had a OB uh last year in the Perua World uh grand final here where I had a six. So this time being uh smarter, I aim a bit to the left. I know I’m going to hit it uh chances of me hitting to the left is higher. So I just went for a straighter shot here. Okay, I have about 161 m here. contemplating whether to use a seven or eight. Uh because I might catch a flyer here. So proceed with a eight here. I hit it left again to the extent I think I hit it a bit too short here. Eight wasn’t enough and wasn’t the right choice. I have about close to a 20 m chip here with a 56. I will take that. just have to work my way to secure another par here. I mean par relatively it’s not so it’s not so important anymore because uh par doesn’t really generate any points to you. Uh you needed the body but then since it’s a tournament here we’ll just have to part it out. Uh this is for park to remain at two under cameras. Nice. Nice. So moving on to our second last hole. It’s uh 340 par 4. Left is water. Right is hazard as well. It’s a quite a narrow uh fairway here. In fact, they have actually chosen this hole as the LD hole which I don’t really care for now because I wanted uh birdies only. So I was aiming towards a bunker on the middle side here and then as you can see I pulled that. so bad. But somehow my wife faded faded back slightly. Everyone was was saying, “Oh no, it’s in the water or whe it should be on the rock.” But instead, it clears everything and I’m on the fairway. As you can see, left hand side, left hand side, my friend Johan, it’s the furthest in terms of LD here. We had a bit of a headwind. So, doesn’t matter. It’s just two. I’m not sure how they counted, but my drive only stated uh 23 238 236 or 238. So I have about 100 in 100 in with a bit of uh wind on top. So I had a perfect perfect 52 here. Uh, bro, Alex was trying to get his name into the list. Yeah, which he got third in LD and I got second. But regardless, uh, this is a full full shot in 52. I can tell you I actually hit this pretty pretty solid here and it landed probably about 7 ft left of the pin. Eventually, uh, it came down the hill. It spun back. So, I was like, “Oh my god, I should have a, you know, a good clear chance for another body here.” But now I’m chipping trying to save par here. As you can see, I’m fixing my divot on top of the green here. It’s a severe left to right. I think I’m I took a 52 here. Trying to play a bum bum bum and run kind. I mean, I have chosen bum and run because I know I have the tendency to put this one into the hole. Uh higher chances for me to to do that with a 52 than a 60° wedge. So, to make things uh easy, I just need to secure this formality part here. Okay. So, moving on to our last hole here. I still needed one more body to secure at least a four under uh where I have a chance to actually be in the podium side. There are 20 of us are single low handicapper here playing on this uh grand final itself. So birdie is definitely a crucial one. Uh P five right hand side all the way is water. Uh left side the bunker is to catch you if you’re hitting it about 235 onwards. The bunker will be there to welcome you. So I hit that miserable drive. Let the club out. So in the bunker I have no chance to attack. I just got to be smart. Took out a six iron here. Trying to put it in in place. Back in position so I can have a final shot in to try for bird. Hit that very solid. Okay. Okay. So this is for all the hater here. I do clean up my my bunker shot and also all the diverting on the fairway. This is a nine iron from 125 with a bit of headwind here and pretty decent. I think I can finish up with a bird here. Although I miss my birthday but I’m proud to say I will be representing Malaysia to play in the world final at Pataya in a month time. Meanwhile also securing NTL, NTP and even LD for that I will see you on the next one. See you then. JJ 5 in 8 How will she meet? Here settings. JJ, you score 69 OC.
