Great day out. 2 ball ambrose comp. Every hole had at least 2 gimmicks, usually off the tee and on the green.
Apart from the set ups in the pics, some of the others were:
False flags, where the hole was on the opposite side of the green to the flag
Cups cut on an angle so half the hole was out of the ground
Tees where the markers were on the side or front of the teebox on a steep slope.
Sprinklers with a hose laid across the green.
Ended up 3rd shooting 69 net (78 gross)

The green with all the tee box markers would be like mini golf!
The favorite at my club is they get a couple caddies to sit just a littleeeeee too close to you on one of the teeboxes and heckle you the whole time you tee off. And they dont hold back! Made fun of my hairline 🙁 lmaoo

A local course by me is having one of these and I could not get a group together to join. To me this seems like an absolute blast to not worry about score and just laugh at the gimmicks.

I used to play in a similar event every year at a local course, but they stopped doing it after management changed. I love these types of events.

Our course does a par 3 day, where they turn every hole into a par 3, but you hit from made up tee boxes that are all over the place. So sometimes you’ll be hitting a blind shot from the 4th teebox into the 15th green over some water and trees. It’s incredible.
