Tommy Fleetwood’s wife Clare Fleetwood has been with the golfer through all the heartbreaking moments of trying to notch his first PGA Tour victory. Tommy has a chance to finally end this drought as the golfer heads into the final round of the Tour Championship as the favorite.
One of these recent frustrating moments came at the Travelers Championship where a late comeback from Keegan Bradley once again put Tommy in the runner-up position, just one stroke back.
The PGA Tour shared a video of Tommy’s wife and family comforting the golfer after the heartbreaking loss.

Tommy Fleetwood Shares a Nearly 23-Year Age Difference With Wife Clare Fleetwood
The couple met professionally as Clare represented Tommy as his agent. Clare initially ruled out dating the now 34-year-old golfer because of the nearly 23-year age gap between the two.
“We’ve got a 23-year age difference,” Clare noted during a 2023 interview on the “Performance People” podcast, per Express. “Of course, I turned him down. I was like, ‘Don’t be stupid.’”

Tommy and Clare have one son together named Franklin. Clare also has two kids from a previous relationship who Tommy has also been close with throughout the couple’s marriage.
Heading into the final round of the Tour Championship, Tommy is leaning on some advice the golfer gives the kids on the golf course.
“I’ve caddied for my kids, and I know what I would say to them, and I think it’s all about being very clear with what you’re doing, having a great attitude, having a great frame of mind, make sure I’m telling myself all the right things and just commit to those things,” Tommy told reporters on August 23, 2025, heading into the final round of the Tour Championship.
“Like I just said, there’s only 30 players this week. It could be 100, 150, whatever it is tees Sunday and in contention. That’s what everybody wants.”
Tommy Fleetwood Considered Hiring Another Agent But Ultimately Opted for His Wife Clare to Keep the Position
Once things turned romantic between the golfer and Clare, the couple considered ending their professional relationship. As Tommy considered other options as agents, the couple ultimately decided that Clare should continue to represent him on the PGA Tour.
“We planned to keep our life and our work separate, for me to find another agent,” Tommy told The Sunday Times’ Julia Llewellyn Smith during a January 30, 2025, feature titled, “The 22-year age gap? We’re pioneers.” “But it became more apparent I wasn’t going to find anybody I’d trust as much because, after all, Clare is a very, very, very good agent by trade; it wasn’t like she was my wife just helping the family out.
“So in the end we thought, ‘We’ll just give it a go, but we will never let anything get in the way of our relationship,’ and it’s just always worked perfectly.”
Tommy is hoping to soon be celebrating his first win with Clare on the 18th hole. If things go as planned, it just may be a Tour Championship win at East Lake.
