The Blue & White Knights have teamed up with Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey to host a special golf day next month.

Players, coaches and supporters will take to the green at Ulverston Golf Course on Thursday 18 September.

This year, the Knights are working with golfer Robbie Spence and Barrow Raiders data analyst John Flynn.

The event is all about bringing the community together while raising vital funds for the club’s 2026 budget.

Event details

There will be tee times running from 9:40am to 12:30pm.

Players will start the day with a bacon bun and coffee on arrival.

Prizes, a raffle and presentations will take place at 5pm.

Entry is £40 per person or £160 per team of four, and every penny raised will go towards helping the Raiders continue to compete at the highest level.

Who is taking part?

Eight of the Barrow Raiders players will be showing off their skills with a golf club.

Ryan King and Finn McMillan have both entered teams in the event.

The Knights have also been approached by the Oldham coach and ex-St Helens player Sean Long, who will be bringing a team on the day.

The Blue & White Knights have teamed up with head coach Paul Crarey throughout the last three years.

In previous seasons, the Knights have supported the signings of Aaron Smith, Tom Walker and Ryan King, ensuring the club could bring in the right talent to strengthen the squad.

So far this year, the Knights have raised £68,000.

Jamie Lindsay from the Blue & White Knights said: “We set out to support the club after we were approached by Paul Crarey, now the record-breaking coach of Barrow RL with 350 games under his belt.

“Paul wanted to strengthen the playing budget, and we were keen to help because we love the game and want Barrow RL to thrive. We’re not in this for profit – we’re here because we care about the club.

“Some of us were even coached by Paul back in the day, and we respect everything he’s done for Barrow RL. We want to see the club competitive and succeeding at the highest level.”

Limited playing spots are still available, and there are also opportunities for your business to sponsor the upcoming fundraiser.
