In the final round of the 2025 BMW Championship, Scottie Scheffler chips in on the par-3 17th hole to make birdie and take a two-shot lead with a hole left to play.

The PGA TOUR’s BMW Championship returns to Caves Valley Golf Club, where the TOUR’s best will see an extensively renovated layout. Scottie Scheffler continues to lead the way in the FedExCup standings and padded his position on top after finishing T3 in Memphis, Scheffler’s 14th top-10 finish in 17 events so far in 2025. Rory McIlroy, currently ranked No. 2 in the standings, returns to action for his first start of the 2025 FedExCup Playoffs. Joining them is Justin Rose who is looking to go back-to-back in the FedExCup Playoffs after his impressive playoff win over J.J. Spaun in Memphis. Other players to watch competing in Maryland include Ludvig Åberg, Xander Schauffele, Viktor Hovland, and Justin Thomas. Ryder Cup U.S. Team Captain Keegan Bradley will have a close eye on the field while he competes, as this is also the final week for hopefuls to try to automatically qualify for the U.S. Team to compete in the Ryder Cup this September, with the top six in the points standings after the BMW Championship automatically on the squad.

He has reached prime Tiger level golf. Any time Tiger came into a final round with even a chance of catching the leader, you just knew and so did everyone else, including whoever was leading, that Tiger was coming for you. This chip was other worldly , rivaling if not exceeding Tiger's chip in at the Masters on number 16. There's a new sheriff in town.

I agree he is boring. The swing is hilarious but otherwise he is right up there with Cantlay, Cameron Young and Louis Oosthuizen. Scottie will be the first to admit he didn’t win the tournament—Macintyre lost it. Mac pooped the bed big time. Scottie missed 6 putts inside 6 feet and even without the chip-in on 17 he goes to 18 one shot up and the way Macintyre is playing its all over—a slam dunk. Scottie is terrific but he has something even better: He is lucky.
Tiger did it
I jumped up off the couch and yelled YES
That was not a lucky shot. It was skill. The ball was going to finish near the hole if it didn't go in. Scottie had it dialed in perfectly. And I like how Scottie controlled himself. After the shot, all he did was give a simple 'thumbs up.' There was no fist pumping, club throwing, dancing around, or acting crazy. He walked to the hole and retrieved his ball. That was all. Scottie is a true professional.
Can you imagine how close the comparison to TW would be if he just figured his putting out a little bit earlier 😅

I was on the 18 at the time and the roar of the crowd on 17 was deafening. One of the all time greatest shots. Scottie is just amazing.
