Plenty of local eateries are ready to welcome fans of the LIV Golf tournament at Plymouth’s Saint John Resort.LIV Golf dining options include the vibrant downtown’s of Northville and Plymouth.
LIV Golf is making its Michigan debut with its final tournament of the 2025 season at the Cardinal course at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth Township and local restaurants are teed up.
While the resort’s onsite Five Steakhouse and the Wine Grotto will be open only to the tournament players, ticketholders will be able to visit Doyle’s Irish Pub, and there will be concessions and bars on the grounds.
But there are plenty of local eateries nearby and mere minutes away. If you look at a map, Saint John’s Resort is about in the middle between downtown Plymouth and Northville.
Both cities have a downtown area with a variety of restaurants offering cuisine from casual to upscale. In downtown Plymouth, there are restaurants on the main street and off on side streets with plenty of outdoor dining options.
Sam Khashan, owner of Sean O’Callaghans in downtown Plymouth, said he’s planning for the tournament by showing it on TV and featuring drink specials that include the Arnold Palmer and Guinness.
Downtown Northville is braced and ready for the golf attendees. At 5 p.m. Saturday, the ballards on Main Street will be pulled up and the street will be pedestrian-only.
“We are fully prepared and our merchants are anticipating a happy and exuberant golf crowd,” said Kate Knight, executive director of the Northville Downtown Development Authority.
Here’s a sampling of places within several miles of Saint John’s Resort and The Cardinal golf course. More restaurants are listed at the Plymouth’s Downtown Development Authority and the Northville Downtown Development Authority websites.
