TGL will return for a second season this December, with Atlanta Drive GC taking on New York GC in a rematch of last season’s final.

The high-tech indoor competition will once again be held at the SoFi Center in Florida, and the league has been boosted by the addition of a seventh team.

Motor City GC will compete for Detroit in season two, although their four-player line-up has not yet been confirmed by TGL organisers.

Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods spearheaded the inaugural season of TGL earlier this year, after a 12-month suspension due to the stadium roof caving in, and it is hoped that Woods will be fit enough to compete in the second campaign.

Woods skippered Jupiter Links Golf Club in season one while McIlroy was the captain of Boston Common Golf, but both of their sides finished out of the top four and thus they missed out on the semi-finals.

Atlanta Drive GC’s Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover were crowned champions as they inspired a thrilling win in last season’s final in front of a celebrity-studded audience in Palm Beach Gardens.

A pair of one-point victories secured the title against New York, whose team included Xander Schauffele, Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler and Cameron Young.

Atlanta and New York will now renew their rivalry in the opening clash of season two on Sunday 28 December at 8pm (GMT), with Sky Sports once again broadcasting the TGL live in the UK and Ireland.

Los Angeles Golf Club and The Bay GC will also return to the league, which is expected to further expand again for the 2027 season.
