MALIBU, Calif. — Playing a competitive slate of tournaments against some of the nation’s top programs, the Pepperdine men’s golf team released its full 2025-26 schedule Wednesday.
The Waves will play four tournaments in the fall before embarking on a challenging championship schedule of eight events ramping up to the postseason. Players from this year’s roster have played at eight of the tournaments in the past, giving the team ample opportunity to improve on familiar courses.
The fall season begins at the Sahalee Players Invitational — a common season opener in recent years — held from Sept. 6-7 at the Sahalee Country Club. Last year at this event, the Waves placed fourth and two individuals placed in the top 25. From there, the team heads east for The Invitational at the Honors, hosted by Chattanooga and the University of Tennessee in Ooletewah, Tenn., from Sept. 15-16. This will be Pepperdine’s first time competing at the event.
Pepperdine’s fall season concludes with the Ben Hogan Collegiate, held in Fort Worth, Texas, from Sept. 29-30 and the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, which takes place from Oct. 24-26 in Alpharetta, Ga.
Championship season kicks off at Pepperdine’s home event: The 47th annual Southwestern Intercollegiate. The Waves’ lone home tournament of the schedule will be held at the North Ranch Country Club from Jan. 26-28. More information about the Southwestern Intercollegiate will be available at a later date.
From there, Pepperdine heads to Hawai’i for the Amer Ari Invitational on Feb. 5-7. After nearly one month away from competition, Pepperdine will return to action at the Southern Highlands Collegiate, held at the Southern Highlands Golf Club from March 1-3. March wraps up with the University of California’s Desimone Invitational on March 9-10, then the Valspar Intercollegiate Invitational, held at the Floridian Yacht and Golf Club in Palm City, Fla., from March 23-24.
Pepperdine’s penultimate regular-season tournament is the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational, held at the Forest Hills Golf Club from April 4-5. This will be Pepperdine’s first appearance at the tournament since the Waves’ 2021 national championship-winning season.
Regular season wraps up at the 79th annual Western Intercollegiate, held at the Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif., from April 13-15. One of the most prestigious collegiate golf tournaments in the nation, the 79th Western Intercollegiate will be broadcasted on the Golf Channel, giving the Waves an opportunity to shine on live television. At this event last year, Pepperdine placed third as a team while Mahanth Chirravuri and Brady Siravo finished in the top 15.
Postseason play begins at the West Coast Conference Championships, where Pepperdine aims to defend its team title and have a Wave win the individual title for the third consecutive year. Once again, WCCs will take place at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif., from May 1-3.
Postseason play begins at the NCAA Regionals from May 18-20. This year’s sites include: Athens, Ga.; Bermuda Run, N.C.; Bryan, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; Corvallis, Ore.; or Marana, Ariz. The top five teams from each region and the top individual not from an advancing team will punch their tickets to the NCAA Men’s Golf Championships, which will be held at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., from May 29 to June 3.
Head coach Michael Beard’s squad looks to improve on its 12th-place finish at the NCAA Championships from a year ago. Consensus All-American and the current No. 10 in the PGA Tour University ranking Mahanth Chirravuri highlights a group of six returners from a year ago, while Georgia Tech transfer Carson Kim plus freshmen Oscar Bach and Luke Dariotis will bolster the team. All schedule updates can be found on the men’s golf team’s schedule page on pepperdinewaves.com.
