The PGA Tour will return to Trump National Doral next season after a 10-year absence.

A new $20million tournament will be moving to the South Florida course owned by controversial US President Donald Trump.

Doral last hosted a PGA Tour event back in 2016, the year Trump’s first run began.

But in 2026 it will be the home of the Miami Championship, which will be played between April 30 and May 3.

And it’s likely a sponsor will be brought on to the golf tournament’s official name.

The event will take place the week before LIV Golf plays its first US event of the 2026 season at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia from May 8 until 10.

Trump is a massive golf fan and continues to spend a lot of time in his various courses despite a turbulent second run in office.

In fact, the Republic leader spent at least 24 out of his first 100 days on the green.

That is despite having to deal with war in Europe after Russia’s illegal invasion in Ukraine, which he promised to end in the first 24 hours of his presidency.

Trump received immense criticism during his recent meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin where he failed to agree a ceasefire with his counterpart, whom he repeatedly praised while criticising Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This comes amid shocking tariffs which risk global recession as per many economists.

Trump has also met tumbling approval ratings of between 39 per cent and 45 per cent, which are the lowest for any newly-elected president at the 100-day mark in more than seven decades, according to CNN.

And of course the president has dealt with immense backlash, even from his own supporters, after refusing to share the Epstein files.
