The sixth Moutai Golf Tournament was successfully held recently at the Kytäjä Golf, Finland’s top ranking golf course with two 18 holes courses- featuring South-East and North-West in Hyvinkää, said a press release.

About 100 players from China and Finland participated in the tournament on August 9 this year jointly hosted by Kweichow Moutai’s Finnish Distributor -China Spirit Oy and Kytäjä Golf with the support from Moutai’s headquarter and Moutai Import /Export Co,Ltd.

The golfers arrived at the club house in the morning on the tournament´s day and enjoyed the breakfast followed by a short briefing on the rules of the two men scramble match with 2 pairs in each team and China Spirit Oy by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kytäjä Golf, Jukka Koivu.

With the strong support of Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd., the sixth consecutive Moutai Cup Masters Tournament further strengthened the connection between its brand and high-end quality living and experiences.

Photo backdrops, banners, cart window decals, balloons, Moutai logos on cart roofs, and Flying Fairy Moutai vases all contributed to a festive atmosphere.

In addition, the organizers prepared exquisite gift bags for every participant, including golf caps, logo golf ball boxes, and logo wooden tees, further highlighting the theme of the tournament.

Despite the early morning hour, a tasting session was arranged for the players.

Before the tournament began, CEO of the golf course and representatives of China Spirit Oy, Moutai’s distributor in Finland addressed at the inaugural ceremony, wishing everyone an enjoyable and successful tournament.

Many distinguished guests including Hannu Hoisto Saarioinen, Director of Customer Relations at Saarioinen, Du Wei, CEO of Hua Wei Finland, Li Bishan, Principal owner of China Spirit Oy, Jasmine Liu, Principal owner of Aporol Trading, Stella Zhang, Secretary of Chinese Enterprises Association in Finland, Heidi Saarinen, Chairman of the board of and Lady Captain of Kytäjä Golf, Matti Savolainen, Captain of Kytäjä Golf, Arto Lapiolahti, former member of Finnish Parliament, Juha Rossi -Senior Advisor of Sofigate IT Ltd, Jyrki Nurmesniemi, Founder of Nurmesniemi Design Oy, Martti Metsovuori & Tarja Metsovuori co-founders of Metsovuori Rakennus Oy, Pia Korpiola-Koivu, shareholder of Korpiola Labs Oy, Markus Vuorela , founder of Vuorela Solutions Oy, Markus Vuorela, IT Vuorela Solutions Oy and Tang Chao, CEO of China Spirit Oy were present among others on the occasion.

This year’s tournament attracted a large number of participants, with a total of 20 groups comprising 80 players. The competition adopted the popular Irish Rumble format.

This format emphasized team collaboration and social interaction, making the Moutai Cup Masters an excellent platform for networking and enjoyment.

Due to the large number of participants, players were assigned to start from different holes.

After nearly 5 hours of competition, players returned to the clubhouse for lunch with drinks.

Torni, Tuukkanen, Pavas, Metsovuori secured the first place in the tournament while Saarinen, Goumache, Bishan, Yi secured second with special mention to two Chinese players in this group Li Bishan and Stella Liang. Lapiolahti, Rossi, Halin, Halin secured third position.

Li Bishan also achieved the best individual stroke play score, finishing -7 under par with a total of 65 points.

At the end of the match an award giving ceremony and Gala dinner was held at the meticulously decorated Northeast Tiger Restaurant adorned with Moutai-themed decorations where all the competitors and guests took part.

The courses were decorated inside and out with Moutai-themed elements. As the only BMW-named golf course in Finland, it had just been equipped with new all-black electric golf carts.

The awards ceremony was officially opened by Jukka Koivu and Tang Chao expressing gratitude to Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. for their long-term support of the Finnish market.

After the award ceremony, CEO of China Spirit Oy – Tang Chao gave a special speech to praise the bond between Kweichow Moutai and Golf in Finland.

“As a symbol of Chinese heritage and excellence, Moutai embodies centuries of craftsmanship and the pursuit of perfection — values we share with the spirit of golf,” Chao said.

Guests savored authentic Chinese cuisine and drinks.

The climax of the evening was a Moutai-themed grand cake prepared for all 100 guests.

Jukka Koivu, was invited to cut the Moutai theme cake, marking a celebration of the precious friendship between China and Finland.

Authentic Chinese food with a zip of Moutai entertained the guests with a memorable experience.

China Spirit Oy is aiming at organizing this kind of cultural and sport events with other golf courses in Nordic countries and rest of the Europe.
