Americans have not held back with their verdicts on a potential wedding between Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump taking place at the White House.

The golf superstar’s relationship with the U.S. President’s former daughter-in-law seems to be moving at a steady pace after the pair rocked the internet by going public with their relationship earlier in the year. While many are undoubtedly happy for the pair, there have understandably been questions floated about, too.

Woods only confirmed their relationship back in March but before long, it was believed to be only a matter of time before him and Vanessa lived under the same roof.

Shortly after, reports emerged of the couple being “wedding bells serious”, despite only having started dating around Thanksgiving.

Then, over the weekend, a source claimed to RadarOnline.com that Woods and Trump have set their sights on the White House as the perfect venue to tie the knot.

While the PGA Tour star has a notoriously strong relationship with Donald Trump, with the 79 year old revealing at the end of March that Woods had contacted him about his relationship with his ex-daughter-in-law, to which he gave his blessing, many have raised their eyebrows, reports the Irish Star.

Not only do some find it unusual for President Trump to welcome his son Donald Jr. ‘s former wife into the White House to exchange vows with another man, but many are struggling to understand why Woods is opting to marry his new love interest in such a location.

“The wedding in the WH is a publicity stunt. If Vanessa had any real self-respect, she’d distance herself from the Trumps because they’re all corrupt. Speaking of which, I wonder if Don Jr. will attend,” one person wrote on social media.

“Seems kind of unusual, if not entirely unlikely, that being an ex-daughter-in-law would portend such glad tidings, and the offer of a Whitehouse wedding, from Trump,” a second person quipped.

“When did the White House start booking weddings for non-family members? And why do they even need Trump’s approval for their wedding? Who the hell is he in the scheme of things?” posted a third.

Numerous individuals responding to the announcement also raised concerns about the potential cost to taxpayers for this proposed ceremony between Woods and his socialite partner.

“And how much is this going to cost the American tax payer?” one person fumed. “The Whitehouse used to be a place of dignity, Trump has destroyed that with his gaudy redecorations, paving over the Rose Garden and his plan to build a totally unnecessary ballroom all to stroke his fragile ego.”

Another added: “Trump forgets that the White House is the people’s house. He’s just using it for 4 yrs. Congress should step in on this and all the other costly and not needed changes that he wants to carry out!”

A third posted: “Thoughts and middle fingers to them both, hope they have a lousy life, you know the taxpayers are going to pay the lion’s share of their wedding while a lot of us are struggling to keep a roof over our heads along with food and medical insurance.”
