STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State Women’s Golf head coach Isabel Jimenez announced her program’s slate for the 2025 fall campaign.

The reigning WAC-Champion Texans will be heading to five events this fall, all outside the state of Texas. Only one of the five invitationals are familiar to the Texans with the other four being their first time as a program competing in the event.

Last season, Tarleton State Women’s Golf claimed their first WAC title at the WAC Championships at Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz. As a team the Texans shot 12 over-par to top the field and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals for the first time in program history. Sophomore Louise Depadt claimed the individual crown for the first time in school history as well carding a 10-under par, 206, to win by four strokes. For their efforts in the tournament and across the entire season, Depadt was named WAC Women’s Co-Golfer of the Year and coach Jimenez was tabbed the WAC Women’s Co-Coach of the Year. Junior Lou Deltombe was also named to the All-WAC Second Team.

“We are very excited for this fall 2025 schedule,” said coach Jimenez. “We are leveling up, competing against some big teams, and we are excited to show them that we have come to stay. Competing against stronger fields means more ranking points opportunities for the team and for each individual player, not only in the national rankings but also in the World Amateur Ranking and National Rankings of each country. We are growing, our schedule shows that, and we are excited for what’s to come.”

Tarleton State will open their fall campaign in Savannah, Georgia at The Southern. It will mark the first time the Texans will travel to Georgia in the D1 era. The Purple and White will open with the two-day, 54-hole tournament at the Savannah Golf Club on Sept. 8-9.

The squad will continue its second week of competition with its second trip to Washington in the last five years. The Texans will compete in the Kalispel Invitational hosted by Eastern Washington. The two-day event will run from Sept. 22-23 at the Kalispel Golf Club. The Purple and White last competed in Washington in the fall of 2022 at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle U.

Next, the Texans will play a pair of events in Kansas. First, the Purple and White will compete at the Marilynn Smith Invitational on Oct. 6-7. The two-day, 54-hole event will be held at the Lawrence Country Club. Two weeks later, the crew will return to the Sunflower State to compete in the Powercat Invitational hosted by Kansas State. The Texans will compete in the 54-hole event at the Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kan. on Oct. 20-21.

The Texans will conclude their fall slate on Oct. 27-28 in Nevada at The Clash at Boulder Creek. Tarleton State will be making its second consecutive trip to the event after a top 10 finish a season ago. It will be the third time the Texans head to Boulder Creek Golf Club as a Division I program as the 2021 WAC Championships were held in Boulder City, Nev.

Tarleton State will look to defend its conference title in the spring in McKinney, Texas. The full women’s golf spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
