Landon Silinsky previews the TOUR Championship and gives his picks for your DraftKings fantasy golf lineups.
The PGA TOUR heads to Atlanta, Georgia this week for the final leg of the FedExCup Playoffs — the TOUR Championship. East Lake Golf Club will be the host, and measures as a 7,440-yard par 70 with Bermuda greens.
This week’s field features the top 30 players remaining in the FedExCup standings, led by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. For the third consecutive week, there will be no cut, guaranteeing all players four rounds..
Below, I have outlined three of my favorite DraftKings plays for the week.

Ludvig Aberg ($10,100)
Let’s get this out of the way: you should absolutely have exposure to Scottie Scheffler this week. He’s undeniably the best player on the planet right now, coming off another dominant victory at the BMW, highlighted by one of the most ridiculous chip shots you’ll ever see. That said, it’d be too cliché to write him up here at $13,900 in a 30-man field.
Instead, we’ll start with Aberg, who continued his torrid stretch at Caves Valley with a T7 finish. It marked the third time in his past four starts that the Swede has finished T9 or better. Aberg’s full arsenal was on display last week, gaining strokes across every major category—most notably on the greens, where he gained 4.1 strokes putting.
During this stretch, the 25-year-old ranks third in the field in SG: Ball-Striking, trailing only Scheffler and J.J. Spaun, while sitting sixth in SG: Tee-to-Green and fifth in Total Strokes Gained. He’s making a strong end-of-season push and is absolutely live to win the TOUR Championship this week. Aberg made his East Lake debut last year, finishing 16th, so he does have some familiarity with the course.
With a massive $3,800 price gap from Scheffler, Aberg offers tremendous value as a starting point in lineups if you’re fading the World No. 1. He can also be paired with Scheffler in a stars-and-scrubs build.
Viktor Hovland ($9,400)
Hovland is coming off a T7 finish at Caves Valley, his best result since the Scottish Open last month. The Norwegian was dialed in with his irons, gaining 6.7 strokes on approach to lead the field. And much like Aberg, Hovland continued to gain strokes across all aspects of his game, setting him up for another strong push toward the FedEx Cup title this week.
This will be Hovland’s sixth career start at East Lake, and his course history is impressive, with a win here in 2023 and a T5 in 2021. When he’s dialed in, we know just how high his ceiling is. At 27, he’s already proven he can go toe-to-toe with Scheffler on multiple occasions throughout his career.
At $9,400 in this small field, Hovland is a great play, especially when you factor in his win equity at that price.
J.J. Spaun ($8,100)
Spaun kept his scorching iron play rolling last week at Caves Valley, gaining 4.9 strokes on approach, following up his 6.9-stroke performance at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and 2.9-stroke performance at the Open Championship. The reigning U.S. Open champ now ranks second in the field over the last 16 rounds in SG: Approach, while also sitting second in SG: Tee-to-Green in the same time frame.
Spaun’s putter went completely cold on him last week, which is why he had to settle for a T23 finish despite his ball-striking performance. The good news, however, is that Spaun tends to bounce back quickly after a tough week with the putter—after losing 2.1 strokes at the Scottish Open, he gained 2.7 the very next week at the Open Championship. With a 3.5-stroke loss on the greens last week, expect a solid rebound at East Lake.
If that rebound does occur, he’ll undoubtedly be in contention this week. At $8,100, you really can’t ask for much more.
