Hi, this is Steve from Adabout Golf. Welcome to the channel. I’m here at Golf HQ in Tapuna. And this week, we’re looking at something that we all use every week when we play golf, but we don’t really put a lot of thought into. That’s golf te’s. So, out of interest, I asked Chat GPT. I said, “What do golf professionals use for golf tees? What brand uh do they use and why do they use them?” And today I’m just going to go through a range of different TE’s and at the end I’m going to reveal which is the brand that golf professionals use the most when playing golf on tour. All right, we’re going to start off with a brand called Pride Sports um PTS professional tea system. This is called their wood bios 2 3/4 length 69 mm. It looks like this one it’s quite good at the back here. They’ve got um whether it’s for irons I presume that’s what hybrids fairway woods and drivers. So it’s highlighted that these particular TE’s the yellow ones are more suited for your fairway woods or your driver which is pretty cool. Uh so yeah that brand’s called Pride Sports. Pride Sports also have another model which is just for woods only driver which is back end that is 3 and 1/4 83 mm. Uh, they’re obviously made of wood. Could be called wood bios. And what do they say? Blah blah blah. Tells you easy identification of length. Yeah. Okay, I get it. So, they’re just giving you different colors for the different size of um tea that you need depending on the club that you’re going to hit. They’ve also got this special edition one 3 and a/4 83 mm. Oh, I see. Right. Okay. It’s special because at the end you’ve got um the different um cards. So, hearts, diamonds, spades or clubs. So yeah, that’s pretty cool. Second brand we’re going to look at is called Pride Professional Tea System. So different from the Pride Sports one. Um, same brand though. Yep. Same logo. Um, this one is Prolenth Plus 3 and a/4 83 mm. This one says for drivers over 360 C. All right. Um, that one. And then they’ve got another one which is 2 and 3/4 in 69 mm for drivers under 360cc which I find that quite interesting. I think maybe that’s the new mini type drivers cuz most drivers are 360 cc. I think that’s the max you can go up to. Right. Uh then they have another one which is for irons hybrids and low profile woods which is 2 and 1/8 of an inch 53 mm. Next brand we’re going to look at is called Tori. And these guys have such a massive range of um colors and and sort of styles. Uh this one is called the Pro with a white spine. Uh utilizing advanced launch technology. What does that actually mean? It means less friction, more distance. Virtually unbreakable. That’s always handy, isn’t it? And a unique barbed point at the bottom. Oh, I see. You can see here. Hopefully, it’s got like a little sort of barbed. So, I guess it keeps it more secure in the ground. But yeah, they’ve got such a different range. This one is the pro. This is so pro white spine. This one is large white spine. It’s got colored tips at the top, which is interesting. Uh what else they got? They’ve got what’s this one? Tori. It’s just called pro neon. So, I guess just a bit more colorful. Sticking with the tor. This one is plus high launch. What does that mean? It means optimum height tort plus sets your golf ball at the perfect height for modernday drivers delivering the best smash factor. Interesting. Oh, okay. So, yeah, when you stick it into the ground, it it stops at the ground level, whereas the other ones you could, you know, push it down as far as you like. So, this sets the height, which is quite cool. Uh, this is just what’s this? combo white spine. And what’s this one? Uh, just some more colors. Combo neons. Oh, this one’s a pack that’s got the smaller T’s and the bigger T’s in it. And these two finer ones, we got mini neons, which are the smaller ones. And this is combo neons. It’s just a pack that’s got neons. You’ve got um the smaller ones and the bigger ones in the same pack. Cool. Like I said before, these guys have got such a massive range and they’re claiming to be the number one TE in golf. Um, this one is plus low launch. So, what is that? Uh, Tor plus low launch sets the golf ball at the perfect height to deliver a low ball flight. Just not quite sure. I guess maybe three would, you know, it’s quite a lot smaller. This one is a just think oh it’s a combo pack and you’ve got black spine rather than white and you got the big ones and the smaller ones and then this one is just mini black spine uh for I guess irons off the tea or fairway woods or I guess you could have a hybrid. And then finally to brand this is the limited edition. Don’t know what’s so special about this one. Um, doesn’t actually say advance later to no, don’t know. Uh, then you’ve got the mini white spine. So, different colors on the top again. And this one is the large black spine one. So, yeah, these guys have a shitload. So, here here’s another model from that Pride brand. Uh, these are actually plastic. Uh, this pack’s just got one color. This one’s got um pink and green, pink only in this one. This is the turn 3/4 in or 69 mm brand. So yeah, this is for people that prefer a plastic te. I guess they last a bit longer than the wooden ones, right? And this is just their version of the driver te the the the bigger one 3 and 1/4 in 83 mm. But one thing I didn’t mention um is see at the top here they’ve got like this cradle at the top and they say on the back here uh [Music] less friction. So the low resistant head creates less friction. So this is a brand that a lot of people in New Zealand would be familiar with. You see these in most pro shops. It’s by a company called Golf Fern. So New Zealand um company golf equipment and it’s golf distributors.co.nz. So they have various tea heights for irons or fair to drive. So they’re plastic uh pretty basic, pretty cheap. You know, these are the ones that most of us sort of use. week in week out I would say. And this is just a combo pack. Uh that must be for a driver. And this is for probably yeah lower drive smaller drivers or fairway woods I guess. And this is just the um irons one. Uh this one is sort of more adjustable. You can push it further down in the ground whereas this one obviously stops when it hits the the bottom of the base. And yeah, just same but a little bit bigger. And Golf HQ actually do their own brand of TE’s as well. Uh you can buy them online obviously or you can go to their Takapuna store or FAP para stores as well. So yeah they’ve got all the different heights. It’s plastic pretty strong. So yeah just want a nice simple strong tea. You can pick them up here from Golf HQ. So, this brand I’d never heard of and it was James here at Golf HQ and Tapuna told me about them when I was saying I want to do a video about TE’s and uh they’re called Level Pegs, premium golf TE’s and he uses these and he said he likes them because they’ve got like um like a lacquer finish which actually makes them quite strong. So, they’re wooden so they’re quite light. Um but he likes the fact that you can then um depending on the height you want the tea you can push it down and it will obviously end where you you know whatever color you choose. So, just adjustable in that sort of sense. So, yeah, pretty cool. Nice um eco-friendly packaging as well. Right guys, we’re in the AI system that I use the most, which is Perplexity. It’s like Chat GPT, but it actually gets it info from a lot of different AIs like Gro and uh Chat GPT and a few different others. So, we’re going to ask the question, which I said at the start, what golf tros use the most? Okay, so tour pros most commonly use wooden golf tees, which is interesting. Pride professional tea, wooden tees are especially popular on the PGA tour. Isn’t that interesting? So, wooden bamboo te’s, plastic te. So, yeah, the one that they go for is this one. Pride professional tea system. There you go, guys. If you want to play like a tour pro, go out and buy some of these. So, there we have it. range of TE’s, but AI says that the Pride Professional TE system is the one that tour pros use the most uh when they play golf. So, huh, I’m going to give it a go. Of course, I am. You know, why not? Um, but yeah, thanks for watching, guys. If you want to buy these TE’s or any of these other brands of TE’s, you can buy them online at golf hq.co.nz. If you use the code madaboutgolf, you’ll get $15 off your first online order. Uh, but of course, you can come down to the store here and take a puna and fun. Uh, thank you for watching. Really appreciate it. If you like the video, give us a thumbs up and please subscribe. It really does help the channel. And I’ll see you in the next one. Cheers. [Music] Hi, this is Steve from Mab about golf at Matt Golf HQ here in Tapuna and this week we’re looking at golf te’s and I asked GPT what is the number one golf branded golf All right. Bip. [Music]

Wood bois (like boys)
Would have loved some research in respect to which tees pro actually use, interviews or messages with pros so we know which tees they take advantage of, we're still guessing after this video. Nice tee collection though, thanks for the video.
