Harry Hall walks us through his clutch chip-in on 17, a shot he’s been practicing all week — and it paid off when it mattered most. Hall reflects on making his first-ever TOUR Championship, the confidence he’s gained working with Butch Harmon and Fanny Sunesson, and how a day hitting balls with Nick Faldo in Montana changed his mindset. Hear how belief, consistency, and mental toughness have carried him to the PGA Tour’s season finale.

Uh let’s just start with the the pitching on 17. Just talk us through that. Yeah, I just bogeied 16 and uh I knew I couldn’t afford to drop a shot coming in and uh hit a beautiful five iron just the way I wanted to and it just rolled a little bit over the back and um I’ve been hitting that chip shot on the practice chipping green all week like same spot warming up every day like with the 54 into the grain on an up slope and um I as soon as I saw the light I’ve been doing this all week and uh yeah, hit a perfect shot. What are your emotions right now uh going to your first tour championship? Yeah, massive. Um really happy. Can’t wait to play in the French Cup next week and hopefully keep continuing to play well. I was going to say your game is obviously in great shape. You feel like there’s just great momentum going into uh the season finale next week. Yeah, I need to do a bit of work off the tea. Um, I’m I’m hitting a lot of shots that are good drives, just not fading as much as I like them to. Um, and uh, yeah, I need I need to do a bit of work off the tea if I’m going to win next week. And hopefully I can do that Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in the practice days and then um, see what happens. What does this say about your the consistency of your season that you’re going to the tour championship? Yeah, I I just put it down to my skill set hasn’t changed too much. It’s uh yeah, definitely te the green. I’m swinging it a lot better thanks to to Butch and been working a lot on my mental game. Just doing some work there. Um and I think that that’s been the consistency for me just in my decision making, not so much my quality of golf shots. How much does Butch help with the with the mental side? That’s what all guys have kind of said. It’s not just the swing. It’s He’s more between the ears even more. Yeah, Butch helps when I see him in person, I’d say. And I haven’t seen him in person in a few months just cuz I haven’t been home to Vegas. Um but he defin you know, if he tells you you’re swinging it great and you can be one of the best in the world, then you know you’re going to believe it cuz he’s one of the best coaches in the world. But um I’ve been working with Fanny Sunson who caddy from Nick Faldo on my mental game really. and um we’ve been working together for the last four or five months and or last 3 and 1/2 months. Um and I put a lot of my decision making and getting a little bit more comfortable on the course down to my work with her. How’d that come about? Yeah, but um I met her at the players a few years ago and I also got to know Nick really well. He invited me up to Montana to hit some balls with him for a day, which was the best experience in the world. And um you know, I’ve tried to relate to Nick a little bit. He won his first major at 30. And I always thought I was a little bit of a slow progressor and just took a step up the ladder every year. And um you know, I wanted to learn as much as possible off him. I think I did that in that day. and he came and watched me at the open, hit some balls for an hour as well at um Port Rush, so that was awesome. And um yeah, I just met Fanny at the players and we had a chat and then I think I saw her down the line and started working together. Yeah. Is just kind So all the stuff you kind of just kind of take is when they’re telling you good things about your game kind of more validation that you’re doing the right things. Yeah. I think if you have people like that in your team that tell you how, you know, good you are and you’re on the right path, then I think, you know, down the line you’re going to believe it. And um I think I’m doing that now. Harry, thank you very much. Congratulations. Thank you.
