Anirban Lahiri and Shubhankar Sharma represent the pinnacle of modern Indian golf, embodying the country’s growing presence on the international stage. Lahiri, a veteran with a career spanning over a decade on the world tours, made history by becoming the first Indian to achieve a top-5 finish in a men’s major, with his T5 at the 2015 PGA Championship. He also became the first Indian to play in the prestigious Presidents Cup. Sharma, a younger prodigy, burst onto the scene with back-to-back wins on the European Tour in late 2017 and early 2018. This rapid rise earned him an invitation to the Masters and other majors, showcasing a fearless approach to the game. Together, they have set a new standard for Indian golfers, demonstrating that they can not only compete but also contend for titles on the biggest stages. Their careers, though different in their trajectory, symbolize the past, present, and future of Indian golf.
You’ll be dedicated to some of the best Indian golfers, the two best Indian golfers currently. And the reason why we want to dedicate this video to some of the best Indian golf there is out there. These two Indian golfers, they are Anabang Uhari and Shabang Hut Shama. They have are two of the top golfers and they’ve played at some of the world’s highest level tournaments and even majors. Now, we’re going to walk through each one of them one by one. Starting off with Anabang Harry who is one of the main stars. He’s very important golfer within Indian. has been playing a long time and has achieved many great things winning in Asia. Anabang won many tournaments in Asian tour and he has helped him become one of the best golfers in the world. His best major win in 2025. He played at the PGA Championship, one of the biggest golf events in the world. and he also finished very well, fifth place. No other Indian golfer has ever done that before. This was a huge achievement for the game of golf in India. Now the US and the world team, he was picked for the international team for the presidential cup in 2015 and 2016. I mean, he got to play against some of the best golfers in the United States. And then, of course, there’s the future. He’s still playing and has unbelievable experience. He is known to handle some of the biggest games known out there and making people believe he can do a close major wing event again. And of course, there’s the other major younger golfer that we want to talk about and their amazing golfing potential. Shabbanku Shama is one of the youngest golfers and has become famous very quickly. His rise to fame is just in a few months. Shamanka has won two major events for the European tour in late 2017 and early 2018. This was a very exciting time for Indian golf. He’s playing in the Masters as well because of his wins. Shamut played in the Masters tournament which is a very special event and he’s one of the youngest players to do that. This was a big moment for him and while playing he is also in the US Open and champ US Open championship which he has helped learn and get better over time to play with some of the world’s best golfers around the world. What’s next for Shabbanka? Well, we don’t know but he has a lot of talent and he’s still learning. These are two of the among greatest generational Indian golfers out there and many people hope that one day they can become the first Indian golfers to win a major tournament.
