Me and Elliot are going to scramble versus Sam. Now, here’s the thing about Sam. We do our homework. At least I do my homework a little bit before we come out and do these things. So, um, I’m going to put as much pressure as I humanly can on Sam by saying he’s by far the best golfer that we’re going to play in this series so far. Um, I would even venture to say we’ve played some pros. So, I I don’t know, maybe Austin will take offense that of Heatherwood. I don’t mean that be offensive, Austin, but there’s a lot of pressure on Sam today to perform very well because I’m telling you that he’s by far the best golfer. You can say that. Well, I I just got to say I’m I’m a little rusty because I haven’t played golf since yesterday. So, Oh, since yesterday. Okay. I’m a little nervous. You know, I’ve heard good things about your guys’ games. He’s making up things. He’s making up things. Yeah. I I knew as soon as he said that uh Mike uh from Sharon Woods said that uh we were we were really good. I knew what that meant. I was well I’m well aware what that meant. Well, you know the bet is always won on the first te. That’s right. So that’s we got to negotiate these mulligans and Oh yeah. and all that. Right. So it’s uh it’s straight up match play. Nine holes. No strokes. No mulligans either. No mulligans. We’re not giving away any of that. Uh, we did try to give some mulligans to to our man Mike and and he and he wasn’t happy about that. I don’t think he was happy about that. But that’s here nor there. This is about sand today. And the vineyard nine holes. Here we go. I I I bought one of these martini tees in there. I used to make fun of people, but I’ve lost so many tees now that you know what? If I can’t find this tea, then I just don’t deserve I have to keep buying tees if I can’t find this tea. I appreciate you taking a bogey. And yeah, we wanted to make sure we hacked it around. Take a little pressure off Sam cuz he’s not had that before. Hang on. All right. With those guys being about 50 yards in front of me, uh, I’m going to have to try to hit a good shot here because I think with them playing a scramble, I think they’re going to have a pretty easy birdie here. Although, I’ve seen Elliot’s approach shot, so it might be up to his partner to hit the green. Hang on. might be a little too far right bunker. So, we got about 180 to the front, probably 200 to the pen. I do think our camera guy, Evan, is in the middle of the green. I think we would have probably told him ideally to back off it a little bit, but he’s safe. He is safe. He’s Yeah, that’s We got some good chirping over here by Arnold Palmer. All right, Trace. I will find it eventually. That’s a good layup. That’s what you’re supposed to do in a scramble. The first hitter just keeps it in play. Um, I heard him say something about he was going to make a take a longer club cuz he’s going to take water out of play. I don’t know totally where that is exactly right now, but I do know I’m going to hit a little extra club, 188 I think, to the flag. I’m going to hit a 195 shot, sixiron. Come back just a little bit. It probably won’t grow back. So, you take your club and just hammer it in. And that way, your superintendent will be happy and the golfers behind you will be happy as well. It’s a three tier green, which it makes it very challenging. So it really is tough to get the ball on the top tier. That pin is back right. It’s playing 153 yards to the pin, slightly downwind. Um, I have a I’m one up lead through three holes. So, I’m gonna try to get it back to that pin. It’s a risky shot, but I think it’ll be well worth the risk. I don’t think that’s what he wanted to do. But this is Elliot’s moment. This is what Elliott was made for right here. Yeah. When when you look at Elliot, this is the shot. This is a shot that he’s made for. Bet you’re tired of taking tra. And I The reason I know he’s lying is because I I drove the ball horrifically that day. I mean, we use my drive on every hole. So, that’s how you know it was bad a bad day. Still can’t hit a ball. Yeah, that’s not uh that’s not position A there, Elliot. What? Elliot’s better than what he is right now. I got to I got to make sure that he he at some point is going to play better. So I’m down one. Just got to hit a miracle shot. Try to win this hole. So, I think they’re looking back like I even hit it yet. And I’m going to act like it was a practice swing. They didn’t even see me put that ball in play. And now I’m going to try to hit another good one and they won’t even know. All right. Maybe they won’t know. Did I see that? Yeah, I see. But what that proves, I think more than anything, is that here’s the thing. I don’t know if people are going to watch this video, they’re going to really understand how good Sam is. Sam is unbelievably good. I looked at his scores. He’s playing in these tournaments, shooting 64, 63s. He’s played in the PGA Tour a little bit, I think. Right. Couple of PGA events. Played a couple PGA events. He’s trying to be humble. I mean, if he’s capable of just accidentally, you know, every so often you hit one really bad shot, then people that go out and play like once every month or once a week and get all pissed off because they hit some shots like that, like I think people should realize how hard it is to hit quality shot after quality shot. So, we’re going to let him have that. He’s he’s going to play other ball. We want to win this fair and square. Trace is right. Sam Sam and I aren’t that different our games. So, I I think that I you know, I’ve had a bad day out here. Clearly, he’s having a bad day. I’ve got a stomach virus. That’s right. That’s right. and and it’s coming to play today. That’s you know, who knows? Everything’s right. So, it’s the swing. Sam was trying to teach me a swing. I’m going to have to learn that whatever. Got got kind of some quirkiness to it in regards to just you just can’t recklessly bomb the ball down the middle of the fairway and wedge it in every single time. So, that makes golf a little more fun. But otherwise, that’s going to do it. Uh, we won. Sam, I hate to break this to you. This is going to be this is going to be really really devastating for you. Well, we’ve been doing this for about what I don’t know, two months. Yeah. And we’ve we’ve we’ve only done it about six times where we’ve actually played them because, you know, we try to be nice if someone’s like, “Hey, I got a 70 handicap. I used to be good way back then. I’m still a pro.” Right. Right. We’re like, “Ah, it’s probably not fair to to do the scramble deal against you.” Yeah. So, to be fair to you, it’s not every single time that we scramble against somebody. So, that’s some respect. But it is the first time that we beat somebody when we scramble. First time. First time. Congratulations. So, yeah, there’s a first time for everything. And u I learned a lot. I’m I took plenty of notes of what not to do. That’s right. And I’m not going to play golf until tomorrow.
