there are some some tournaments that he played in that let’s say aren’t you know a full field of the best players in the world so run me through some of the tournaments that he was credited for exactly so you told me to come with some receipts and I did I came with some actual CV actually one C it’s actually one CVS receipt that I cut up into about 10 spots so let’s start with the 1936 West Virginia Pro closed this was basically Sam playing against local uh Club Pros it was a 36 hole event he won by 16 shots this goes that his first PJ tour win he gets credited for and the reason being is that he always it held like a a big spot in his heart or something so they gave him credit for that um that that one’s ridiculous obviously 1937 the Crosby proam which obviously today is AT&T this event was only 18 holes that year the inaugural they gave him credit for it he gets to keep it uh 18 holes the tour now you have to have at at least 54 holes for it to count Adam Scott won the Nissan open in 20 2005 at 36 holes doesn’t count for his official record Sam Sneed 18 hole win counts the reason uh they said because it was the inaugural event it held extra historical significance so they let him keep that one all right let’s move along another rece here 1946 World Championship of golf so good this is a 36 hole event against three other players which when we get into they have that they have have that didn’t they used to have that the grand slam of golf exactly it’s gonna I’m I was gonna say it’s going to sound a lot like when we talk about tigers’s grand slam of golf anyway this one counts as well for Sam and then the last one I want to mention is the 1950 Bing Crosby proam uh this time they actually did play 54 holes but there was a four-way tie and because they couldn’t play the next day because some guys had to travel they just declared all four winners all four four four guys won that tournament what four guys won that tournament four guys won the tournament he said you get a win you get a win you get a win you get a win I mean total joke right so those are some of them overall I just want to say you know again I’m not I don’t I don’t want to kill the guy I mean it’s s he’s he’s one of the great um you know maybe one of the top five players of all time but he did have five wins against fields of 16 or fewer people and he had five team wins
