Tommy Fleewood, you could really make the argument, Mark, that he had one hand on this trophy. Two shot lead with three holes to go and he just didn’t have it. He couldn’t get it done the stretch. And we had a similar conversation around the Travelers Championship where he coughed up that lead, too. What are your thoughts now on Fleetwood because there’s a lot of scar tissue building up and building up fast. You know, it’s funny you bring up the Travelers because what transpired on 16 on the par five kind of gave me a similar feeling to what happened on the 72nd green at Travelers Championship where it just starts to unravel and gets gets away from you. Um, and it’s the mind racing and to your point, Adam, it’s where it’s no longer experience. Like 2023 at the RBC Canadian Open at Oakdale, that’s experience. That’s even though Tommy Fleetwood doesn’t come out on top and Nick Taylor wins the RBC Canadian Open. You leave there with confidence. Why? You made birdies. You made putts coming home. You kept going further in the playoff. You pushed. You pushed. And you showed that you can succeed and play your best when you need to most. You ended up losing to a 70 uh twoft ball. Okay. Fast forward now two years later. This is different. Three putting from the edge of the green and losing the travelers. Uh, you know, going the majority of Sunday waiting for your first birdie while the rest of the field is lapping you. Not being able to get up and down at a par five and and not even giving yourself a real good look at a birdie at a at the par five, right? Sloppy mistakes coming home. This is the difference. There’s a real difference between, you know, tools in the tool chest. I didn’t get it done, but tools in the tool chest. That’s a 23 Canadian Open versus what’s happened this year. This is now scar tissue. And the only thing I could say, Adam, is, you know, it’s hard not to cheer for Tommy Fleetwood. He takes full accountability. He speaks to the media. He doesn’t run from it. Um hopefully he has a great RDER Cup and maybe that can lift him up and and give him the tools necessary to to finally get the monkey off the back. Yeah, he’s too good not to win. 29 career top five finishes on the PGA Tour and still looking for that first win on the PGA Tour.
